Falcons ticked with Saints for posing on their logo

Former Falcons defensive line coach Bill Johnson posing with some of the Saints on the Falcons logo after Monday Night's game.

The Falcons are ticked off about the Saints posing for pictures on the team’s logo.

Also, Saints defensive end Remi Ayodele told CBSSportsline’s Pete Prisco that he urinated on the Falcons’ logo.

The Saints were celebrating after beating the Falcons 17-14  and securing a spot in the playoffs.

After the game, the Falcons were unaware of the Saints celebration. The team didn’t practice on Tuesday or Wednesday.

However, one team official, did speak with NewOrleans.com’s Brian Allee-Walsh about the Saints’ celebration.

“Believe me, that didn’t go unnoticed, not just by our players and coaches but by our owner (Arthur Blank) and front office people,” the Falcons’ official said. “It did not go unnoticed and it will be remembered.”

Ironically, if the playoffs break a certain way, the Saints could return to the Georgia Dome for a divisional round playoff game.

In order for the Saints and Falcons to have a rematch at the Georgia Dome, the Falcons need to beat Carolina to secure the top seed. The Saints would then have to beat the NFC West winner in the wildcard round to get a return visit to the Georgia Dome.

Many time. You know why it’s like that? Because idiot out of towners come down here and act like they’ve never been out the house before.

Michael Turner dropped the ball? Go to nfl.com and look at the video. He got mugged. Also, go back and look at how Brees threw a pick 6 to give you a lead you would have never had. He just wanted to make you hurt even more.

Its amazing how these Falcon Fans a week ago were saying how great this team was and they were the best team in the league. Sounded like they had a SB trophy after 14 games. Now, they are upset that they have pressure on them to win a game or become the 5th seed. We’ve been here before. We will handle our business. Will you?

PAt Swilling, If you want to get technical the Falcons should have swept the Saints last year. First game Falcons was going in for the winning TD. Tipped ball caused Int saved the Saints. Second game you barely beat a team playing it’s second string QB and RB all game.

Umm…Saints won the first meaning by 8 points dummy. If anything the score was closer than the game indicated. In the second game, we were missing several players as well.

Wouldn’t it be fitting for the Falcons (Dallas of ‘07) to lose this week and get the #5 seed and have to go to Seattle for the playoff game and lose, just like Dallas did in ‘07. Then you can get rid of Roddy Owens.

The Saints are just a reflection of their getto, crime infested city. Look at the guy on the last row at the end. He’s even standing there like a gang thug. Peeing on a team logo is a classy move. You would never see a Falcons players doing such classless things. Yea they won a SB. You would never see the Patriots or the Colts doing that kind of thing. Show some class like you been there before.

Don’t you think he could hide in a huddle of other players? It’s not like he had to drop his pants like a girl or did he? Further, I would believe an Atlanta news outlet before I would anyone from NO. Besides I’ve not heard any news outlet in NO disputing it.

Don’t forget, the FAT Burner had about one run for about 20 yards, so take that one away and he rushed 16 times for 28 yards. That is the definition of a #1 running back by the lowest standards.

I was at the game on Monday night. Very disappointed in the Falcon fans leaving so early. The game wasn’t even over and they were giving up on their team.

Pierre Thomas had more rushing yards than the Fat Burner. Hell, he had 9 less yards in receiving than Turner did rushing.

The bottom line Saints fans is that you will probably be travelling out West While the Division winning Falcons are at home resting up to beat the crap out of the next team they play. YOU will be sitting home in February watching the Falcons in Dallas and saying ” hey, we barely beat them on Monday night”

Wow….

I find it pretty crazy that there are individuals stating how ‘classless’ and ‘disrespectful’ the Saints and their fans are, when previous posts state things like “theres always hope for another Katrina, maybe the job will get completed next time ; )” and “Hey SAINT, maybe your family will be wiped out by the next one LMAO!”.

Who is more disrespectful and classless there? Someone having a picture taken on an opposing team’s logo or someone stating they hope an entire city or someone’s family is wiped out? This just goes to show you can’t judge a coach, an entire team, the entire fan base, or a city based on the actions of a few, otherwise it sounds like Atlanta fans are the classless ones here.

I see nothing wrong with posing for a pic on a logo. These two teams are rivals to the core. These teams both try to rile each other up and this has gone on for years. Individuals from both sides do it, so taking a snapshot isn’t that bad. As for the one ‘pisser’…fine him then and maybe he’ll learn his lesson (if he did in fact do it and not just ’say’ he did it to piss of the Falcons), but don’t confuse that one guy for the entire team or the fan base.

Alpha Dog;

How can you beat the Gumbo out of a team that turned the ball over 3 times in the first game and missed a field goal, which is 4 turnovers. The Falcons received the ball to start the game and to start overtime and you were still staring an L in the face. Then, they come to your home and dismantle you. Forget what the score says, the game was in no means competitive. You can thank the refs for keeping you in the game. Not to mention the non-call for Pass Interference that your safety didn’t turn his head around on.

Just hope that GB comes to your home and beats you, because I don’t know how you could handle another loss to the Saints. What a way to start your New Year, as a LOSER.

You didn’t see this kind of behavior from the Falcons after their win in the Superdome this year, did you? If that report is true, then what the Saints (and especially Remi Ayodele) did was classless and uncalled-for even with a heated rivalry.

Hope the Saints do come back to the Georgia Dome in the playoffs. I’m certain our boys will be up for the game. Ayodele might end up having to pee into a bedpan.

Some of you falcon fans are stupid. First of all, if you are angry because the team took a picture on the falcon logo, then you should get a life because it’s a free country. Only in communist countries are you told where you can and cannot take pictures. Thank God for freedom. Secondly, For some of you to say “We don’t want you New Orleans people here in Atlanta, I refer you back to my “thankful” comment. Thirdly, If you honestly believe that Ayodele urinated on your precious logo, in a crowded building with cameras rolling, you are immature and I refer you to my get a life comment. Besides, it was just something stupid that he said, just like the stupid comments made by Roddy White before the game. Besides, he made a horrendous comment about our natural disaster which in itself is childish and immature, not to mention thoughtless, which brings me to my fourth point. To equate our natural disaster with your depression over the loss of a football game is horrendously childish, and heartless, and totally inconsiderate not realizing what either you personally or your city can face in the coming years. And fifthly, as for your “thug” comments, I have been to Atlanta on a number of occasions before Katrina and have read your papers, and your city has its thugs and all the problems that I see in New Orleans news so you are not exempt. Football is entertainment and entertainment only and is not on the level that some of you are putting it on. Its fun to rag each other about its teams and and poke fun at each other about winning, losing, championships, playoffs, etc. But when it gets to the level that some of you are bringing it to, then really it should pale in comparison. When you have serious life problems, football falls to zero in importance. Shame on some of you!!!

To all the delusional falcon fans:
The falcons only blip of offense was a single TD drive that was built on 50% penalty yards! If not for penaties (92 yards and negated Colston TD versus 10 yards against Falcons) and two bad mistakes by Brees, the it shoulda been 24 – 3. Don’t worry, the Saints won’t give up so many penaties next time or mistakes because that are the only reasons the Falcons even made it to playoffs! Without some lucky bounces and bs ref calls, the falcons are easily 8-7 and out the playoffs! Saints will be back soon except this time we will be bringing our running game and Ivory so can’t wait to come back!
BTW, I was at the game and watched the whole scene happen, as well as hundreds of fans and media and it was just the D line guys taking the usual quick pic in middle of field as they have done every game since Dallas and walked back off! Nobody stomped or danced and the only supposed quote was from an unknown CBS blog guy that is using bs to get readers! Remy said We “POSED” for a picture, NOT pissed! Seriously are y’all dumb enough to even believe that? If so, I have a wealthy cousin in Nigeria that needs to move $100 million dollars out of country and he will gladly split it with you if you send money for the transfer fees first! LMFAO

It is really a shame that the rivalry betwwen these to excellent teams can’t be looked on as that. We have to make all these stupit and racist comments just to make ourselves feel good about us. these are to great teams from thre best division in the NFL. It is nice for fans to talk trash, but let’s not let become foolish and disrespectful. I hope both these teams meet again on the road to the Superbowl, just because they are such a great match up. I don’t think that any AFC team or NFC team in the leaque can amtch up with either of these two excellent teams. Now let that be our focus.
