Falcons wide receiver Roddy White got into what is becoming a weekly Twitter fight.

There was the scrap with fans during the labor situation, the fans from New Orleans after he ripped their city, his freestyle tweets on commissioner Roger Goodell and let’s not forget about him expressing remorse for his anti-gay tweets.

This time, White appears to be fighting with himself over the worthiness of former players’ right to bash the game.

“It’s crazy how football players are killing our game you signed up to play a violent game and made a lot of money now u talk bad about #how”

White later added: “Yes older players didn’t make what we made but I remember when gas was 89 cents so the cost of living was different. I don’t have nothing against old players they made football what it is today and I love those guys and I don’t have a problem with them suing the nfl I don’t have to worry about it the nfl has enough money to pay them.”

I’m not sure what White really means. I think he respects the players who built the game, but then counters with a notion that the lawsuits are killing the game.  I certainly concur with this, gas prices are too damn high!!!

What’s your interpretation?

Roddy is almost saying what so many of the rest of us think:

NAMELY: “You can’t HAVE your cake and EAT IT TOO!”
I’ve been a fan for years and remember as a kid when the Falcons moved to Atlanta…WOW pro football! I can’t remember ever hearing of a player who turned down the pro contract offer to take a “menial labor” job! It’s always been a “ratio” of “grand income” for pro sports players in relation to what the rest of us “common laborers” make and that’s fine…it’s just that most ALL careers have some “risk”…just ask the coal miners about “black lung” or “hazardous waste handlers” about poisoning…or my job that calls for me to drive through metro Atlanta traffic at over 30,000 miles/year…when I die in a car wreck that is not my fault, can my wife and family please find somebody to blame and sue?…gimme a break…the risk was clearly there thru all the years these guys played…IDEA: make them put a label on the side of the helment of the NFL: “CAUTION: The Surgeon General has determined that playing

Torodal is no big deal. I have no clue why they would take it the evening before a game, it only lasts 4-6 hours. Then what is added is more confusing…………..”to get back on the field as soon as possible” ………..you go from the evening before to getting back on the field….??

White is a tool. If he played for another team there wouldn’t even be a debate. He hasn’t done anything violent or destructive that I know of though so it’s no big deal.

And you want to hear this moron on Hard Knocks giving Atlanta a bad name? “It is better to be thought a fool than to open one’s mouth and remove all doubt”. Too late for Roddy.

“Well, how old is White? Gas went up over a dollar back in 1989 when Iraq marched into Kuwait and never returned below it again. That was what, 23 years ago? Was he pricing gasoline as a toddler? So, I doubt that he remembers what the price of a gallon of gas was….which makes him a liar. But, then again, there’s a lot of lying going on around the NFL these days.”

You must be on something man. I was born in ‘85, and I remember when gas was 80 something cents when I was 12 or 13. Actually the lowest number I remember is 79 cents. I dont know what your going on about with all this “lots of lying” crap, and “gas was over a dollar in ‘89 and never dropped back down” crap, but you need to get your facts straight.

Hey Falcan’t fools! How many Super Bowls, BCS Championships or Final Fours has your boring, culturally void town hosted? I’ve cousins that live near atl and they always love to visit our historical cultural mecca that is New Orleans and have never said anything positive about “that cesspool to the east,”which is atl. And what exactly is there to do in your pig trough town besides bemoan every teams town that defeats you? Are you still feeling the effects of Gen. Sherman’s torches, because true New Orleaneans never use Katrina as an excuse. That, like my Civil War reference is old. So if you’re capable, live in the present please. Btw, thanks for your best defensive player in 2011, MLB C. Lofton. You can cheer for him when he wins his 1st Lombardi and SB ring in February 2013 in the GREATEST CITY ON THE PLANET,NEW ORLEANS!
TRUE DAT. Btw, R. White is a very good player. Perhaps he might want to consider playing for a winner too one day. If he could temper his diva attitude he’d be Saints material, just like J. Shockey was (sarcasm intended).
