FLOWERY BRANCH – Falcons running back Antone Smith, who re-injured his hamstring on the team’s first punt coverage against Washington, was declared out for Sunday’s game against the Oakland Raiders.
He will join tight end Michael Palmer, who was previously declared out by Falcons head coach Mike Smith.
Defensive tackle Peria Jerry (thigh), guard Garrett Reynolds (back), center Todd McClure (pectoral) and safety William Moore (hip), who were limited in practice on Thursday, fully participated in Friday’s practice. They were all listed as probable for the game.
Also, wide receivers Kevin Cone (knee) and Drew Davis (knee) and cornerback Dunta Robinson (shoulder) fully participated in practice and were listed as probable for the game.
Linebacker Stephen Nicholas (ankle) and defensive tackle Jonathan Babineaux (groin) remained limited in practice and were listed as questionable.

Coach let them sit, it will give them two weeks to heal and be ready for philly. We need to start off strong again after the bye week.

After the bye week, here is the rest of the Season line-up for the Atlanta Falcons and where game is and what the opponent’s record is as of now……………………………..
@ Eagles 3-2
H Cowboys 2-2
@ Saints 1-4
H Cards 4-1
@ Bucs 1-3
H Saints 1-4
@ Panthers 1-4
H Giants 3-2
@ Lions1-3
the Eagles, Cards, and Giants are the only Teams that have winning records so far this Season………………………………….I think Atlanta can and will beat all three of them Teams…………actually , looking at the rest of the schedule, I don’t see the Falcons losing a game this Season………unless they lose to someone in the NFC South cause they play the Cards and Giants in the Georgia Dome .
At worse, this AtlantaTeam goes 12 – 4 this Regular Season, possiblility of being 16 – 0 so for all the naysayers tht keep commenting the Falcons haven’t played anyone good…………..looking at it, so far, there is not really anyone on the schedule good ………………………lmao ! ! !

Now that Grimes is out Nicholas is my fav. On defense but I hope he sits out this game so Mike Pete can start and show that it is he and NOT Dent that belongs

falCANS………why are you so down on Dent and the coaches ar not? What do you expect from a player that is on the field only for 1/3 of the plays? In the ‘dog eat dog’ world of the NFL, if you can’t play you don’t play! Dent is playing!
