FLOWERY BRANCH — It didn’t take long for defensive end John Abraham to make his presence felt in practice.

Abraham, who skipped the voluntary organized team activities, got into a scuffle with rookie tight end

“What the [expletive] is wrong with you,” Abraham said after he pulled off Nissley’s helmet, and the skirmish was broken up.

“I think that John looked very good,” Falcons coach Mike Smith said. “He was here early in the offseason program and it looks like he stayed in shape and was moving very well.”

He needs to pick on someone his own size.

Let’s hope he shows the same intensity
against an O-lineman once the regular
season begins.

I think Big John is going to have a monster year. I’m talking 15 sacks or more.

It’s suppose to be a “no-contact” mini camp session! I’m reporting the falcan’ts to the league office for violating CBA rules.

This has to be the biggest non-story of the day. Fight between linemen at football camp? SHOCKING!

Good for Abe, put that rookie in his place. Now, Ray Ewards needs to stop lollygagging behind that camera and focus on having a MUCH better season than last year. What a waste of DE space.

We dont have to worry about Big John this season, he will handle his business… I predict a double digit sack season!

The guy I worry about is pictured holding a camera… Ray Edwards. We need production out of the other DE position. Heck I’ll take production from another DL position.

That Ain't Right...

SeenThisB4 – Is this what we’ll ahve to put up with from Saints fans this year? Your team was punished and will likely have a down year, so you ahve to drag everyone down with you?

Truth @ 10:01 – agreed that Edwards needs to focus on a better season, but I’m not going to begrudge someone a little goofing off. No one can be super-intense all season. You’ll either have a stroke or blow out a blood vessel in your eye or something.

Sounds like someone was going through the motions and someone was trying to make a good impression. Don’t suppress the effort; correct the error if there was one. You play like you practice.

Looks like O’leary has inspired some underdogs to think they have a chance. UCF has put out several NFL startes in the past few years. Good for the kid, someone was actually putting forth effort, go figure.

Every camp, there’s some rookie looking to make a name for themselves that go over the line at practice. You really can’t blame him, since most of the rookies in camp get cut anyway. But, I wouldn’t put an “eager to make a name for himself” rookie up against a franchise guy and get him hurt by taking a low block with no pads.

I would have put him in his place also!

I heard the exact opposite from a player that was there. I hear Abraham had been running his mouth and had his butt handed to him by the rookie, then it was broken up. I’m not a huge fan of John Abrahama, because I feel he has let the Falcons down When they needed him the most, a between to make a play. Maybe I’m crazy, but that’s what I believe my eyes have seen.

so let me see: y’all are excited over some little incident in a mini-camp PRACTICE? ? ?

Question: what loser fan gets his entire self worth on how his NFL team does each year? This same loser also spanks his monkey while trolling rivals fan sites and leaving mean spirited messages. judging by his shallow analysis has never even played football b4.

So you guys are defending a guy that won’t even make the team, but your star “only” pass rusher could get a freak season ending knee injury….interesting.

Heard good things about Nissley. Stats are beast size and apparently he has a smart head. I bet Smith is gonna keep this rookie. Abraham is still my man tho – good work. He’s still got it.

Prima donna.
The Rookie TE has every right to level any old “entitled” egotistical hasbeen.
Abraham thinks all he has to do is show up and every new player should bow to him.
How bout “Nailing” him instead.

Abe need to take a chill pill. They about 60 players in camp who don’t have a set in stone starting line up position and trying to make the team. If he don’t want to be blocked, maybe he can be our overpaid watering boy that sit on the bench for play then he take snap for. I hope that rookie slap the taste out of Abe self-entitled mouth when it time to go full contact.

Falcon James- U tellem bubba. The Abe needs to chill. That Nissley boy is just what we like. That Abraham is the best pass rusher we got but my ole hunting dog thinks that Nissley is more valuable to the team than our best pass rusher. Heck if this boy Nissley went at his knees in a non contact drill then shoot man I blame Abraham cause heck man that boy Nissley is just what we like. Heck fire we need a team of Nissleys. We might not win a dern game but shoot man that Nissley feller is just what we like. That Abraham ain’t got no right getting mad at this boy for going at his knees and maybe hurting him and making him miss games.

first day of mini camp and edwards is playing with a camera instead of learning how to rush a passer ! he must be practicing in case the Saints set another record against the failclowns like they did last year on national t.v.
