FLOWERY BRANCH – Tell your preacher to let you out of Sunday service early.

Take the MARTA if traffic is your issue.

Cut the tailgate off a little bit earlier.

Basically, as Kim Zolciak sings, “Don’t be Tardy for the Party!”

Falcons coach Mike Smith, who is 18-3 in the Georgia Dome in three seasons, is asking the fans to be on time and loud for Sunday’s 1 p.m. game against the Green Bay Packers.

“I just want to talk a little bit about the upcoming game and how important it is for our fans to get out there,” Smith said. “We want it to be like Thursday night (against the Baltimore Ravens). That was a big advantage for us as a football team to have the fans in the stands, rocking and rolling.”

The Falcons are 8-2 and have the best record in the NFC. Green Bay is 7-3.

“It should be a good game,” Smith said. “The Green Bay Packers are on a roll. They are playing good football. It ought to be an exciting afternoon. We are hoping that everyone will come and help us win the game.”

Too many yankees in Atlanta. There’ll be more Fudge Packer fans than Falcons fans.

Fans in Atlanta please be there and be LOUD. If we can win this one, the team is all but assured a spot in the playoffs. A loss would also seriously hurt the case for home field advantage and a bye as we would have a loss to both GB and Philly. Be grateful you can cheer on the Birds in person and show your support. I live in Houston and the damn game isn’t even on TV, can you believe that crap. The NFC game this week is instead Philly and Chicago.

Maybe games in the Bible belt should start at 2pm. Or maybe church should start earlier–that’ll be the day.

This should be a black out game.. We need to pull out the all black uniforms. If we beat the Packers and split with T.B. and N.O., we should get home field. I do not see Carolina or Seattle beating us. 13-3 will get us home field. Please Falcon fans, pay no attention to those bogus power rankings. The national media outlets are praying for our downfall. They are waiting for us to slip so they can say “I told you so. They are not that good!” Keep this streak going.

And I told ya’ll that the Giants are not that good. Neither are the Jets. That Patriot defense will get exposed sooner rather than later and cost them a game. Watch what I tell you.

Dan – Yes, there are a lot of yankee transplants in Atlanta, which has a horrible impact on local sports and traffic (just to name a few). But I believe, and hope, that the Falcons fans will outnumber the Packers fans.

This is my first Falcons game this season, and I will arrive early. I also plan to be LOUD.

Great game yesterday! I was in St Louis for the game. I have to say I’ve been too many, many away games and outside of our division opponents this was the most ATL fans at an away game I had ever seen.

We all need to travel to at least 1 away game per year and support ATL on the road!!

To our fans in Houston and elsewhere, get Directv. I live in CT and watch all the games on Directv for just $250 with the NFL Sunday Ticket. Of course you have to have Directv which my wife hates as the only reason we have it for 365 days a year is so I can watch probably 10? Falcon games. (I travel 2 see a couple of games and a few are on national tv) BUT WELL WORTH IT MY FRIENDS!!!

Falcons keys to winning (as usual) vs the Pack:

#1 – Running game – Turner needs to get going. We expect the passing game will show up – that’s a given. If Turner breaks 100 yds, we win.

#2 – Defense bending but not breaking.

#3 – Special teams continue to improve on last week’s showing. We can’t afford to get beat (badly) in the field position.

#4 – No turnovers. Been playing very smart and basically mistake-free football. If we do 3 of these 4 keys, we win!!

If we do only 2 of these 4….we could get beat.

GO FALCONS!! :)

This is a blog that addresses Smitt’s plea to cheer loud at the game. So if you’re not coming in person, then change your mind…and come on down! :) And cheer loud.

No matter how good our TV is, nothing like a sold-out game at the Dome with the Birds.

The Falcons are not getting the respect they should have in the NFL. On the NFL website first page and on TV, everyone is talking about Tom Brady, Sanchez, Manning boys, and the –(Dam Vikings every day). The Falcons have the best record in the entire league and are not well recognized. What is going on? There is no perfect team this year. It is “not” the Steelers you Steeler fans so chill out. Every team has its holes on both sides of the field. If any team should be in the News all the time should’nt it be the Falcons. Whenever a team usually wins a lot the news commentators focus on that team. So tell me whats up now man?????? Go to the NFL’s website, and look under the Standings by the league leading stats and check out the Falcons………..OKAY???????? *********** NEW FLASH****************
THE ATLANTA FALCONS ARE THE BEST TEAM IN THE NFL RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!
