BIRDLAND – Falcons defensive end Chauncey Davis will honor community leaders during a fundraiser for his foundation at the Twelve Hotel at Atlantic Station on Thursday.
Two of the honorees include WSB-TV’s Monica Pearson and Enterprise Holding’s Daniel Miller.
Davis is a tireless community worker. He’s speaks to children about alternatives to bullying and about fitness.
“Each year, the Chauncey Davis Foundation works to impact the lives of youth through grassroots programs and interactive projects. After my mother lost her leg due to complications associated with diabetes, I wanted to make a difference that would not only educate young people, but also save and change lives,” said Davis, who started the foundation in 2007. “Each one of our honorees has made a difference in the community in various ways. Our event will honor their commitment to providing educational opportunities, increasing awareness and impacting the lives of future generations.”
Last year’s honorees included: Baranco Automotive Group founders Greg and Juanita Baranco, vice president and general manager of McDonald’s USA Harry Coaxum, president of The Georgia Lottery Corporation Margaret DeFrancisco and Grammy-award winning artist and founder of Big Kidz Foundation Antwan “Big Boi” Patton.
Proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit various Chauncey Davis Foundation programs. For more information about the event and the foundation, please contact Jason Draper at 404-997-9304 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
