Video: Thomas Dimitroff discusses the draft

Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff talks to the media after the draft ends on Saturday. The first question is hilarious. It was a long three days in the media war room!!!

I am a BIG Dimitroff fan… but he is Mr. Politically Correct Manager. At least he is consistent.

Thanks for working on our lines in this draft TD while not freakking out about not having a 1st rounder. JJ will be worth it. Especially as Roddy gets older

except for the Davis kid. I’ve never heard of a single one of these player’s. Not one. This may go down as the worst and that is saying a ton, draft in Falcon football history. The only player’s that has a chance of making it in the big leagues are the FB, the OL and that DE and they will only make the team by default.

Robertson:
Strengths
Robertson is very good once he gets off the ball to immobilize offensive lineman and keep linebackers free. He is a leverage player who, though stiff, understands what it takes to get under a lineman and gain an advantage early. He is extremely strong and has surprisingly developed hand technique. His strength is obvious when he sheds linemen.
Weaknesses
Robertson is solely a hold-up lineman who does little else. He has a tough time getting in the backfield and reaching the ball carrier. He is slow off the snap and he doesn’t create plays for himself. He is the type of player who could make a lot of money playing in the right scheme, but his statistical productivity likely will be extremely low at the next level.

OPEN YOUR EYES is one of the Saints jerks that used to pose on Falcons blogs under many various pseudonyms. Only the jerk that spent his LIFE trying to annoy Falcon fans could manufacture this NEW persona. WOW, gee, dude, get a life.

What could motivate someone into this sick mind-masturbation?

OPEN YOUR EYES = SeenThisB4

more reaches to the college football infirmary to get good players who just can’t stay healthy. I won’t take the time and space to name them, you know who they are. I like TD, Smitty and the job they have done but if they really want to take that next step they gonna have to draft HEALTHY players who can stay on the feild. Esp their top three picks of a draft. Now the morgage is falling due! TD has gotten the team so cap tight he can’t wiggle and it looks to get worse.

This draft was wonky. You wait this long to see this type of garbage and it just makes you wonder why you even care what happens. 4 back to back winning seasons and do nothing in the playoffs and this is why. Beat crappy teams and get whupped by good teams.

This type of draft is just what shows it. We took a center with a beat-up ankle and a project OT. Then a FB!? Yeah right. UDFA has fullbacks too. I thought that part of the game was phasing out?

TD, I’m glad you hired Polian so at least we know who will be taking your place when none of your picks pan out.
