While I hope the Falcons can somehow win this game, honestly I feel there are just too many glaring problems with them right now to beat a team that’s at its peak. No pass rush, a terrible offensive line, and a secondary that seems to always make even the most mediocre quarterbacks look like Hall of Famers. A win would mean the Falcons might just be turning the corner in some of these areas; a loss, unfortunately, means that they’re flirting with a lost season and perhaps even lottery territory when all is said and done.

It also wouldn’t surprise me if a job or two (or more) might be on the line this week pending how various parts of the Falcons’ team perform.

How about Bosher?
A kick out of bounds-terrible and out punting the coverage and kicking it straight when the punt was meant to go right, and Washington returned it to the 10-Terrible

im just gonna stay positive and hope we can pulll ths out. i will admit psoting on here negative things, come to thinkk they are not negative things just simple truths i.e. dunta is a huge pile of feces, baker absolutely stinks and mularkey is an idiot and ryan has no ganas(desire) to be the best he can be. so im just gonna stay positive and believe we can win!! 21-2 at home is a huge menatl edge for us. we can do it if the above mentioned putz’z can pull ther heads out of there backsides, we can win this game, u too roddy, i know you read these posts. go falcons!!!!!!!!!! falcons 31 packers 19. kiss my converse rodgers

Greetings once again Falcons fans. Guys, it’s early in the season…whether you’ll say so or not, the Falcs are talented team…your guys WILL gel, hopefully starting the Sunday after next. Frankly, the Pack are having problems with a porous pass defense — serious issues with tight end coverage by our linebackers. They’ve been able to generate turnovers which has saved their bacon on more than one occasion. Granted the offense has been hitting on all cylinders and they’ve been able to capitalize on mistakes they’ve forced the opponents to make…but, I really and truly cannot believe that a quality team like the Falcons just disappears from one season to the next. Mark my words, if the Falcons don’t turn the ball over…it’s going to be a close game.

Please don’t take offense to this comment I’m about to make.

I see this game as an approaching mammoth asteroid about to hit the earth. For all intents and purposes, a world-ender. Never have I felt this way before, even when we had to play New England in New England a few years back. I’m terrified of the Pack. I’m terrified of what Aaron Rogers will do to our oh so soft zone coverage. All I can say is God speed.

Aaron Rodgers and his precise route running receivers are the right test model for Falcons pass rush and secondary to make statement game to the league. That the Falcons defensive unit can put together a complete game with a stellar performance.

No quarterback in the league is playing at a higher level than Rodgers is currently playing. Rodgers confidence to make any throw on any route is impeccable and his receivers are in the right place to get the ball, adding YAC on most routes.

A bullish defensive mindset is the anecdote the Falcons will need for the Packers style of offense. ATTACK, ATTACK, ATTACK..

A FORMIABLE FOE IS THE TEST MODEL TO MAKE AN OPPONENT DEMONSTRATE ITS VINTAGE.

TO THE FALCONS PASS RUSHERS AND SECONDARY, IT IS TIME TO LICK YOUR CHOPS AND BALL-HAWK.

BECAUSE A. RODGERS WILL THROW ENOUGH OPPORTUNITIES YOUR WAY TO GET SOME PICKS.

FALCONS CAN WIN THIS GAME IN TWO WORDS..POSITION AND ATTACK. THE BALL WILL GET IN THE AIR. SO BALL-HAWK.

i just do not see any way whatsoever how the Falcons can pull this one off. I am not even sure they can make this close. The Falcons offense is predicated on running and setting up the pass and grinding it out which is in my opinion an outdated style of play. Also, if a team is going to run this old-fashion style of play, it better be have a good defense and well..we know Van Gorder’s defense is repsonsible for may qb’s around the league getting huge numbers in passing yardage as well as contract extensions. i just am not impressed all around with the Falcons.

Falcons aren’t beyond hope y’all. Once one part starts clicking, the others will come. Need the coaches (Mularkey, BVG) to adapt and quit being either hard-headed or stupid in play-calling. You’ve seen what Ryan does on his own, and some smarter pass rush and not-so-soft zones will correct the D in a hurry. Just takes 1 play on either side of the ball to set the tone for a game (like Ryan’s pick, going into the half last December…)

“Falcons beating my Packers? Unlikely. The Falcons must do the following if they hope to win:

Establish the run and don’t abandon it. (Packers do have the #1 rushing D so might be tough). Matt Ryan must study as butt off because it is up to him to beat the Packers D. Dom Capers will be giving him all kinds of looks and if Matty makes a mistake, Tramon may be taking it to the house again.

Containing Aaron Rodgers. The Falcons have to have great game preperation, film study, and must be dicipline! You absolutely cannot blitz Rodgers or he will tear you apart. Rodgers goes through all of his reads before the snap. The best way to contain Rodgers is to have a really good 3-4 man rush and the secondary must be sharp and not abandon their zones.

Lastely TIME OF POSSESION. The Falcons must win the time of possesion battle. If the Falcons do all of this, they might have a chance against my Packers. In conclusion, I just simply don’t think Matty vs Packers secondary all game will work. Also the Packers have Greg Jennings, Jordy Nelson, Donald Driver, James Jones, Randall Cobb, and Jermichael Finley. I just can’t see the Falcons secondary containing ALL of them.

Good luck Falcons fans, you’ll need it.”

Personally i think this one falls in the coaches hands, they need to recognize our strengths and weaknesses and exploit them this weekend. We all know Baker and Reynolds will have trouble, make sure our RB’s pick up their mess. On the flip side, don’t play zone on third and 8 – send 5 or 6. Hayden can cover the slot and Sanders and Moore will fill in over the top. Have Decoud (our fastest back) knock some sense into Rodgers. I’ve been a birds fan my whole life, never once setting pressure on the squad as I’ve done this year. Not giving up yet, just think we need to make adjustments week in and week out to keep people guessing. Oh and adjustments throughout the game. If i had one play i would like to call for this game it would be a screen to JQuizz. In light of the coaching staff having their best game of their tenure. Falcons 31- CheeseHeads 20.

I remember last year everybody was talking about Dunta stats and the reason why he was not getting picks was that the balls were being thrown away from him. This helped Grimes to the pro bowl. This year is different, almost every pass is going over to Dunta and the only stat he is leading the league in is least passes defended and most yards given up after the catch. He is the least likely CB to make the pro bowl. I guess anything worth doing is worth doing right! If you are going to be the worst CB in the league, be sure you are the best at the being the worst. It won’t earn you more money, but it will get you noticed.

Coach McCarthy never allows his men to assume that any game will be a walk. Each man prepares hard. Aaron Rodgers is a confident man who knows he has one of the best arms ever but he is never complacent and is always prepared. Plus he loves the game. He loves the match. He respects the opposition and is friendly with most NFL QBs and other players. Hope it is a great competitive game. Hope it challenges him to the hilt. But I want Aaron and my Pack to win and make it back to 46.

Remember they Rise-up and beat the so called dream team the eagles (1-3) wink wink and that’s with mike vick on the field and off the filed lol. Now it the world champion packers to be the next team on the check list of payback from last season. I’d say they should study the Saints game. The Saints hung plenty of points on the Packers…..so they found some weaknesses on that Packers D. The question becomes can Matty exploit them the same way? I like the idea of some no-huddle to spread them out. We are really missing a pass catching weapon out of the backfield….that is a must have in todays game.

Yep, in the immortal words of Lou Brown…”They think it’d be better if we just went out and shot ourselves…” C’mon, it’s 4 games in…Really? Do you really think Green Bay is that unbeatable and the Falcons are that hopeless? Seriously people ,which NFL have you been watching for the last 10 years or so? Do you really think teams that peak early are on track to win big the whole damned year??? Even the undefeated (regular season) Patriots slowed down in the end and eventually got beat. And sorry, Green Bay ain’t even CLOSE to that team.

SCREW what “they” think.

Atlanta is hurting like a son-of-a-b*tch since that playoff loss last year. There’s ONE way to exorcise this particular demon….

Best way to slow a top offense like GB’s…BALL CONTROL.

We have to dominate the line of scrimmage and run Turner and Rodgers down their throats. If we can dominate Time of Possession and cut out turnovers, we have a shot at limiting the damage Aaron Rodgers can inflict.

Seriously all you homers? This game may be exciting but it won’t be close at the end. Atlanta cannot run on the Packers and they certainly have nothing close to Brees at QB. Rodgers will pick you apart from the get-go. They will hang 50 points minimum on you again. You actually think you can win a shoot-out with the Packers? You are totally delusional…..
