Great win, now its time to turn our attention to the Chargers, one of the other five 2-0 teams in the NFL. We have to go all the way to the other side of the country & we need all of our focus because the true sign of a great team is being able to bounce back from an emotion filled victory & follow it up with another quality win! So Sunday is a test that I’m really interested to see if we’re up to. Because talent wise we should beat the Chargers & it’s a shame that Turner had to go & act stupid right before returning to S.D. all the media will be on him because of this dump decision! That said let’s not get to high or to low off of last nights victory! We should have blown Denver out!!! We Julio & T.G. dropped way to many balls for Matt last night who I’ve held accountable throughout his Falcons tenure, but who honestly so far is looking like a real MVP candidate. If we don’t have all the drops last night, this game is put away in the first half! That’s our next growing edge as a team, learning how to not allow teams to hang around, when you have your foot on a teams neck, you’ve gotta finish them while they’re down, not allow them to hang around, get up, & make it a fight again. That said, while Ryan’s playing like an MVP for the first time in his career, just as much credit had to go to the pass protection he’s getting from our O-Line & while Nolan’s getting all the credit in the world for what he’s done with the D, which he deserves, I also want to give a shot out to Pat Hill & the job he’s done with the O-Line!!! I was wrong Baker is doing his thing! Congrats Sam, as much as we ride u when we’re down, we need to give you your credit when you perform!!!! I am a little worried about our O-Line’s inability to create running lanes, but overall great job Falcons, still some things to clean up but way to show up on the national stage & against a quality team! & Even though traditionally Smith has had us ready to go for west coast games, they have never come directly after a win of this magnitude! I hope we’re ready to play on Sunday! We’d be just fine without Turner, I’m more worried about our mental state, but it’s our focus for the game Sunday. A game across the country, on a short week of preparation, & after having to deal with Turners stupidity from the a.m. Hopefully the offense takes yesterday’s lackluster performance as motivation for Sunday!

Making Manning throw the ball deep over the middle early was key to testing his ability to deliver the long to intermediate passes.

@ Nique……………I agree with your comment. …………………All Atlanta had to do was take the ball down the field one more time and get close enough for a field goal in the game late to seal the deal and give the Falcons an extra 3 points margin and made sure Manning never had a chance…………………………………………..

Mike Nolan…thank you for a job well done. After years of BVG’s vanilla schemes and unimaginative play calling, watching our Defense play the way they did last night makes you proud to be a falcons fan!
