Former Falcons running back Art Malone, who played seven seasons in the NFL, died Friday at the age of 64, according to the Tucson Citizen.
Here’s another obit on Malone’s passing.
Malone was drafted by the Falcons in the second-round (39th overall pick) of the 1970 NFL draft. He played five seasons with the Falcons and two with the Philadelphia Eagles.
He finished his career with 2,457 rushing yards and 19 touchdowns. He also caught 161 passes for 1,465 yards and six touchdowns.
A memorial service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at Resthaven Park Mortuary and Cemetery, 4310 East Southern Ave., Phoenix.
