FLOWERY BRANCH – Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones, who missed the last two games, returned

110812 Atlanta - Smoke and fire surround Atlanta Falcons rookie wide receiver Julio Jones as he enters the stadium to take on the Miami Dolphins at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta on Friday, August 12, 2011. Curtis Compton ccompton@ajc.com
to practice on Monday.
Jones suffered a hamstring injury against Green Bay on Oct. 9. He didn’t play in the subsequent games against Carolina and Detroit.
Jones went on a rehabilitation run on the Monday before the Detroit game, but was not able to return to practice. The Falcons are hopeful that Jones does not have a setback after his action on Monday.
Jones has 25 catches for 358 receiving yards. He is third among rookies in catches and yards receiving.
Cincinnati’s A.J. Green leads the rookies in catches and yards with 33 catches for 516 yards.
Cleveland’s Greg Little is second in catches with 29. Seattle’s Doug Baldwin in second in yards with 403.
Also, cornerback Christopher Owens (concussion) returned to practice.

Cam made some good throws, but his team lost. Ryan’s record is 0-2 in playoffs (how many years did Peyton play before winning a playoff game), but he has led our team to 3 straight winning seasons when we had never even has back-to-back winning seasons. His record so far 37-16. He won 11 games as a rookie with a worse or certainly no better team than Cam has. Cam is gifted for sure, but how well will he be at calling his own game and how well will he perform after getting “jacked up” a few times? I’ve been a loyal fan since 1966 and I’ll take Ryan any day. I wouldn’t call most of the people on this board real football fans, they are just a bunch of “video football game smack talkers.”

I agree…………….3 back to back winning seasons and could be 4 this year and whos to say they cant go into the playoffs again this year for its theirs for the taking if they play hard and play smart football !
Think these Aints fans are just scared they are on the downhill run coming and they like it on top of the Mountain but nobody stays on top forever so they may as well face reality as it comes because sooner or later it will indeed come to any football team including the Aints !

Michael,
I think STB4 is really a Falcons fan in denial. Think about it. He/She is always here on our blogs, talking about the Falcons. When I dislike something, I stay away from it. He/She claims to hate the Birds, but he is really a fan in denial.

STB4,
If you haven’t been nauseated by living in/around New Orleans, you can’t be nauseated. I visited your part of the country when I was still in the Marine Corps. I wouldn’t wish living there on anyone, including you. You have my sympathy.

The Govment don’t print and give papers out in NO since Katrina, so no, they don’t read papers. All you Saints fans are proud to be living off taxpayers. You can’t take care of your self ” I need help”. When the Tennessee floods and the Midwest floods came the people there knew how to take care of themselves. You didn’t see Obama helping them out. So Aints fans go back to you little toilet bowl and quit posting on the Falcons blog..

STB4 is actually one of the filthy, stinkin “refugees” from the Katrina debacle. In fact, he was somehow able to convince FEMA to let him put one of those government funded “white trailers” on his government funded “home” here in Atlanta.
He should talk about a stinkin city, considering the stench he brought with him from the swamp.

I think we sould go after Leigh Bodden now that he has cleared Waivers. He is a New England guy and would be a good option to be a 3rd or forth conerback a definate improvement of Chris Owens and maybe could push Dunta down the road.

Playing QB is 90% decision making and for that reason I would take Ryan over Wacco any day. Please Wacco is barely over 50% completion rate. You can’t compare QBs that were taken in later drafts because the Falcons took the best QB available when they needed one. Early in River’s career they had the same complaints about his arm but he’s turned into one of the best long ball throwers with his average arm. It’s all about developing a relationship with your receivers and no one complains Ryan can’t get the ball to Roddy because they have developed the right chemistry. Ryan will develop that same rapport with JJ. Ryan has an average NFL arm which is better than Brees or HOF Joe Montana, so what?
