Pro ball already? They trying to turn the NFL into the NBA? A 7 month season? How can the players bodies even begin to hold up to this?

I haven’t watched your game yet, but I’ve read the reports, the big outcome seems to be Dent’s head injury…on a related topic, Lofton had another outstanding game.

Saints’ first team defense seems to be coming together, the first team looked good, the back ups not so much….seems to be the same for you guys. First team offense mailed it in last night.

I hear that y’all ran a screen with Julio that led to a score? LOL! Haven’t seen that yet either, but sounds more like a sweep than a screen, close enough I guess, but I’ll see.

Referees still stunk up the place, so nothing’s changed there, and that has nothing to do with them being replacements.

Manhandled ? Ha ! D-led………..was you awake when the game started…looked like the Falcons were ” man-handlling” that Ravens ball team starters, 3 three and outs for Flacco in a row and Ryan ripped their defense apart. Randy Moss…..whoops…………Julio Jones burned the Ravens big-time and Quizz and Turner played well also, White made his catches, and one catch ruled out of bounds for a rookie, can’t think of his name and the one pick down in scoring range was all the Ravens could muster on the Falcon’s offense. You know if not for the pick, the Falcons would most likely have led 21-0 before the starters were being pulled from the game !

Impressive start ? Oh yeah ! As for Redman and JPW, give us a break, Smitty and let Dominique Davis have a decent opportunity to see what he has to offer. Sticking him in their last wasn’t an opportunity to evaluate him properly and putting Dent in their to cover on the kick was plain stupid ! So lucky he wasn’t hurt far more seriously.

I see the trolls have nothing to throw out here today cept ” we was smart enough to sit our qb………..blah blahh blahhhhhh “, typical idiotic nonsense. Here is a stat for you trolls to ponder over though, the Falcons offense put up more total yards in one quarter than majority of other teams who played games had done by their first halves. I think the Chargers had just a few more yards by halftime in their game than than the Falcons did after the first quarter.

SeenthisB4………….2 fieldgoals ? yeah right, you guys are going to win it all this year !

Teams better put two on Julio Jones or they wont be able to cover the guy…………got to come up with a nickname for him.

Alright enough………….hirmy, ………….Lets just wait and see what happens this year in our rivalry games and see who is the best there ever was and the best there ever will be.wasn’t Breeze in there for at least a series last night ? I will give it a peek but just remember he is your offense and without him you haven’t got a fart in hades of putting a game away so if I was you I would be seriously worried. That Patriots defense must have stifled your offensive line to only put up 2 fieldgoals and with this Nolan led Falcons defense looking pretty good last night with the starters I think they will play on another level this year against them and I hardly see any signs of anything looking like a blowout game like last year.

Now I may be wrong but since it is early preseason and hopefully we have no serious injuries to any of the starting crew then they all will only get even better and better as Season rolls along. You know this don’t you ? The Falcons could lose to them twice and still win the NFC South title so don’t sit there thinking any different. I am not going to play football politics on him and him with you today so enjoy the day and enjoy your 6 points !

We all wanted to see the first team offense and first team defense make moves last night. We saw that! I think the only negative to take away from the first team offense is the red zone interception. The D looked fast and good and I was happy with what I saw. We have to get these backups ready to play. It looks like we have alot of young guys in the backup rolls and they did not perform last night. Got to have role players play good in roles. I am disappointed in the backup QB’s as they looked down right awful………however, I think we got something going on here! Our D really bowed up last night (first team D that is) and made Flacco look quite bad. I like that. Julio is just a BEAST! Roddy looked good also and I was quite impressed with Kerry Meir starting, blocking and running some good routes. Rise Up fans we are going to be pretty dog gone good this year!

A look at the Friday morning headlines from around the division:

ATLANTA FALCONS

D. Orlando Ledbetter points out that the Falcons allowed the Ravens to rally with 24 unanswered points. That’s absolutely true, but it’s not as bad as it sounds. The first-team offense looked great and the first-team defense looked very good. The Falcons didn’t run into trouble until after they had pulled their starters.

Sorry there Hiramsaint but your boys are going to get smashed this year by almost everybody. It’s puzzling because the Saints go and get Spags why???? Did they really want the St Louis Rams D? No matter. NE is a short pass team with no vertical threat to speak of. Atlanta’s new offense will expose and destroy the Saints secondary. Lord help them if they try to go nickel. And Brees had virtually no left side help last night, Carl Nicks will be sorely missed. The Falcons are in trouble at LB but the Saints will have a tough time being competitive against good teams this year. I hope they get Peyton and Vilma back before they play us so there will be no excuses for the molly whoppin they are about to receive.
