UPDATE:  As expected, left cornerback Brent Grimes returned to practice on Tuesday. Here’s  the story on his return. CLICK HERE!

FLOWERY BRANCH — The Falcons’ secondary could be at full strength for their matchup with Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints’ vaunted passing attack.

Starting right cornerback Brent Grimes, who has missed three games after having knee surgery, is set to return to practice on Tuesday. Also, cornerback Kelvin Hayden, the team’s top nickel back who was out with a dislocated toe, could return to practice by Thursday.

“We are hoping tomorrow to have Brent Grimes back out on the field practicing,” Falcons coach Mike Smith said on Monday. “That will be a plus. I do not know about Kelvin Hayden for tomorrow, but maybe it will happen on Thursday.”

Ray has improved our run defense whatever you want to say about him. The Aints only have about a year or two max on their run and then the universe will right itself. Optimus Grimes back on the field is a plus. We are peaking at the right time. Green Bay went on a tear this time last year. The lockout did us a terrible disservice with a rookie WR and a new DE. Think we are on one for the reast of the season. Watch for Quizz in the NO game. Keep hinking the Falcons wont be the team to be reckoned with in the next few years if you want to. I like that we get no media coverage. ESPN hates us and nobody believes in us. The Underdog. Stay tuned.

Even though Dunta is our acchilles heal, the falcon have shown us more than they show all season this past 2 weeks. If the falcon play half as good Monday as they play last week, they will slaughter the saint and pee on they logo at the end of the game. Other than Dunta is still the most overpaid over rated CB in the league, it is hard to find any fault in how the falcon are playing. Ryan arm look as strong as it ever has, Abe look like he got some gitty up in his step, Turner running like a bolling ball, Roddy keeping that big mouth shut and catching the ball, Julio playing like a 5 year pro bowler, and steady like a rock Bryant is hitting every point he kick. All we need is Dunta to play up to his caliber and we going to bring this one home.
