Go McCown! If you learn how to stiff arm, show a little pocket mobility, and improve your accuracy, we may have a qb controversy in the works. Ryan is such a pansy, always sliding15 yards before the nearest defender and Mike Smith doesn’t even trust him enough to run a qb sneak on 4th & 1!

Is McCown the #2 backup, which would make him the #3 quarterback, or is he the #1 backup, which would make DD nothing more than training camp fodder?

Can’t believe what I am about to type! I agree with STB4 and I never agree with him on anything about the Falcons. What does this staff see in McCown that others teams don’t? Nine years of zero accomplishment in this league. Should have kept the bandit as their backup (Redman). Maybe another statue will be placed in front of their stadium if Matt can’t play sometime this season.

Hey, Dirk does 1.8 mean anything to you? That’s McCown passer rating when you benched him in Jacksonville! Did he play for you again that year? Oh yeah that rating was the lowest ever for a starting QB in Jax history.

Oh boy. We got the worst O coordinator from the league at #28, a #2 back-up with a 1.8 rating or so on the worst O coordinator’s team who never took a snap with us, suspect OL, still no pass rush, suspect LBs, Owens named #4 CB without playing any yet (he’s got to be dating TD’s daughter or something’s going on there), Bosher who kicks off line drives to the 10 yrd line and AB thinks was one of our best players for us last year, and a slow running back with 4.6 speed returning kick-offs that can’t break away for any 100 yd returns this year because he has no speed to do it. I’m getting nervous.

I guess all some people’s lives consists of is going to blogs not even about their own team..and I mean all of them we have on our much better looking site. (I’ve seen the garbage one for N.O.. Pathetic at best.) Someone definitely doesnt have a life. Birdland, please stop even paying attention to parasites. They only can exist if given a host…..
ANYWAY, McClown is simply our backup while Davis learns a bit more of the offense. This guy’s only here b/c he knows the offense. He wont be the #2 for too long. If he is…then its a mere case of classic and tragic “good ol boy” syndrome. Straight up.

If you don’t have a fantasy defense worth starting yet, check out this interesting blog… pretty compelling stuff that the rest of the owners in your league probably have no clue about:

Not feeling any comfort from anything comming out of Jacksonville other than our Naval ships. The new OC is ? as well as his judgement to bring a QB in with such a low Rating terribly low. Even if he knows the offensive scheme, he is still that same QB with the terribly low rating (1.8)……..Regardless still support the HOMETEAM..GO FALCONS!!!!!

Just because he’s listed #2, doesn’t mean he’ll stay there. If either back up to Ryan plays in anything other than mop up duty…season’s over and we’ll have a high draft pick to spend on a left tackle.
