FLOWERY BRANCH — Active the past two weeks, safety William Moore did not play against the Vikings and the Texans. Moore was inactive the two previous games with a quadriceps injury.

Moore was not listed on the injury report this week and was a full participant in practice.

“It’s a coach’s decision about when I’m ready to go back in,” Moore said Monday. I’m still getting more treatment and trying to get 100 percent.”

James Sanders has started in place of Moore, and had 10 solo tackles against the Texans.

“William is been coming back from a quadriceps and groin,” Falcons coach Mike Smith said. “We hope that we get him back and ready to go. He’s been practicing. You have to be very careful when you are dealing with two major muscle groups.”

Did Abraham practice? I’m just sayin, dude never does. Do other pass rush specialists get as much time off as him?

So first Mike Smith could not decide if Thomas Decoud or James Sanders was gonna play FS. Now coach Slingblade can’t decide if Mo City or James Sanders needs to start at SS. The starters should be Moore and Sanders. Decoud is too light in a behind and too weak in coverage to be a starter in the NFL.

He’s really missed. And yes, Decoud always seems to be around the guy who catches the ball, not preventing them from catching it.

Moore’s no coverage king either, laying the wood is OK, but getting over the top all the time is just sad… Just ask Ledbetter’s 2009 choice for the Pro Bowl (DeCoud)…

Glad to see someone seeing things the way I do. Decloud is terrible at the free safety position. He is as bad as the “D” Robinson ais at corner back. I have to ask where are the Falcons getting these guys and who is evaluating the talent? Blank please step in. If you look at the Falcons and the Aints, they Aints are years ahead of the hoping Falcons, and keep an eye on The Carolina Panthers. Something is wrong. Mr. Blank you are not getting your moneys worth.

I love the way you call us the Aint’s, we are 9-3 this year, we have a Super Bowl ring, yet we are the Aint’s… your team hasn’t done anything and rightly deserves the name Falcant’s.

Thought I was the only one who notices how poorly Decoud plays the free safety position. He is forever getting burnt. Every time he has the opportunity to make an interception, it goes right through his hands. He lacks size and quality ball skills to be a starting safety in this league. Put him on special teams, shift sanders to free safety and cross our fingers hoping that Moore stays healthy.

Mr. SaintsFan Jr. The Aints won a superbowl after the NFL decided it needed to help the city of new orleans, by giving you a SuperBowl appearance. The title game was fixed, and it was too obvious the aints couldnt win it without the help of the refs. go eff yourself on that one, if arizona doesnt get a gift freak td in OT in the wc game that year with the Pack, GreenBay would be back to back champs, and your aints would have nothing to brag about. so, one season id 45. big deal, crawl back under the rock you came out from you crawdaddy!

Ledbetter,

Jerry has been 8 games without a tackle. What is wrong with him. Hurt, or just a bust???

We need Wammo in there to give opposing receivers the FOG when they come over the middle.

Get healthy William.

Perry is a bust. Edwards is a bust. Robinson is a bust. Baker is a bust. See a pattern? Add Jamal Anderson the lineman. Bust.

@Terrance I concur. I absolutely cant stand DeCoud at the FS spot. Then he makes a tackle and wants to celebrate as if he really made an impact on the game…mind you we were LOSING! He’s probably just enjoying his time on the field because he knows he wont be back next year……or at least shouldnt. i dont know what this team is anymore.

Is there a Dimitroff pick that is not a bust?
Well, if you trade away all the picks, hey you won’t have bust! Brilliant

I type this every week – Owens, Decoud & Bosher, on an NFL roster
Really? Really?

Orlando, the fans would like to know why Brian Van Gorder continues to play that soft zone coverage which none of our cornerbacks (especially Robinson) seem to excel at. Could you also ask him why he doesn’t stick with blitzing pocket QBs up the middle. He did it once with Lofton against Houston and he got a sack. Do you feel like he is fully utilizing the defensive talent on this team? As it stands right now, his defensive scheme is not aggressive enough to get us deep into the playoffs.

Matt Ryans worst game in 25!kinda tells the story doesn’t it.this team is headed for disaster, the team will lose 3 of the last 4,and miss the playoffs. This team is not a playoff caliber team, and anybody that can’t see that, don’t want to see it!

Mr Blank, take a long look at your football team, and then take a long look at your GM,and head coach, and dralf choies, and free agents, and asst coaches, and tell the people of Atlanta and GA,what you really think of them, and please be truthfull about it.

Why don’t the Falcons do a ‘Green Bay right or left’ (the whole team goes left or right) when they only have a few inches or a foot for a first down ? They will at least gain SOME yardage!!!

Sirreal, you do realize that bleacher report is any guy that wants to write an article can. Not much substance in what they say. I will agree totally on#28. 30 yards down field on passes. Comes up and finally makes a tackle and acts like he is all world. He needs to go but who else can play?

St. Simon these are the Dimitroff picks that are not busts and the round the were drafted. Notice the jewels that have been mined in the later rounds?

2008 Matt Ryan 1st, Curtis Lofton 2nd, Harry Douglas & Kroy Biermann 5th
2009 William Moore 2nd, Lawrence Sidbury 4th, Vance Walker 7th
2010 Sean Weathrespoon 1st, Corey Peters 3rd, Jow Hawley 4th, Dominique Franks 5th

Any pick later than the 3rd round is a crap shot and we are shot 50% with our late draft picks. Compare that sucess rate across the league and you will find out that we are not too bad when it comes to the draft but you will only see that if you are unbiased.

Maybe he finally gets it there is a reason why they/trainers “HIGHLY” recommend players to use the protection padding necessary to prevent injuries like his…………….Maybe instead of a 2-4 year career — he could play 8-12 think about it Mr. Moore???????????????
