The Packers felt slighted by the Falcons, even after Sunday night’s 25-14 victory.

Green Bay players haven’t forgotten offseason comments made following last year’s playoff game at the Georgia Dome, which the Packers won en route to their Super Bowl championship. The Falcons left the perception that they were the better team last season.

“Now that we abused them, for the second time in a row, at their home, there’s nothing really to do,” Packers defensive lineman B.J. Raji told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel following Sunday night’s win. “If they want to play us again, tell them to come up to Lambeau [Field]. That’s it. That’s how we’re doing it.”

Raji said he didn’t consider the Falcons a rival, despite Atlanta’s regular-season victory last season.

“They have a long way to go,” Raji said. “For it to be a rivalry, you have to win meaningful games. They’re just another opponent. They have a long way to go. I wouldn’t talk like this, but when people don’t respect you, I don’t take it lying down. Those people don’t respect us, so, in turn, I’m not going to give them any respect.”

Savage57 you know Rogers is the new star in the league and the officials were scared to throw a flag when GB offensive line went hands to the face. Personally since the official has been moved from behind the defensive line to behind the offensive line a lot of penalties on offensive lineman are being missed or they don’t have the gonads to call a penalty.

The Falcons need to reflect on this season right NOW. The question is “Is it true” what BJ is saying about my hometown team. I personally think that both Mularky and BVG need to be scrutinized closer. Then the Falcons need to scout nothing but offensive and defensive line in the next 2 drafts to get quality and depth in both lines. The Falcons still have time to turn it around. GO FALCONS

BJ is a fat slob and is lucky the NFL exists or he might have to where a thong and be a SUMO Wrestler. The Packers won and played a much better 2nd half. BJ is probably embarassed by his play in the first half. But the Falcons were not the only team hitting after the play. I watched most of the game with binoculars And saw many dirty plays by the Pack.

I thought we should have ran it more. I thought if I wasn’t so weak maybe I could have thrown the ball up high so my receivers could “go up and get it”. I’m pretty sure people should call me Maddy now after that pathetic display of quarterbacking.

The Falcons need to tend to business, not showboat as did Witherspoon and other defensive players. I feel the Packers are a better team and that the Falcons need to huddle up and make better efforts. Turner is showing his age, we need speed in the backfield. Ryan is trying to do too much. He needs to calm down and make better throws. He seems to be catching the Bartkowski happy feet disease.

Arthur Blank with all of his money will look in the mirror and see…….
Rankin Smith.
Who made the decision to hire TD?
He made the deal for Julio to hide his lack of talent evaluating skill.
The Browns are really hoping for a Falcons meltdown and a more valuable pick.
This reminds me of Dan Reeves trading a 1st round pick for another TE.
TD is such a mediocrity.

In regards to Raji…as we called guys like him back in the day, “U Big Slob!” He’ll end up pimping the NFLPA for benefits after he blows out both knees and ends up running a dead-end chop shop somewhere in Newark, NJ. Do we really concerns ourselves with a “U Big Slob!” who has a remaining shelf life of less than three years. Whatever! Wait till the arthritis kicks in on “U Big Slob!” and he’ll be on his knees begging to one of his Newark tricks to change his bedpan! Slob!

the Packers stopped by for the ” Occupy Atlanta ” rally. and they left ” Owners of the GA Dome ” falcons need to learn to play 4 quarters. last year they were good < but also lucky. this year they neither good nor lucky. luck has run out . Mularky and Vangorder its time to resign. sorry guys but its time for the team to go in another direction.

RAJI is 100% correct. If you want respect then you must earn it. Or you can take it if you are BAD. You have to produce for 60 minutes a game , not the first 15 minutes (FIRST QUARTER) MIKE BULLARKEY need to really ask Mr. Blank to find a NEW COORDINATOR for his replacement. IN this league it is what have you done for me Lately. I know he has a pretty decent record with us in the past. That’s it the (PAST) . It’s time to move on and let by gons be by gons. I predict FALCONS record at the end of the season 8-8 tops, if BULLARKEY stays. Matt Ryan calling his own plays maybe 10-6.

the packers didn’t beat the falcons, the officials did.the packers should think the officials who made it their business after the falcons offense cut the packers defense up to prevent the falcons offense from doing anything else.the falcons shouild feel good despite the cheating by the officials.in the first half, everytime the packer offense ran a play they were holding on every play but the officials never called it but in the second half, everytime the falcons made a big play they threw a flag on them.these guys should be investigated.nobody is going to crown the packers. they are not a superbowl team only if the officials help them. the falcons will take care of business, they shouldn’t listen to blind fans who will not call a spade a spade.the officials rob them sunday night, point blank.

Wow… WOW, I was off by one little game. The fact still remains….Yes, the Pack did win the Super Bowl. Can’t take that away from them, but the Falcons still had a better record than the Pack last year. Also, the Falcons are 2-2 in the last four games versus each other. How about those facts… They still loss three more games than the Falcons last year and don’t forget the last team that beat them…. US!!!!!

cloudy, no we didn’t.did you see the game? notice everytime the falcons offense in the second half tried to do something, they usually did but the officials made sure the didn’t go up by 3 tds. they started the falcons offense in second and long all of the second half.the packers have a good team but they are not like everyone is trying to crown them superbowl champs for this season.i stop watching in the second half with the score 14-9. the officials were not going to let the falcons do anything to further bury the packers.the packers needed the help of the officials sunday night to win.hopefully, this won’t happen the rest of the season.that group of officials were terrible and should be investigated.we are suppose to believe the packers made ajustments in the second half? no way.they needed the officials for victory but they won’t be there to save them the rest of the season. they called holding on sam baker and everytime the packers o-line blocked they blocked the same way baker blocked but the difference was baker is a falcon and the packers are the big bad pack, yeah right.they should thank the officials for this one.

Since the Packers won because of his three tackles (0 sacks) last night, B.J. is feeling himself right now. They have the bragging rights, if it means that much to him in Week 5. I’m guessing he’d have something to say, win or lose. But hey, they’re playing great right now and we’re inconsistent. As long as the Falcons make the playoffs I don’t care what our record is. Hopefully B.J. gets his wish and the birds will make a trip to Lambeau in late-January.

Generally, when you take a lot of guys who aren’t really all that strong or talented compared to their opponents on the line, they tend to play dirty to survive in the league.

This OL is woefully untalented. Sure the lunch pail gang thing is fun to sell, but give me Walter Jones and Willie Roaf every freaking time.

I like you have endured with my beloved Falcons but, we must hang in there because we will prevail in the end. Falcon fans don’t get mad; the packers are who we thought they were…..a better team than the falcons. Not to mention what really may hurt is the high first round they will be giving up next year to make another team better (even though I like Julio Jones). This feels like a abusive relationship that has reached an end. Go ahead and move the team to LA already, I can’t watch anymore!

no birddog24, the officials should stay out of the game and not be seen.they should let the players win and not try to be seen on their part.but we are not worried because the falcons will be playoff bound this season.that bunch of officials should be ban for ever attempting to call another game in the NFL. its a crime for those officials to be that terrible. mike smith need to step it up on the sidelines.instead of standing there smiling and letting officials take his game.he need to get in the faces.those officials on sunday in the falconn’s game were so awful it wasn’t funny.

HAHAHA! Make all the jokes you want about Raji, but the simple fact is he is a BETTER player than ANYONE that is on the Falcons roster. How many studs do you have on your DL that play multiple positions (DE and DT), not to mention do both of them very well? All why playing 85-90% of the snaps? Um-huh, I thought so…
Also, this article was entirely out of context; no mention at all of what motivated his remarks. Here are some from another source, apparently ignored by your home newspaper:
“Much of Raji’s distaste for the Falcons comes from receiver Roddy White’s comments during the off-season that his team was better than the Packers as well as some other slights Raji accused them of, including coaches not shaking the hand of one of the team’s priests after the divisional playoff loss.

Whether it happened the way Raji said it did is anyone’s guess, but that was the mentality many of the Packers’ defenders took into this game. They thought the Falcons had only so much to offer before the Packers’ talent would take over.”

So, in summary, if your players were as good on the field as they are at running their mouth, you would be a better team.

Guys, Guys, Guys! This is a tough league, and a very streaky league. We still have a long way to go. We could win the next five, and GB could lose the next five. That would make us 7 and 3 and GB 5 and 5. I’ve seen stranger things in the NFL, haven’t you? We did play a horrible second half, didn’t we. And this game was totally different than the beat down we took in the playoff loss last year. And yes, I think we are a bit overrated, because we are not playing up to our potential…..no pass rush, and the miscues from Matty to his receivers. But you plug a hole here and there, next thing you know, you string together five wins in a row, and the whole season looks good again. All we want to do is get into the playoffs, anything can happen after that.
