FLOWERY BRANCH – The Falcons went through a brisk walk-through practice in just under an hour Tuesday morning.

With cloudy skies and a nice breeze, the players received a break from the heat.

The afternoon practice is open to the public. Gates open at 2:30 p.m., with the practice starting at 3:30 p.m.

Fans might want to check the practice hotline before driving out because of the threat of rain. Here’s the practice Hotline number: 770-965-2752.

Cornerback Asante Samuel will talk with the media after the afternoon practice session.

We’ll see how things are going for the chatty cornerback.

A look ahead:

Wednesday – The players have their first day off.

Thursday – Walkthrough: 10:40 – 11:25 a.m. (closed to the public). Practice: 3:30 – 6:05 p.m. Roddy White and Julio Jones are scheduled to talk to the media.

Friday – Friday Nights Lights event at Peachtree Ridge High School, 7:30 p.m. Gates open at 6 p.m. The Falcons will take the field at 6:45 p.m. (Smartphone Address: 1555 Old Peachtree Road; Suwanee, Ga. 30024)

Even if JPW is the “waterboy” his salary is probably one you can only dream of securing. Not to mention the pension with 5 yrs in the League. This is his 4th yr. Roll Tide and Julio will be the MAN

What are we concerned about JPW’s salary for? Is anybody in here getting any of it? He is garbage I don’t care how much money he has in the bank. Julio is a beast and I think Jerrell Harris will make the 53…but Wilson is garbage. Sorry Bama fans.

@Chub Yes he is. I hope Davis supplants him as the No. 3 guy.

Looking forward to even the preseason. We’ll see some new looks on both sides of the ball so I’ll really be watching from a coaching standpoint to see how the schematically we’ve evolved….yes evolved.LOL
