Wow, I’m 1st! With that being said, the defense played outstanding. They played fearless and with very few penalties. Go Falcons!!!!!

Holding Megatron to 6 catches, 96 yds, TD was great game planning. Brent dropped a gift from Stafford but that’s ok bc he knocked one down when Stafford tried to put it over his head.

I agree, the Defense showed up apart for from a long run and the busted coverage on Megatron, two possible interceptions seems like thaey’ve started jellying.

Really awesome day fo the defense as a whole. Decoud didn’t play that well, but most everyone else was outstanding, Peters and Grimes especially. Detroit would have been a lot tougher with better running backs, but I can’t take anything away from the way our guys played. They were excellent. Defense won the game.

Matt Ryan really showed his toughness yesterday.

Please let us know about Ovie when you can DLed.

10-6 sounds reasonable..Maybe a wild card on the road? Not good……

Its going to be real tough.. Theses playoffs team are going to stop Turner and Ryan is not by some luck going to turn into Drew Brees( what a rocket arm!) 5TD’s, 62 points!!!!!!!!!! OMG……

Defense is looking better than the offense!
Mularkey has got ta go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As far as the crap talk, It’s way to prevalent from virtually every team. Just shut up and play football.

BJ Raji was whining again yesterday. Avril is now denying that it happened, yet we all saw some idiot talking crap to MATT BRYANT yesterday.

Seriously? Just shut up, quit the histrionics and play freaking football.

Last year proves it doesn’t matter where you enter the playoffs as long as you get in. GREAT GAME, it was fun to watch and looking forward to putting a big whipping on the Colts…

I thought I might pull for Stafford and the Lions in the playoffs when not playing the Falcons. Now I wouldn’t pull for them against the aints. Trolls blocking the tunnel passage, Suks & Avril taunting injured Ryan. I think those people up there get brain freeze. Philly, GB and all.
All you guys in need of 6′2″ CB’s, did you see Grimes about a hand above C Johnson on blocked pass. 42″ vertical & athleticism.
Matt Ryan tough and smart but not accurate. Got to work on that if that’s possible. A little long on Roddy’s TD against C Houston, but he caught it. An earlier pass to Roddy would have been a TD but was overthrown. C Houston was again about three steps back. I watched one of Houstons ints a couple of weeks ago. It was a bad pass thrown into Houston’s hands and a wide open field for a TD. CB’s get the cheap ones sometimes. Please don’t bring him back.
All in all, a good game with good players and good depth. Maybe Stivek s/b the starter.
Congrats TG!!!!

Great Win! Peters is turning into a monster at DT. Ovie tweeted that the injury looked worse than it actually is and suggested he wont be out long (hope that means the bye week will be enough). But you never know until the MRI. I was perplexed as to why we didn’t see any toss sweeps to Turner like we ran against Carolina. Did we shy away from that play because of the Wide 9 defense. Seems it would take advantage of DEs crashing down and catch them headed in the wrong direction.

Also loved the way Smitty called a time out to over rule Mularkey on that goal line play. Mularkey sent in our small package w/ Quizzy leaving Ovie and Turner on the sidelines. Why would you do this knowing Detroit is going to stack the middle of the line? Even announcers wondered why we weren’t using our bruisers down on the 1 yd line then Smitty called the time out and set things straight.

Chandler, you are a VERY confused man, are you really going to compare stats when we play a 5-1 team and you play a very weak 0′fer team. Really, please. We will take care of busines when we play NO aints very soon. Bet he don’t throw for that against us. Also, scorin 62 against a team that is NORMALLY ran by Peyton, and wil be again, is just stupid, that could come back to haunt you. So keep pokin your chest outfor beating a team not much better than a high school team, and we will continue to hande our business.

@DMF1120 – I agree on the sweeps. I don’t think we gave it a try and it worked great last week. I think I did see an attempt of a screen play.

Bad play on Antoine Smith’s block in the back on Weems long run TD. Smith was 10 yds. behind Weems when he made the hit. The play was already past him and his block wasn’t necessary. We’ve got to stop making stupid mistakes.

@YoDaddy I’m glad you took the time to check that chump. Everybody knew that the Saints would beat Indy in N.O., but the Falcons were a big underdog to the Lions in Detroit. Even some of our fans were talking junk about the Birds going into this game. A win is a win and a road win is even better. With 9 left and 5 to play in our house it could get brutal. Falcons win 8 ot of 9 and go 12-4 at the very least 11-5.

Good win Falcons!
But a quick note on detroit’s local duo….Johnson was crazy not to go to UGA and play on a team that passed the ball and then to eventually be joined by Stafford….These guys are gonna be like rice and montana or rice and young.

Now after a win against Indy in 2 weeks, the Falcons will end the 1st half of season with a 5-3 record…..not too shabby with the schedule and rough start. That’s certainly on pace to make playoffs…..so much for the naysayers as the Falcons are progressing….it’s a marathon, not a sprint.

Great Job Defense, continue to get better, you guys made some big plays, got the Lions offense off the field. Great Job 3 weeks in a row. Matt Ryan need to get his throwing mechanic down,he throws off balance to much while in the pocket and he throws flat footed. It seems like his legs are to wide apart and the throws he can step into and throw he doesn’t. He also needs to throw the ball where the receiver can catch it in strive, especially the short throws to the running backs.

Hey Y’all.

ONE HEARTBEAT, BABY !! ONE HEARTBEAT!!. Our Falcons are playing “ONE GAME AT A TIME” have regained their “ONE HEARTBEAT!!” SWAG.

What we saw Sunday was our Falcons making “PRETENDERS” out of the Lions. Our Falcons played HARD, NASTY, ROCKIN FOOTBALL on OFFENSE, DEFENSE AND SPECIAL TEAMS. THE COACHES CALLED A DECENT GAME AND I CAN SEE THE OFFENSE STARTING TO OPEN UP MORE IN THE LONG BALL AND THE PASSING TO THE RUNNING BACKS. THIS WILL GET EVEN BETTER AS THE SEASON GOES ALONG. NOW, IT IS INTO A BYE WEEK AND TO COME BACK AND CONTINUE DESTROYING “ONE TEAM AT A TIME”. THIS IS NOT A SPRINT. THIS IS A MARATHON!!!. THIS WILL BE A LONG, BEAUTIFUL, HARD PLAYED, WINNING SEASON FOR OUR FALCONS, THE OWNERS, AND OF COURSE, US FANS. THE SWAG IS BACK!! IT IS BACK IN “ONE HEARTBEAT!!”. THUMP!!! IT’S TIME FOR THE PERCULATOR!!!! IT”S TIME FOR THE PERCULATOR!!!

GO FALCONS!!!! TAKE NO PRISONERS!!!

THE “PROCESS” CONTINUES!!!!

“FALCONS RISE UP!!!” IN “ONE HEARTBEAT!!!” “TOGETHER: “THUMP!!”

SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is a SECRET from a FALCON FAN. TELL EVERYBODY!!!

…………………………..”ONE HEARTBEAT, BABY!!!!………………………………….
