It’s kind of quiet inside the Georgia Dome right now.

Backup quarterback Luke McCown is working on his dropbacks.

Wide receiver Harry Douglas is getting loose with some light jogging.

The action will pick up over the next two hours, but if you have any pre-game questions send them along.

Around kickoff, I’ll toss the option-pitch out to Mark Bradley, who’ll handle today’s in-game chat.

HERE ARE THE OFFICIAL INACTIVES:

Quarterback Dominique Davis, running back Antone Smith, cornerback Christopher Owens, tight end Michael Palmer, fullback Lousaka Polite, tackle Lamar Holmes and defensive end Jonathan Massaquoi.

Jason Snelling will play fullback for the Falcons.

Panthers inactives: QB Jimmy Clausen, WR Joe Adams, S D.J. Campbell, T Bruce Campbell, G Mike Pollak, DE Antwan Applewhite and DT Frank Kearse.

With Adams out, Captain Munnerlyn will return punts for the Panthers.

Linebacker Jon Beason, who was questionable, is active.

Do you see us getting out to a fast start again as we have in the three previous games? How do you think Turner will look against this Carolina run defense?

What are the inactives and do you think Jonathan Stewart or the Carolina running game finally gets back to what other teams haven’t tried against the Falcons defense?

JSS – The official inactives don’t come out until 11:30. Will post them here. They have to try to run the ball. They seem to prefer DeAngelo Williams over Stewart.

And before the morons chime in, that is inactives for Carolina?

Eric – Yes, I see another fast start. Turner usually has good games against Carolina. But I think the game plan will call for the torching of the Panthers weak secondary. Poor Josh Norman has a big X on his jersey.

What about Nakamura? Ryan’s got to be salivating after seeing his performance against the Giants!

Eric: From the by the numbers blog — 727 – Falcons running back Michael Turner has rushed for 727 yards (103.9 per game) and 11 TDs in past 7 meetings with the Panthers.

What about Nolan’s plan to shut down Cam? Do you see a continuation of his strategy versus Manning to try and confuse the young QB? Might be risky running just 2 LB’s with his ability to run the ball…

Eric — He will shadow CAM with a linebacker on the zone read. They don’t need to confuse Cam.It’s a one-read, zone offense.

So Beason and Stewart are a go, or are they limited? Did Choate(?) give you any idea?

Steve Smith has been a Falcon killer when Carolina runs well. Expect to see a bunch of birds in the box to stop the run. We will know just how good this Falcon secondary is around four this afternoon.

I hate to look ahead and can’t help but feel I’m jinxing the team but I don’t see any reason why we shouldn’t be 6-0 going into the bye. We are a better team than Carolina, Oakland, and Washington. We just have to avoid having the typical “Falcon” moment and today is a perfect opportunity to prove that this is not the same old team that lets its guard down during games it should win. Mike Smith has been pretty good about beating the teams we should beat so hopefully 6-0 will happen…

Lets get to 4 and 0 before we talk 6 and 0. If its one thing we should learn is to never look over weaker teams the saints have taught us many times that at any given time a weak team can come in and upset you. Lets take this one game at a time, dont look over the panthers because they only have one win. Lets go falcons
