The Falcons have put a first-round tender on cornerback Brent Grimes, who had a breakthrough season and made the Pro Bowl after last season.

In 2010, Grimes was targeted a league-high 119 times by opponents (according to STATS, Inc.) Grimes answered the challenge, posting an NFC-best and a franchise record 23 passes defensed to go with his five interceptions.

The Falcons have placed a second-round tender on running back Jason Snelling.

If a new collective bargaining agreement is signed, the tenders could be rendered meaningless. The Falcons and other teams are just trying to lock up their restricted free agents under the old rules.

Turner weighs less than 250 and btw 4.58 is slow. You’re tripping Chris. Ovie Mughelli probably runs faster than that! hahaha Thats practically a 4.6!

Tuner’s trade value is as high as it will ever be. Changing our #1RB would take some guts. But I think we have hit a ceiling with a #1 RB who cannot or will not be a pass catcher. He’s the best at what he does, but he just does not do enough.

Grimes and Dunta are OK. Need more pressure up front.

FITZ YOU R EXACTLY RIGHT RISEUP WE NEED TO SIGN GRIMES
