Falcons from ‘The U’ mum on the scandal

FLOWERY BRANCH – The Falcons only have two players from the University of Miami in linebacker Spencer Adkins and punter Matt Bosher.
Adkins was selected in the sixth round of the 2009 draft and Bosher, who’s attempting to replace Michael Koenen, was selected in the sixth round of the 2011 draft.
The university and NCAA are conducting investigations following a report by Yahoo! Sports that a former booster, in prison for his role in a Ponzi Scheme, lavished more than 70 players and coaches with cash, jewelry, travel, parties, prostitutes and an aborition.

“I haven’t gotten involved with it,” Adkins said last Friday after the Falcons game against Jacksonville. “I’m just here with Atlanta trying to get better.”
The scandal alleged lasted from 2002 to 2010. Adkins wasn’t sure if any of former teammates were involved.
“I really can’t speak on it because I really don’t know anything,” Adkins said. “I haven’t focused on that at all.”
Bosher, a sixth-round pick from the University of Miami, was instructed by the Falcons not to discuss the current scandal at the school.
“I love Miami, but I’m here to talk about the Falcons right now,” Bosher said after practice on Sunday. “If you have any more questions about that you can talk to [the communications staff.]”
When asked if he thought Miami should receive the NCAA’s death penalty, Bosher said, “I don’t have anything to say about that.”

Hey fella’s they are student-athletes not athlete students unfortunately whether you believe it is right or wrong to pay a player is irrelevant these players were paid by prostitutes, Hits on other QB’s, Where does the Mob mentality get quenched when someone takes out the QB’s knees off campus this program because of it’s cover up deserves the worst penalty ever given out (save the death penalty) and if they were doing this without national championships just think what Luther Campbell was doing when they were? there are a lot of reasons to keep quiet for Punter and LB I do not blame the Falcons for squashing it and standing in the No comment I am focusing on the NFL now.. theme.. it is better for college football not to have National Champion just play tour conference and enjoy your bowl!!!

I have come across girl-scouts who display more intestinal fortitude than some here who snipe about Miami and it’s players ….yet hide behind a keyboard , both ashamed and afraid to say which college team they hail for on Saturdays.
I AM A HURRICANE FAN…live in Florida by choice but a ‘Canes fan by the grace of God. Come thick, come thin I stand by my ‘Canes. If ever I have a beef with fans of other teams on a comments board …I identify myself and am never fazed by the slings and arrows.
The amazing thing here is the gullibility of some who say that Miami and its fans are the ones who are lying but the Pozi-schemer who bilked people out of $930 mil….is the one who’s telling the truth.
And we all know that the receipts genuinely prove what he said right ??
Matter of fact you should get some of the people he bilked to confirm that every receipt he produced for them and the charges attributed were genuine too.
