Injury Report: Lofton, Robinson added to list

FLOWERY BRANCH — Middle linebacker Curtis Lofton (groin) and cornerback Dunta Robinson (thigh) were added to the injury report on Friday.

Also, wide receiver Julio Jones, who tweaked his right hamstring this week, was limited in practice for the second straight day.  He missed two games with a injury to his left hamstring before returning against the Indianapolis Colts. He had three catches for 131 yards and two touchdowns in the 31-7 win last week over the Colts.

Safety William Moore (quadricep) and left tackle Sam Baker (back) have not practiced all week. Moore is listed as doubtful and Baker as out. James Sanders appears set to start at strong safety for Moore.

All of the other players on the injury report fully participated in practice and are listed as probable for the game: John Abraham (not injury related), Ray Edwards (knee), Tony Gonzalez (back), Todd McClure (not injury related), Brent Grimes (knee) and Corey Peters (knee).

The Saints have declared linebacker Jonathan Vilma (knee) and defensive end Turk McBride (ankle) out for the game.

Wide reciever Lance Moore (hamstring), cornerback Patrick Robinson (stomach) and running back Chris Ivory (hamstring) were all listed as questionable.  Robinson did not practice all week. Moore missed practice on Thursday and Friday. Ivory has been limited all week.

Cornerback Tracy Porter (chest/kneck), running back Mark Ingram (heel) and tight end John Gilmore (neck) were all limited and listed as probable for the game.

Thank God. That child is leaving. Now the adults can talk football.

We already have the game plan on beating these guys from the Rams game. The defense needs to step up like the last matchup here, but the O can’t afford to stall like last time. As long as they pressure Brees all day, Birds win this one by 10.

yes loser….thre will be PLENTY of jokes after Sunday. Like why the Aints cant stop the run, its gonna be Seattle all over again. Or was that St Louis? I dont rememebr. Either way, the Burner is gonna go for at least 130 on you guys. Good luck with stopping him with your best defensive player sitting on the sideline

Yeah, they`re on the list but guess what? You Aints would be crazy to think that they wont be on the field at gametime.lol I think it’s time that you Aints be reminded of who the biggest dog in the yard around this division is. See you Sunday. (By the way, The Bengals you stole your motto from are doing much better than you are right about now. Try coming up with a lil somthing more original instead of biting off another franchise and changing one word.lol)

Hey D-head ohhhh Yeah…..Dunbar plays way better than Vilma. We won without VILMA in last game. 130 ? its not a video game. Turner will be sterilized like your big dog in the backyard. So is there anything new you guys can brag about ??

ohhhYEAH

November 11th, 2011
5:36 pm

Oh really? not a video game? Because im pretty sure AJ FEELEY and Stephen Jackson sure made it look like one against you guys. what was it…159 on the ground? And last I checked…that was only two weeks ago, some might consider that fairly new. its definitely not old news by any means. But if you think Dunbag and that soggy defense is gonna stop Turner without Vilma then youre sorely mistaken friend

didnt we WIN the seattle game in spite of our poor defensive performance? and arent the bears are damn good football team? tough to judge someone on the first game of the season. i wouldnt do that with any team, no matter who it was. but whatever makes you feel better man

ohhhYEAH

November 11th, 2011

and by th way….we already beat the Panthers, and i believe we are the only team thus far to hold Mr Newton to under 250 yards passing. jus sayin

COBRA

Exactly, my point is just if you lose couple of games to bad teams doesn’t make that team any less elite. And saints have tendency to lose to bad teams but I am proud that they always put up best effort against good teams. So I expect a hard fight and W over falcons.

COBRA

You played panthers in Ga dome. Stop cam from throwing 250+ yards in carolina and then I will agree that falcon defense is too good to be true.

ohhhYEAH

November 11th, 2011
6:23 pm

No my friend. “Elite” teams do not lose to poor opponents. the Saints are nowhere near elite. Do i think the Saints are good? Yes. Elite? Not at all. And to say we held him to under 250 because we were in the dome does not make it any less impressive as imcertain he’s played a couple other road games this year and thrown quite well. Im not at all saying the Falcons have a “too good to be true” defense, but i do think we have one, right now, that can limit Brees and help us come out with a win.

ESPN is reporting that Jonathan Vilma and Turk McBride are out for the Saints. For us. William Moore is probably out, but Julio Jones is being listed as probable.

If we pressure Brees the way we did for most of the MNF game last season, then our chances greatly improve. I blame our coaching staff for taking their foot off the gas and allowing Brees time to throw at the end of that game.

Same thing in the GB game this year. We had Aaron on his butt the entire first half almost, then built our lead, and went completely conservative

I knew it!!! They brought Julio back TOO SOON!!! And we didn’t even need him against the hapless Colts. Damn! When we learn a) how to prevent hammies from happening; and b) to keep guys out until they are COMPLETELY HEALED?

Saints lost to the rams, the dam rams, hell falcon fans dont be up here talking with crazy people. Hell on sunday we will kick there butt, one fact i need the saints to look at, falcons are 2nd in the nfl in redzone scoring with 18 td’s and six fg, saints defense 32nd in the league in redzone defense so the math yall cant stop anyone from scoring and we are also 7th in rush defense. Get a grip Abe will have at two sacks on drew azz.
