Like I said…I’ll believe It If I see It and I didn’t see It. The defense scored two points and the offense couldn’t move the ball a half yard on 4th down…inexcusible…matter of fact they had two plays to move the ball a yard and didn’t get It done…pathetic and Inexcusible…

Well Matt,,, you actually did turn it over twice,,, just like AZ and GB,,,only this time it was 2 failed QB sneaks on 4th down. We all bought in that you were Matty Ice and were cool under pressure, but it is now painfully obvious that you are a nice guy who has a lot of money,,, but do not have what it takes and are anything but cool under pressure at the NFL level.

A diehard Falcon fan, I’m disappointed but still love my team. I hope we address some of our issues during the off season, D line and O line, and I hope we can find a running back from somewhere. Maybe an undrafted free agent like a Arian Foster.

no reason to call him matty ice. never was. he’s a middle of the pack quarterback who can’t lead his team.

get ready for next season, coming in second in the division again or maybe not if the panthers make big moves in the off season.

4th and 1, 4th and inches. how many teams consistently fail to convert that? with a 250 pound back?

3 of the top targets in the NFL and can’t get a first down

roddy white punching people in the helmet down big in the 4th quarter

defense getting run over all day long

lol

I have been a Falcons fan all my life, I have to say… I am really getting tired of them losing. I mean really no “offense” touchdowns? You have weapons Ryan.. look for numbers 11, 84, & 88

Hell Stafford only has Johnson… you have 3!!!
I need a new team, this is too disappointing

We needed a offensive lineman in last years draft that could play OG. We went discount the last two years. Well it does not work. Harley got absolutely abused. That experiment will not pan out. And I have no more confidence in mike Johnson. Meanwhile Todd McClures days seem past. That was embarrassing. Not sure Blakock was ever pstarter material. That leaves us with no OL. And this was apparent all season. Use that second round and third round pick on a guard and a center. Don’t have the picks to address TE this year, because will also have to find a safety to replace Decoud and Sanders. Decoud run support yesterday was pitiful, he did not want to hit and was just hoping Bradshaw would go down. Pitiful. Dimitrioff is at the core of this problem. More than 50 percent of FAs have just been a waste of payroll. Glad Snead and Mularkey are gonna get hired away, although I kinda doubt some one will hire them after yesterday.

We need a leader @ QB

Ryan never takes personal accountability for anything. ALWAYS, the same old “we” junk…How about…

“I did not get it done today…I did not execute..I stunk…I was too fearful in the pocket to stand in there and throw it downfield. I really don’t like getting hit…I slide every chance I get…I hate QB sneaks…I’d rather be golfing, quite frankly.”

Uhhh, we had some opportunities, we didn’t get it done, they have a great team, they played really well, we didn’t get it done, they have a great team, we had some opportunities, we expected them to play great, they’re a great team. DAMN, when does the excuse making, same ole cliches stop! There needs to be some big a$$ changes made on both sides of the ball, including players and coaches before our befuddled team ever produces a consistant winner.

I’m as big of a booster for Matty Ice as anyone, but a) he needs “sneak” training, and b) I do have to agree with the person above who said that he’s gotta drop the “we” and say “I f’ed up.” Not that he’s the only one who did yesterday (honestly, pretty much everyone except the kickers f’ed up yesterday…..seriously, Bryant never got a chance and Bosher was the best player on the team!). But he needs to show the fire of “man, I can’t believe I didn’t overcome what was going on around me.”

It reminds me a little of Peyton Manning (no, I’m not comparing the QBs re: skillset, don’t flame me :-p) during his playoff career (started 0-3, was 3-6 before he went on his SB run thanks largely to defense). I remember after one of his playoff losses, he had a press conference where he basically just threw his O-line under a bus and didn’t take a shred of accountability. I remember thinking “c’mon man! Take at least a LITTLE of the blame!” He dropped that attitude later on and was a better playoff performer because of it,.

I also think we need new coaching on offense: new coordinator, new QB coach (picked up a loser from the Bungles…that’s all you need to know right there), MAYBE keep the O-line and RB coaches (MAYBE) and can the receivers coach.

Also have to agree with the above poster: we need to upgrade the backup QB also.

Personally, I thought our defense did a great job yesterday — they couldn’t help but get tired because they were in there most of the game. The offense is pretty darn disappointing to me. I hope our defense coordinator gets another job. I have always been a fan of Matt Ryan, but I don’t think that Matt Ryan is progressing as much as he should be since he’s been in the majors now for 4 years. It’s a shame we didn’t draft Matthew Stafford from UGA. I hope Gonzalez stays for another year. there is always next year.

Matt Ryan’s response to the media is what he’s trained to do. Surely, don’t expect him to criticize his O-line coach for the piss poor play calling. Ryan’s a company man. You knew that, didn’t you?

Let’s just hope that Malarkey gts a job some place else, because I don’t think ths team has the guts to fire him eventhough they really know he’s the biggest problem.

Ima start off by saying when we drafted Matt Ryan I really thought it was a good pick. I admired his willingness to really learn the playbook and watching Payton Manning;learning frm him; BUT YESTERDAY he looked like a deer in headlights. I didnt see any fight in him. If I was a VET on the team, I would have went to Matt and laid into him to bring some animal out of him, and would have worried about the concequences later.

Matty Ice is now Matty Iced. BVG has no clue. Dunte does not cover at all. He just looks at someone and lets them run free for a touchdown. OL is a mess. DL is a mess. MM would look better if we had a QB who didn’t pee in his pants everytime he drops back to pass. Gonzalez and Jones were wide open running free and Ryan runs out of pocket looking for someone to dump it to. Solution is simple –
GET MATT FLYNN, GET STEVE SPANGNOLO, GET A DECENT DE, GET A DECENT RG. Done!
I am now a Packers fan. They have a QB that makes deep passes with an injured offensive line and they aren’t the Saints. Saints are thugs.

I agree that Ryan is scared, won’t take a hit, has a noodle arm, and needs to be replaced. I think Redman is better than Ryan. He needs more reps to show it but he has courage and throws a nice long ball. He is not afraid to give he receivers a chance to make a play.He is not the QB that we are searching for but better than Ryan. Playing QB starts with guts. Ryan does not have it and you can’t teach it.Management is trying to justify their $77 million mistake.

I hate how this guy refuses to hold himself accountable….garbage QB with no toughness. YOu all can talk about how much he wins in the reg season. Man, that doesnt mean anything. Top ten QBs WIN in the playoffs and put th burden on themselves. He isnt a leader and thats why he deflects from “I” to “we”. He’s a puny, noodle armed QB with no real fortitude. He needs to live in the weight room this offseason. How is it that a mighty mouse like Brees can get over the line but Ryan cant? TOUGHNESS….

The Falcons have come so far, and yet, have a ways to go.
One coordinator down, one to go.
All the other NFL quarterbacks are passing out of clean pockets using schemes that allow for safety valves if it breaks down. Successful coordinators adjust if their schemes aren’t working.
The best athletes can’t compete with dysfunctional coaches.
Smitty, I love what you’ve done for Atlanta and I’m glad we’re not Philly, or NYJ, but you’re assistant coaches leave a lot to be desired.
Let’s see what Thomas can do in free agency to pick up O & D linemen since he doesn’t have any picks until at least 2021.

falcons needs game changers(,RB) if turner was in for that play melted ice(Ryan) would have had to take the ball 6 yards behind the line to give it to Turner that would have made it 4th down
6yards &2” the hole would have been closed anyway they could have signed Brandon Marshall he caught over 100 passes in Denver we would stii have draft picks now no defensive tackle since u let Coleman go he had to be double teamed every play
