Falcons ticked with Saints for posing on their logo

Former Falcons defensive line coach Bill Johnson posing with some of the Saints on the Falcons logo after Monday Night's game.

The Falcons are ticked off about the Saints posing for pictures on the team’s logo.

Also, Saints defensive end Remi Ayodele told CBSSportsline’s Pete Prisco that he urinated on the Falcons’ logo.

The Saints were celebrating after beating the Falcons 17-14  and securing a spot in the playoffs.

After the game, the Falcons were unaware of the Saints celebration. The team didn’t practice on Tuesday or Wednesday.

However, one team official, did speak with NewOrleans.com’s Brian Allee-Walsh about the Saints’ celebration.

“Believe me, that didn’t go unnoticed, not just by our players and coaches but by our owner (Arthur Blank) and front office people,” the Falcons’ official said. “It did not go unnoticed and it will be remembered.”

Ironically, if the playoffs break a certain way, the Saints could return to the Georgia Dome for a divisional round playoff game.

In order for the Saints and Falcons to have a rematch at the Georgia Dome, the Falcons need to beat Carolina to secure the top seed. The Saints would then have to beat the NFC West winner in the wildcard round to get a return visit to the Georgia Dome.

The Falcons offense offended me more on Monday night. We played lights out on D and blew it on O. With that being said the Aints have an @$$ whipping coming their way if we get a game 3 rematch in the playoffs.

OK Ya know what, 1st Saint fans have a little class, you own the game you were the better team that night. 2nd Taking a Piss or even thinking about leaving human waste on a place where you have to play a game is … disgusting to say the least. Rivallies are supposed to be fun not nasty I will not sink to your level, so grow up and act like the adults you are supposed to be you won the game we made more critical mistakes than you did. Believe that IF you come back you will face a more determined team that will TCB. Go Falcons

The Saints and New Orleans are from a sewage unit who’s city smells like Sh!t and now they show the true colors of what kind of true classless losers they and their city is all about. Atlanta will always be far more superior to N.O. You won a SB , big deal , at least we are a team built from the ground up. By the way, all the Katrina victims that came to Atlanta, pick up your trash and go back to the sewage. You people from Louisianna are worthless. Keep looking for more of my hard earned dollars , you pack of unemployed, welfare taking jackasses.

In response to the person that submitted “Every Dog Has Their Day”. If that were the case then Roddy White should be dead by now. Also in response to the person that said about Sean Payton as being “Childish and Silly”. You ever take a good look at your coaches face everytime he doesn’t get his way. The way he curls his little lips like a 3 year old. It’s so cute!

What a joke! Do you think that NFL players have one molecule of loyalty for their teammates, their team, their fans, or the cities they represent? Absolutely not! Every player is a union dues paying millionaire, doing their best to mimic ghetto hoodlems and thugs. They and their corporate owners have shaken down the fans to the extent that not many families can actually afford to go to a game anymore. ESPN and the broadcast networks pad their nests by agreeing to outrageous fees that are just passed along to cable customers whether they watch it or not.
The NFL is a giant scam and you are being scammed if you have fell for this trash.

As a Saints fan, I was wondering what you birds were thinking about this incident. Taking the picture was not the problem, that was to cherish the memory of beating our arch-rival to gain a playoff spot. I just wish Remi didn’t say that about then urinating. And I don’t even think he did it, how could he get away with that with nobody seeing it. If we had just taken the picture, it wouldn’t have crossed any line. It was however a hell of a game. Falcon Fans—–We should take pride in this. Now hear me out. What this shows is that the Saints regard us as a tough team. They took this picture and acted in a very immature manner, not because they won but because they knew they got lucky and can’t count on that happening again.
Think about it. Would taking a picture on a team’s logo or urinating on it be a bigger day in the regular or post season? Even if they think they could possibly defeat us again then why not give the Falcons an entire off season to stew over it?
I think more then anything else this shows the Saints aren’t really champions. They’re more of a bush league group that really got the game gift wrapped by the officials and Falcons. Do you really think the Falcons would blitz that much in the post season or were they just giving the Saints something else to prepare for? That fact that it worked so well should really scare the hell out of those Aints! Also, do you think a playoff ref is going to call double pass interference when the Saints player initiated contact 10 yards down the field on Roddy or Mike Jenkins going over Tony G’s back on third down? Even John Gruden didn’t miss those calls! I think the funniest thing is that the Falcons have given teams a blue print to stopping these Saints! Not that we have to worry about other teams doing our job when we get to blow out these Aints in the second round!
And for all those classless Aints fans, what’s it like knowing your team cannot beath these Falcons? You have to look forward to Matt Ryan and Co. running the no huddle and ripping your hearts out in the process. Just ask Raven fans how it feels and you’ll get to hear what is in store for you!!!!

SaintMan504,

U missing the point. What we are talking about here has nothing to do with sports. Born and raised Falcons fans recognize that logo not as representation of the team, but of the city. To say you urinated on the emblem is to say you are peeing on the city itself. This goes beyond the game ( I gve props to the saints immediately afterwards and the following day). This makes it personal.

I say New Orleans people (including my mother and grandmother) are not welcome here not because of the game. But because so many of you are disrespectful and simply ungrateful.

I absolutely love how the ignorant, classless, Disgusting Bird players and their fans came on our websites talking trash….got on their Twitter accounts talking trash and slammed our city, saying there was no way we would come in their house and beat them. Well, we did and we took a picture. Now you all want to whine that we are classless?! Really?!!

Now I do think our boy crossed the line by saying that he took a piss on your logo. But everyone saying he needs to be arrested is stupid. Do you really think he went out there and urinated on your logo? The whole team “metaphorically” pissed on your logo, Ayodele just should have left that out of the press.

We have been rivals since I was a little girl. I understand that ya’ll are pissed because we are the World Champs, it’s understandable. But that doesn’t mean you all should get your heads all pumped up because you are at the top of the NFC. You had a weak ass schedule and you have barely squeaked by in all of those games. Your first big game on the big Monday Night platform and you all folded. Made so many mistakes and couldn’t handle the pressure. Sure, Drew made a few mistakes that allowed you to get on the score board, but all of the penalties those birds were doing and the refs were looking the other way. We were penalized an entire football field, made two would be fatal mistakes AND WE STILL BEAT YOU! And we will do it again, because we are the Saints, the defending WORLD CHAMPIONS!

Even if you did make it to the big game (and that is a HUGE effing IF), you won’t make it past the Patriots or whoever makes it from the AFC. You need to come to that realization quick, because your team has made it to the big game once and come home empty handed and if they make it there this year; you are in for the same disappointment.

WHO DAT?!

Points still win the games

December 29th, 2010

“Total yards 466 vs 266 who dat who dat luck into a superbowl.”

Hey Mark, last I checked points determined the winner of the game. And when you factor in totla yards (kickoff, punt, & int return) Vikings had 523 yards to Saints 469 yards. When a team has 3 scoring drives (17 points) under 40 yards, one of them being a 7 yard TD drive, they aren’t going to put up a lot of yards. It’s why at the end of the day, it’s the points that matter.

Then again, I guess that’s why the Falcons fans were trying to taunt me and my friends after every first down.

We are the most giving, kindest folks you’d ever want to meet (except maybe those that trash talk here) and all we really want is a good game.
Too bad we won last year and too bad we beat you at home this year. It happens. Just play the game, have fun and remember, it’s only a game. Life goes on. Deal with it!
