Tim Tebow’s book is now available

Falcons’ Ray Hamilton to speak at youth clinic Saturday

BIRDLAND – Falcons defensive line coach Ray Hamilton will be the featured presenter at a coaching clinic for local youth football organizations and middle school coaches from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Lassiter High School in Marietta.

The Falcons and USA Football, the official youth football development partner of the NFL, will host the clinic which cost $25 and includes lunch, a gift bag and official certificate of completion.  Coaches can register at usafootball.com.

Matt Ryan Celebrity-Am Classic is set for this weekend

BIRDLAND – Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan, an avid golfer, will host the Matt Ryan Celebrity-Am Classic on Sunday and Monday at the Tournament Players Club (TPC) Sugarloaf to raise money for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and the Matt Ryan Foundation.

“I think it’s going to be a great event,” Ryan told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “I think it’s going to be a unique experience for people to come out and be able to meet some of the guys and play golf with some of the guys and raise some money for a great cause.”

The event quickly filled up, but they’ll certainly still accept donations on behind of the hospital and foundation.

DVR ALERT: Gonzalez, Turner on NFL Network’s Top 100

BIRDLAND – Falcons tight end Tony Gonzalez and running back Michael Turner will be featured on this Sunday’s episode of “The Top 100 players of 2011″ at  8 p.m. on the NFL Network.

Gonzalez and Turner finished ranked between 50-41 by their peers in the 100-player countdown. Quarterback Matt Ryan, who was featured last week, was ranked 52nd. He was presented on the show by former Falcons coach Jerry Glanville. Defensive end John Abraham was ranked 69th.

Gonzalez was second on the team with 70 catches last season. He also amassed 656 yards receiving and scored six touchdowns.  He will be presented on the show by Pittsburgh head coach Mike Tomlin.

Turner rushed for 1,371 yards, caught a career-high 12 passes and scored 12 rushing touchdowns last season. He will be presented  defensive end Adewale Ogunleye, …
