FLOWERY BRANCH – Falcons fans, especially those of you who are getting new cell phones for Christmas, you can
help out a really cool program.
Verizon Wireless will be hosting a HopeLine phone drive on Falcons Landing out in front of the Georgia Dome prior to Monday’s game against the New Orleans Saints.
HopeLine from Verizon collects no-longer-used wireless phones, batteries and accessories in any condition from any wireless service provider. The phones are then refurbished and provided to local domestic violence organizations or local government and law enforcement agencies for use with their domestic violence clients.
Wireless phones and technology can serve as a vital link to emergency or support services in a time of crisis or as a reliable, safe connection to employers, family and friends as survivors rebuild their lives.

Good wimmins, bad men. Am I the only one totally over this faked up story? Hey, let’s all don brown ribbons, because 20 percent more men die from colon cancer as do women from breast cancer. (Wouldn’t work – try getting a DB to wear brown shoes…)

D-Led, will there be a local TV station carrying the game, like the Thursday Baltimore game. I’m running off an antennae here. Thanks!

Get your facts straight…
In 2009, there were more cases of colon cancer in WOMEN than in MEN.
Also, in 2009, there were 40k female breast cancer deaths and 25k male colon cancer deaths.
So yea, I think you are the only one over this “faked up” story…

The Falcons should have done what the Hawks did, donate toys for tix! Make the tix for 2011, and i bet there would have been a huge turnout.
