FLOWERY BRANCH –  There are no major surprises in the new “unofficial” depth chart released by the team on Tuesday for the season-opener against the Chicago Bears at 1 p.m. on Sunday at Soldier Field.

Recently signed cornerback Kelvin Hayden is listed third at right cornerback behind Dunta Robinson and Christopher Owens.  Safety James Sanders is listed No. 2 behind William Moore at strong safety.

Center Todd McClure is listed No. 1 at center, but he’s been declared out of Sunday’s game after undergoing knee surgery on Aug. 29. Joe Hawley will start in his place and will be backed up Rob Bruggeman. Also, left guard Justin Blalock could play center in an emergency.

So what is the current excuse for Jerry being stuck behind an injured player who missed the last two pre-season games?

I would never cheer for the Aints. They’ve always been the Aints and always will be.

The Saints team and quarterback are just not as good as the Falcons. They could very likely end up third in the division this year. Let’s face it, every defensive coordinator last year pretty much had Brees (Charlie-Checkdown) figured out (take note of the increase in his interceptions). Same thing will happen to Freeman this year. Newton, doesn’t stand a chance against a superior Falcons defense. To say that the rookie will be confused is an understatement. Ready to watch my NFC South champions (2011 too) begin their domination this Sunday!!

TD, please go get Garrard…I’m sure MSmith can vouch for the guy…at lease get someone that has started at QB for number 1 back-up…Redman is nice story…so was Parker Wilson…Garrard could be a good pick-up…we could use a serviceable mobile QB.lol

If you can get Garrard for Redman kind of money…I don’t see the risk.

I am concerned about our Center position….It will be the Key position in our running game and getting good snaps to Matty. Matty still looks nervous and throws the ball way too quick!
This will finally be his year!!!

Garrard – NO, remember Leftwich !
Bush-NO, practice squad material !
Owens-NO, can’t adjust to the pro game !
Schillinger-YES, a quality back up that some of you don’t understand !
Matthews should be on the starting roster, Owens should be sitting !

GO FALCONS AND GO SOUTHERN RUSH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
