FLOWERY BRANCH — There hasn’t been much roster action since the last updated depth chart.

The only move was the release of long snapper Corey Adams last week. His spot was filled with Monday’s signing of kicker Erik Folk, the younger brother of New York Jets kicker Nick Folk. (The elder Folk announced it on twitter. Team is waiting to cross all of the T’s and dot some I’s on the contract.)

He’s a member of the Kicking Folk Family. (They also have a brother Greg, who plays soccer for UCLA.)

We’ll keep an eye on things during minicamp and try to ascertain what the depth chart will look like heading into training camp.

Interesting to see Lofa sitting in front of Dent. I wonder if it’s just a 1a/1b kinda thing or is there something more to it?

Lofa Tatupu stands to make an additional 2 million this year if he can secure the 1st string MLB spot. The competition has not even started yet so I would not read much into where some guys are placed on the depth chart right now. Dent and Tatupu will compete in camp and the best man will win. Tatupu has 2 million reasons to give it his very best effort. Mike Johnson has been a big disappointment so far. He may not be with us much longer. They will only keep 9 O-linemen per Smitty so guys that have been here are going to get cut.

some sense — Usually at staff meetings. MC and I go back aways together. We get together more often. We’ll probably catch some of the NBA Finals together. DOB will likely be a work. BTW, thanks for yoru kind words.

Kind of hard to justify still having Sam Baker as the starting LT for the falcan’t, even if he was running with the starters during the OTAs, that’s just silly. Sam Baker? The Starter? If it’s an unofficial depth chart, why not try to demonstrate what the starting line up WILL be come September? Do you really believe that Sam Baker will be the starter then? LOL! Hopefully so, but do you really believe that?

IceColdATLien — I usuallly go with the veteran, but maybe it should be a 1a/1b thing. We’ll think that over and ask some more questions.

Dont sell Johnson short, he has had to fight thru injuries, this season he will be healthy and will only make the competition stronger.

SeenThisB4-Baker—- has a better chance to start than “Vilma”, sorry that was a low blow and meant to be that way, Vilma is a cry baby because he got caught with his hand in the cookie jar and now wants to blame Roger !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Baker makers no excuses, hes been injured.

@AlanFalcon: I won’t argue Vilma’s productivity, he’s been hampered by bad knees for a while now, and he’s old. What’s Baker’s excuse again? Vilma’s probably looking at the curtain dropping on his career with a year long suspension, so he’s got nothing to lose by pulling out all the stops.

Looking forward to see how this depth chart will play out as training camp aproach the start of the season. I really like the fact that there are a number of offensive lineman vying for their prospective position. I trully believe that this offense will produce more than that lack luster job Mularkey displayed. Interested in the complete linebacker corp.

Kinda scratching my head on the Pearcy & Rodgers combo as potential starters returning kicks, but I guess with the new kickoff point it won’t matter much anyhow, I really hope these Rodgers boys provide some nice highlights this season!!!! Maybe being around family will bring out solid confidence & friendly competition out of those guys, knowing the other brother is right there to greet em after a great play.

The rookies I’m following are Marty Market, Peter Konz, Charles Mitchell, travarian Robinson, Bradie Ewing, marquise Branson (1) Aron White and many second year players. Going to be interesting. Running back position needs more speed
