Roddy White apologizes to the fans on Twitter

FLOWERY BRANCH – Falcons wide receiver Roddy White apologized to the fans via his twitter.com account on Sunday.
He wrote, “I want to apologize to all the falcon fans for our horrible performance last night it was not good and I’m sorry”
White turned in one of the best season in NFL history.
He led the league with 115 catches and set a new franchise mark for most catches in a season.
But after the game, he was terribly disappointed.
“You always think about your legacy and you’re judged by what you do in the postseason,” said White, who caught six passes for 57 yards. “I haven’t done anything yet. So we have to prepare ourselves for next year.”
The four turnovers jolted the offense out of sync.
“They came up with crucial turnovers when they needed them and they kept us out of the end zone,” White said. “After they got ahead, they kind of came after us a little bit. They blitzed us. We really couldn’t do anything. We had to throw the ball in the flats and things like that”

I’d give the Falcons a grade of D. It would be an F if it weren’t for the fact they did perform well in the regular season. But that is like saying I did well in high school then score 500 on the SAT (when you get 400 for signing your name). The Falcons made the playoffs then miserably failed. There is a lot of work to do before they are ready for prime time.

I REJECT Roddy’s apology. Roddy, this is POST SEASON FOOTBALL.
The Falcons, as an organization and team, LACK killer instinct. They refuse to REVAMP that weak defensive secondary or get a real threat as a running back. Yeah, Turner is good, but compared to a premier back, he doesn’t cut it.
Any time they have a standout player, they push the load soley on that player’s shoulders and they wind up leaving. Poor coaching decisions, and the front office is apparently afraid to cut unproductive players like Finneran, Owens, Robinson. We, as fans have celebrated and stood by you with those expensive tickets and hot/cold seasons. I’m not easily getting past this one, Falcons. You won’t get off the hook because for once, YOU OWE YOUR FANS. TWEET THAT RODDY.

I told a friend during the that the Falcon organization should apoligize to the city of Atlanta and the State of Ga. for the poor performance. The didn’t seem hungry nor prepared. Thanks Roddy & thanks for an entertaining season. When it’s your time it will happen.

Roddy, I have stood my ground for the Falcons time and time again. Your apology is not what I want, nor do the rest of the many fans of the Falcons. What we WANT is a WINNING TEAM. What we WANT is a SUPERBOWL ring. We don’t care about Pro Bowl. We don’t care about you having a bad day. We WANT a SUPERBOWL RING!! Get it! You can apologize all the way to the bank. You won’t get any more of my money on Fan items for sale or tickets to the dome. You can apologize that to the bank.

Thanks Roddy White for even thinking about the fans. Being that said when has the last time the Falcons been known for having one of the top defenses in the league. The road to the superbowl is defense!!

lived in ATL for 25yrs…never been a falCANTS fan…never will be…the antics of their ‘push off’ receivers, their ‘holding’ OL and ‘noodle arm’ QB finally caught up with them…the rest of the nation has seen them be the luckiest team all year long..the healthiest team in the NFL couldn’t get it done when they needed too..13-3, week off, home field advantage…WOW..and laid an egg on national TV…they finally got what they deserved..

two weeks to prepare….get a few ‘new’ wrinkles….and what did you come up with?…NOTHING…QB can’t throw long….’burner’ can’t run over 15yds…Rowdy Roddy won’t run a deeper route than 15yds cause he knows the QB can’t lob it more than that….2 funny…fewer injuries in the entire NFL….ur star TE ‘gets’ an injury so the failures can’t be blamed on him….he won’t retire…look for him in Pittsburgh next year….maybe he’ll have a change at a SB…. 2 funny…

could go on forever…..lost 5, yes…5 starting RBs….lost 3, yes….3 TEs…had to resort to practice squad RBs in playoff game…lost 4…yes 4 DBs….you tell me how any preparation can overcome that….least injuries in the NFL for your team and can’t get past ONE playoff game…how many does that make for Matty Melt and Mike Smith?…go ahead, we know the answer….falCANTS

i’m on here because i live in the area…still a Saints fan..Saints ticket holder for 15yrs before moving here..lived thru the 70s and early 80s Saints teams in Tulane Stad and the S’Dome…thank goodness for Directv…was good to see the falCANTS hats handed to them Sat….my wife and i both noticed the number of empty seats as the cameras panned the dome…all this talk about fan ’support’ and Rise Up…fans gave up when they saw the falCANTS give up…..

Let me explain it to you one more time.
The Falcons got crushed by the best team in the NFL. The Aints lost to the worst playoff team (besides the Aints) in playoff history.
NO. The Falcons did not go out the same week or the same way the AINTS did.
The Aints had one good year. That is it. There will never be another. Get over it. Everyone else in the world has. This is the 2010-2011 season. Live with it. The Aints went from irrelevant to SB champions to irrelevant in record time.
The fact that you guys live on OUR blog even after you were DESTROYED by a HORRIBLE team tells me that you have NOTHING TO LIVE FOR THERE. You are crabs in a barrel. reliving that one day when you climbed up and peeked over the edge and saw the ocean. Good for you. But Seattle then boiled you alive served you up. And they can’t even cook.
We are looking forward to next year. If you have any intelligence at all, you are living in dread next year.
