Peria Jerry took over for Peters at his the tackle spot next to Jonathan Babineaux. Peters returned with 8:04 left in the second quarter.
Linebacker Curtis Lofton got his right ankle re-taped in the second quarter.

Great win last night. A total team effort. That’s the way to put on an offensive and defensive clinic before a national audience. I was told that the Aints do not have a football blog. Has anybody else checked into this? I would but i really could care less! However, that would explain why they are all over our blog.

@ SeenThisB4………….a point of view…….I bet your Team doesn’t do to the Vikings what Atlanta did to the Jags and the Panthers………….that was 65 points with one score coming from a fumble recovery for 6 in just 5 quarters of football , and in the 4th Quarter last night , Atlanta could have kicked another fieldgoa and made it 68 points but showed class by not rubbing in the score.l

Another point to ponder…SeenThisB4……..Has your offense ever had a interception ( as they called it ), when one receiver grabs the touchdown from the other like Roddy did from Tony G. Now that was so cool .

The Falcons are ready for the playoffs. They have been doing better each week.’course the Saints are a good team also, but Atlanta’s better. I like our chances . One team that wont be in play-offs is the Cowboys. I am sad for them as I am from Dallas.GO FALCONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YOU FALCON FANS ARE SO STUPID, AND ITS OKAY TO BE STUPID ONCE AND A WHILE, BUT TO BE STUCK ON STUPID IS ANOTHER THING. WIN THE BIG ONE THEN BRAG TO THE SAINTS AND THERE FANS. UNTIL YOU WIN THE SB YOU CANT SAY ANYTHING THAT MATTERS TO THE SAINTS AND THERE FANS. YOU DONT HAVE ANY STREET CRED, YOUR WORDS ARE JUST WORDS ,TALK ALL TALK, WHERE IS YOUR TITLE. EVEN IF YOU BEAT US YOUR STILL A TEAM THATS HAS NOT WON THE SUPERBOWL. CONVERSATION OVER STUCK ON STUPID.

Ted: I’m in Central Standard Time, and you think 7AM is early? What a lightweight!
What a joke! The Saints would have beaten that team your team played last night by 40 points, not 27, especially with a plus 4 turnover ratio.
Here’s the proof…..

@Michael Moore: First you boast about running up 65 points(over two loser teams, which is hiilarious by the way) and then you boast about being classy for not going for a field goal. You know how hypocritical that is?
But you know what was REALLY COOL? (As you put it.) Seeing a safety stop a running back that outweighs him by 100 lbs, a foot short of the first down marker. NOW THAT was cool!

Hey TYRONE SHOELACES: I said the team you played the night before which was not the team we played a couple of months ago. Back then, the Jags had no where near the IR list they have now, they had a bonifide head coach, another owner, and a whole different perspective. Don’t even try to insinuate that that was the same team.

It was the same team……..they are called the Jacksonville Jaguars. Nice try knumb nuts. Anywho, you just made a very WEAK argument. Their defense was still ranker high at the start of our game thursday night. You’re funny seen, we all can see through the shield that your fear is hiding behind.

Trolls aside. We can beat the Saints. We have before. We lost because our Coach didn’t reallize that the defense can stop Brees (they only scored 20 points at that time.) With that said, I hope Grimes is back for the game. The reason the Saints are better isn’t Drew Brees…Brees is like Aikman was…he benefits from having guys on his line by the name of Nicks and Evans. They won’t be able to resign Nicks next year. Atlanta needs a better line. In order to beat the Saints they are going to have to get pressure on Brees or have oustanding coverage. The first isn’t going to happen most likely. Maybe a Robber blitz with the nickel back and using Spoon off the edge. Evans owned Abe last game.

@TyroneShoeLaces: Listen up lame brain: You go ahead and pretend that was the same team. Using your logic, you’ll be playiing the same Saints team, and the Saints will be playing the same incompetent falcan’ts team. And the same outcome will happen, your team is going to get its rear end kicked again.
@Tokenwhiteguy: I’m still here. Have been here for a couple of years, and will be here for a long time to come. Must irk you huh?! And sure Drew Brees needs his linemen to perform, what QB doesn’t? Hell, even your sorry QB needs his lineman to perform, so all you did was state the obvious. Let’s see, how many Super Bowls did Aikman win? Yeah, I think 3 sounds good to the Saints too.

The Bucs are just showing the Falcons how easy a time they going to have against them in the Dome in the last game of the Season….instead of worrying with that game you should be focusing on that Vikings game tomorrow…..better hope your team is focused on it too instead of the following Monday night’s game with the Falcons…..otherwise your Team may be in for a rough go of it against the Vikings.

Thing is the Saint fans want to play certain opponents in the playoffs, heck as far as I am concern bring on the best and if our Team is for real they will knock em off and that will be that….no sense in hiding behind another Team’s skirt and peeking around hoping they will take care of the matter…but with these Saint’s fans they will rag us out about it if our Team gets whipped but at least we all will know they played head-on and straight-up and wasn’t hiding from anybody.

I haven’t seen any post anywhere out of him lately and CGD either for that matter so maybe they shy away from here after seeing the Birds turn the corner and start playing some real good football…they can say the Panthers and Jags are sorry teams but both those teams had nothing to lose by pulling off anything on offense ,kicks, etc. Only thing bad on our Team the other night was that blocked punt and that can happen to anybody.
