Run Turner and Snelling at the perimeters, inside or outside the tackle. Save up some outside runs and HOPEFULLY a screen or two to Quizz. Try a deep shot early and go backto it once in a while to keep them honest. Then attack with quick slants and crossing patterns to allow for YAC. That’ll do.

Nice plan Day One Fan!

You know, many teams run to set up the pass. I think with all of the weapons we have in the passing game, we should pass early and often to set up the run. Seems to me that the slants and crossing patterns to Jones, White, Gonzalez, and the others would loosen things up so that when you come back to Turner, there would be holes everywhere. Then when you had the D all messed up, mix in a downfield shot and a screen pass. Keep a good mix going and they would not know what to do…

On our defense, we have GOT to get some pressure from the line!

Run, run, run some more. Don’t let Ryan (over)throw deep passes. Play better defense. Better offensive playcalling. Pull thumbs out of butts pregame.

The key to this game and all games moving foward, is the falcons have got to hit the deep pass. They have to stop just trying to use the deep ball to make the defense think, but actually connect. And even at that, an explosive play for a quick touchdown would begin to make defenses think twice about the falcons. I think Mike Smith took for granted the status of his team during preseason and should have worked them a lot more. Hindsight is 20/20 however. This would be a huge win only if we back it up with a win after the bye week. Then we would be sitting pretty for the NO game at home.
