Atlanta Falcons: Koetter says Ryan a Top 10 quarterback

FLOWERY BRANCH—Falcons offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter doesn’t know what the players around the league were thinking when they left Atlanta quarterback Matt Ryan off the NFL Network’s top 100 list.
“How he’s won as a starter in the league, we think he’s a top 10 quarterback,” Koetter said. “His play backs that up.”
ESPN’s Ron Jaworski ranked Ryan as the 11th quarterback in the league.
Koetter, who has replaced the departed Mike Mularkey, clearly has been pleased with Ryan and the rest of the offensive unit.
“We have an excellent group of players on the offense,” Koetter said. “Players, offensive staff and coach [Mike] Smith are fun guys to work with. We have a lot of talent and a lot of guys that can make explosive plays. I like how these guys are working.”
Koetter spent the last five seasons as the offensive coordinator in Jacksonville.

I like Ryan, and I do think he will win a few playoff games. As many has stated before me, the guy has got to be accurate on his deep balls in order to be a top 10. Blame the offensive line, blame Obama, blame Mitt…I don’t care who you blame. If the guy doesn’t take his additional ten pounds of muscle he added and learn to be accurate on passes over twenty yards, he will not amount to much in the long term…

I have been a Falcon fan since the 70’s …yes I’m still a fan …through thick-n-thin…all I’m hearing is blah blah blah!!!!…Ryan is going to Hall Of Fame … Not one time did I read about Dan Marino…isn’t he an elite QB??…he never won a ring …Payton. is how old??…and he only has one ring and it wasn’t that long ago…so all I’m hearing. is blah blah blah !!! go. Dirty Birds !!!…I have total faith in u Ryan
