When the dust does settle from the NFL Lockout, the Falcons plan to strike by offering hyped-up fans a new ticket-buying experience.

The team has launched a new virtual seat viewing system that provides fans with unique and realistic 3D seating visuals of the Georgia Dome. They are hoping to improve the online ticket buying and season ticket purchasing experience.

Fans get to see their game day view throughout the Dome, and can purchase season, half season packages and single-game tickets. The system also features an interactive parking map that will guide fans directly from their front door to the parking lot on game day.

Prospective buyers simply follow the link http://vsv.atlantafalcons.com/ and select their desired section for a realistic 3D stadium view. In addition to allow fans to shop online, they could also contact a member to the team’s ticket office via email or live chat.

Next spring, the system will allow renewed season ticket holders access to available seating online based on seniority, and provide them with the ability to personally select new seats.

“Many of our season ticket holders have asked for the capability to manage their seats online, and we are pleased to respond to their needs,” said Falcons president Rich McKay in a press release. “Through a partnership with Ballena Technologies, we think we’ve created a virtual seating tool that will be of great value to current and potential Falcons season-ticket holders.”

I think more stadiums should have a feature like this. Having walked through empty stadiums trying to scout the different seating sections, I know how difficult it can be to know what you’re getting when you buy season tickets.

What gives though? That link just brings me to a Microsoft login screen.

SeenThisB4, with your permission, I’d like to try to respond to this article as you or HiramSaint would. Deep breath…here goes: Ha ha ha LOL Failcant fans can handpick the best view to watch Matty limp arm throw picks in big spots and the D get burned. Stick around after the game and watch us dance on your logo again. GEAUX SAINTS!

Sorry, that could’ve been better. He never would have used both “ha ha ha” and “LOL”–probably wouldn’ve gone with the latter. Also, he probably wouldn’t have mentioned the dancing on the logo, since that whole incident is actually kinda embarrassing to them (if you’re a defending Super Bowl champ, why on earth would you celebrate a road win over a team that is supposedly as overrated as the “failcants” are?) I do think he would make the Matt Ryan and D-fense digs, though…I give myself a B- on this one.

Why do these meetings get bounced around from city to city?
They have the same people at every meeting….Just lock ‘em up in a room in NY until they get it done…
Seems like they spend more money traveling from city to city then what they want in negotiations…Nobody gives a crap where they do it…

Yeah, Travel itinerary…Mon. in minnesota, Tue in NY, Thur in spokane
What? Are we reading this like “Jeez, can’t wait to get my tickets for that meeting in Birmingham”
“That’s where they’re gonna clinch it!”.
Like the city is gonna make the difference in the negotiation?!

Ah yes, memory lane! Yeah, the Saints Sorrier than Sorry Defense (That’s in reference to you Kenneth) took a photo on that falcan’t logo, that’s all.

Yeah, that old defense that stopped your team, dead-cold, on the one yard line, on their own field, yeah that one. The rest of that story is just a rumor that Roddy White started.

Speaking of memory lane:

It’s only a matter of time B4 the Saints reclaim their rightful spot atop of the NFC South! Tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick……

Laissez Les Bon Temps Roulez! GEAUX SAINTS!

Kenneth: By the way, the Saints don’t need a virtual game seating app, though they have it, not to purchase tickets anyway, cause the Saints have every seat in the dome, SOLD OUT. Can your team say that? C’mon you can say it, albeit sheepishly: nawh sir, dey can’t.

LOL! and Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!

See ya Kenneth, I’m going to lunch, it’s noon time in New Orleans and it’s a beautiful day out!

“LOL and ha ha ha!”–LOL. Love it. But I think you mean “tick, tock, tick, tock, tick, tock…” “Tick tick tick” is more indicative of a bomb and I think you’re going for the clock effect. Or maybe not–maybe you do mean it’s a bomb and the 2011 season is going to explode on the Falcons the same way the Browns and Seahawks exploded on the Saints’ D last year!

Good idea however I’ve seen this in other stadiums (both NFL & MLB) for 6-7 years. I didn’t know the Falcons didn’t yet have this feature.

Still, I’m glad they have it now!

Go Falcons!

p.s. And thanks, D-Led for the article! Good work as usual.
