Falcons CB Asante Samuel vs. Redskins WR Pierre Garcon: Falcons opponents are staying away from Samuel. He doesn’t have an interception and has just one pass defensed, but he has 17 tackles. The Redskins are trying to work Garcon back into the operation after he missed two games. The speedster has averaged 25.8 yards per catch. He has an 88-yard touchdown reception, the longest in the NFL this season.

Falcons WR Roddy White vs. Redskins CB DeAngelo Hall: The two battled in Falcons practices for three seasons before Hall was traded to Oakland. White is coming off a big game against Carolina where he had eight catches for 169 yards and two touchdowns, including the key 59-yard grab in the game-winning drive. Hall had an interception last week against Tampa Bay.

Falcons RT Tyson Clabo vs. Redskins OLB Ryan Kerrigan: Clabo had a rough day against Carolina’s well-rested Charles Johnson last week. The Panthers hadn’t played in 10 days, and Johnson was full of energy as he registered 3.5 sacks and five quarterbacks hits against the Falcons. Kerrigan had a sack last week and is aiming for his fifth game with at least half of a sack. He had a solid rookie campaign in 20011 as he finished second on the team with 7.5 sacks. He has 3.5 sacks and has knocked down seven passes this season.

Hall is like an AJC Blog troll just dangling that bait out there for Roddy to draw that 15 yard unsportsmanlike. Hopefully Roddy has matured and will not be such an easy mark as he has been in years past.

Clabo had a rough day all right. One more game like that and some one else should get a shot at his position.

I’m still concerned about our runnnig game.
I’ve got to say, Turner is running with new vigor, making moves and jukes I haven’t seen in years out of him. Even though the Redskins have played tough against the run (10th ranked run defense) they’re going to see enough play action that when Turner does get the ball he’s going to get loose at some point. Either Turner is showcasing for that free-agent contract or his legal situation ticked him off…………or maybe a little of both. I say Turner goes over 100 yards on Sunday, Samuel gets a pick, Tony has 2 TD’s, Ryan throws for 400 yards and 3 TD’s!! Falcons 35-24…..!! Wait a minute…..the forecast calls for rain on Sunday. That changes everything!!

Also Rocca, the Skins punter has already had 2 blocked this year. I bet we get one!

DHall is a hot dog. He goes for the INT and whiffs on tackles. No discipline. Roddy and Julio are classy, don’t talk sh*t and they are going to school him all day! If we can run it we should have a fairly easy day … if not we could struggle but still I like us in this one. 31-24 Falcons

This will be another easy win for the Falcons. The Skins simply do not match up against the Falcons. If memory serves me correctly, D Hall was absolutely burned the last time the skins played the Falcons. Did everyone see that Verron Haynes, another former Falcon created some type of disturbance at his son’s football game in Roswell. He was not arrested, just kicked out of the Park.

Falcons at Redskins should be a good game……..I expect RGIII to do his thing…..but Falcons D should be able to wrap their talons into him enough to cause disruption in his passing game….

Falcons offense should continue rolling strong, scoring 31pts. against Redskins D……..

Falcons on three, Dominate!!!!!!!!!

FALCONS easily in this one…..too many turnovers for the rookie and the defense of the deadskins won’t be able to hold up FALCONS 34-13.

I say run the two recievers two tightends hold one TE IN TO help clabo block im not sure wats wrong with clabo but if he plays like he did last week we will need at least five guys on the line the whole game i wanna see konz shine i havent seen much of him or maybe i jus wasnt lookin close enough but looks like reynolds is playing great and kudos to baker as well holding up the blind side pretty well i say let konz play some center for mcclure if reynolds keeps playing this well hawley will be a career backup

They will score on us if the O is not aggressive; key is to jump to an early lead and take away their run game.Hence, the turnover’s will follow.

I hope Roddy makes MeAngelo look silly…..and with Babs back, the Deadskins run game should be non-existent.
If the Birds just go out there and do their job, we’ll come away with the victory….we’re definitely the superior team in this match up!!!

The Roddy White that D. Hall practiced against is not the Roddy White we have today. Roddy was a pup then, but now he’s a full grown beast. D. Hall is the same overrated, inconsistent, peice or a cornerback he’s always been. The corner operated by D. Hall is open for business.

Clabo and Baker are probably the 2 worst tackle tandem in the league. They must improve their play, especially Clabo. He’s gone down hill ever since Dahl left. Rise up!!

MeAngelo still playing foodball? I didn’t realize the NFL allowed walkers on the field.

rm…………Clabo & Baker are having good years so far. If you watch much football, all teams and different positions go thru a game like this every season. Give it a rest, and try to realize that they are pros playing against other pros that also get paid. Just sit back and relax and enjoy the season. It is never as bad or as good as it seems in one short snapshot. I will give you the fact hat the Dahl, Clabo tandum was very good. But just because Dahl left does not mean that Clabo is now left without skills and alone on an island. atience is really necessary when the HC finally has the team he really likes and believes can win

We need to start referring to the Saints as the Ne Orleans Saints, because there is no “W” in Ne Orleans.

Falcons win easily against Redskins. RGIII is good and going to be great, but Mike Nolan will disguise our versatile and athletic line backers and secondary and pick him off at least twice.

Matt Ryan will surgically slice them apart since he is personally blossoming and has a great offensive game plan, finally. We are actually throwing screens, and look how effective they have been so far.

Julio is still young and every week will get more comfortable too, along with J. Rodgers floating as a check valve. Man, we are good and the no huddle will be implemented just as Washington thinks they have adjusted to our standard game plan.

Washington is on the way up, but not there yet especially with their rookie QB. We win this 35-17.

If we were at home, it would be a blowout. Our weaknesses, as you all know, both lines. Good not great, but our schemes, designed roll outs, and blitzing will overcome the mediocre Redskins.

@Paddy — that’s why they call us fans, short for fanatics.

I’d really like to win this one, but I am just afraid we have a problem with mobile quarterbacks.

Baby Punting – - So true:

Atlanta Dream 1-2 and out of the playoffs.
Atlanta Braves 0-1 and out of the playoffs.
UGA, #5, slaughtered by South Carolina.

Our beloved Falcons, an in-door team from the Georgia Dome,
must face a hot rookie QB in the rain and mud today.

After our terrible troubles with our offensive line last week,
let’s hope for better things this afternoon.

Braves let me down, Dawgs let me down, so time for the Falcons to make it a crap weekend trifecta!
