Steve Hummer is working on a story for Saturday’s AJC, and would like to hear your opinion. Have you bought into these Falcons? Or, mindful of the disappointing past of the team, do you remain hesitant about expecting much from it? What is the general level of excitement of those around you?

Please e-mail your thoughts to Steve@ajc.com, and please include name, the city where you live and a phone number.

Stay Healthy . Stay Focused….!! J is right. They are getting all the pieces in place as the season progresses. As long as they remain competitive they will do well.

I’m telling you right now it is going to be a smack down. It’s amazing, look at the pay back factor: Andy Reid for bringing in Viceroy Ichiban Cooter Kooter in our dome a few years back, and the demise himself of Viceroy Ichiban Cooter Kooter, quite deserving. And then a pay back to the Caints for the piece of granite outside the Superdome, for general purposes, and because we don’t like them. It’s gonna be a pummeling.

All in. The past is the past. The present is 8-0, and there’s no reason not to be excited.

ROFLMAO ….. That popping sound is the popcorn you’ll be making when you realize the game is OVER, the Caints have lost, and the MIGHTY MIGHTY FALCONS have manhandled you in your own house.

NOLA’S DONE: You’re right, we got this!

Note to Caints fans: Go Green, Save a tree! Re-use that paper sack every week.

I been on this ride since 78 and that horrible loss to the COWGALS at Fulton Co Stadium, so what does that tell you? I’m a Falcon fan and live and die with them. So my message to all the fair weather and band wagon jumpers, let the doorknob hit you in the azz, we don’t need you.

I like the disrespect!!!!……..The more we get disrespected the better the FALCONS are gonna be it motivates them….

We got disrespected in 1998 all the way to the NFC CHAMPIONSHIP game when we were a 14 point underdog to the VIKINGS remember? If it wasnt for the EUGENE ROBINSON thing and us only gettin a week to prfepare for the Broncos I think we coulda pulled off a Superbowl win that yr. The magic ran out the night before the game.

Not getting respect, does not equate to disrespect. No one is in awe of your team, ‘cept you guys. Your team has a history of folding when the going gets rough.

Going to be rough in the Mercedes Benz Superdome, real rough. Bring your cart.

As a Falcon lifer (fan since 1974), I can say that Mike Smith’s\Dimitroff’s Falcons are unlike any Falcons we have ever rooted for. Sure, there were a few good years sprinkled in under some other regimes, but these Falcons bring a level of excellence and consistency never before seen. The playoff losses have been disappointing, but it is only a matter a time before these Birds get some playoff wins. I suspect it will be this year.

Singletary, that was a hilarious analogy (and a funny observation about Sicilano’s resemblance to Paul Ryan).

I have been a DIE HARD Falcoholic since 1997. Every single year, game, quarter, and play I have had the utmost confidence that we will succeed. I get tired of the fairweather fans that are around our city and believe that if you are a fan of a team, you should be a fan through the good and the bad. I am absolutely PUMPED about this season, have already been to 2 games which is hard on my salary. Every Sunday if I am not at the game, I am awake bright and early grilling food and inviting friends over for the game. I have countless Falcons items, have a Falcons food blog, and at one point had the logo shaved in my head. If you are not excited for this season or any other that follows then DO NOT consider yourself a fan of the Atlanta Falcons!!!! I will continue to support all my Atlanta teams, but the Atlanta Falcons have been there for me since I was a child. I will continue to give them my support no matter what the outcome! DIRTYBIRD 4 LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
