Falcons don’t expect Eagles’ D to change under Bowles

FLOWERY BRANCH — The Eagles have a new defensive coordinator after coach Andy Reid fired Juan Castillo last week and replaced him with Todd Bowles. The Eagles had a bye so the Falcons haven’t seen their defense with Bowles in charge.
Falcons center Todd McClure said that lack of information “definitely can present a little bit of a problem” for Atlanta’s preparations but he doesn’t think it will be a major issue.
“It’s still going to be the same guys we’ve seen on film,” McClure said. “I don’t think they are going to drastically change what they’ve done. They’ve had training camp to put in their defensive philosophies and the first six games of the season. I just can’t see them changing too much.”
Bowles was hired as Philadelphia’s defensive backs coach in January. He’s been an NFL defensive assistant since 2000 and led the Dolphins to a 2-1 record as interim coach last season.
“I’ve known Todd a long time,” Falcons coach Mike Smith said. “He’s an excellent coach so we’ve got to be prepared for some ‘unscouted’ looks. [But] I don’t think there will be a mass change in what they do philosophically because they’ve invested so much time into the scheme that they’re running.”

Guess the fact that we didn’t have our head coach, Asst. head coach, and general manager on hand didn’t give our opponents any type of advantage huh?! I wonder how well the falcants would be doing in the standings if they had had their counterparts on suspension, bet it not be anywhere near 6&0. GEAUX SAINTS!!!!

The Eagles have a decent D.
Roddy & Julio need to step it up this week.
Their better than Nmandi & DRC.
Philly is still weak at LB & Safety, even though they traded for Demeco Ryans.
Their D-Line is their best unit.
That unit, in particular, features Jason Babin — the guy the Gel-Haired genious by-passed for No-Play Ray Edwards.

@Big Crimson 75: Nawh, it’s not the ratting out that is the problem, it’s throwing the team under the bus to establish a defense for the league against the player lawsuits that is the real injustice.
And on top of that, you have bozos like Decon here declaring the Saints were handed their two victories by the refs. Then he turns around and claims I’m using excuses! right after he just used the excuse that the refs gave the Saints their wins! What a biased, inconsistent, mentally challenged, bozo!
As for doing the time, I believe we are doing the time.
But, the Saints are still going to beat your team, and do it without their head coach…..LOL!

I don’t think 2 weeks is enough time for Bowles to drastically change the scheme. Doesn’t really matter anyway as long as the O-line protects Ryan and we sprinkle in a few screens to slow the rush. The real key to this game will be on the other side of the ball anyhow. With our D coxing M %ick to continue his fumbling bumbling intercepting ways.

A tough game coming up Sunday for a well rested First Place Undefeated Atlanta Falcons Team after the bye week……………Corey Peters should be back for the game after being out with a fracture in his foot to make his 2012 debut against a always dangerous Eagles Team. He had 3 sacks,interception and a fumble recovery for a touchdown last Season.
It would be nice to get the Win and being 7 – 0 and then get the Cowgirls at home the following week…………………I think it will be a close one in Philly but the Birds are just a little bit too good for the struggling Eagles…………………………………Atlanta – 24 Eagles – 20

Saints didn’t move in the power ranking even though we barely beat Tampa Bay. The Falcons are #1 and should be. A good chance we split with the Falcons this year. Not sure, will know more after we see what Peyton Manning does to us.
