The article is about Stephen Nicholas – “NOT” MV7. Would you “morons” please go somewhere else.

Eaglette’s vs. Falcons in the Dome NFC championship game would be “lovely”

I must say the hit Turner put on RayRay was a beautiful thing to watch, “did anyone happen to see the expression when RayRay turned around while lying on the turf” – it was almost like he/RayRay said W-T-F jus knock the hell out of me? RayRay all though he did come back into game – made a few good plays – but he was not the same.
Ryan was beautiful to watch, the team really has a real “strong unity look” among them. If they stay injury free thoughout the rest of the way, we should be right in the thick it at the end.

@ come on son (and the rest of the green smurf lovers) – MV was suspended when Petrino was here then spent 2 yrs in prison. When he was here he REFUSED to crack open the playbook and was, admittedly, living a lie.

Is that why you are on a BLOG? So you can invent your own reality? Leave here, go to a Philly blog.

Alternately, we can discuss reality. I’m guessing reality is outside of your mental ability.

Actually the blog is not about the Atlanta Falcons. The subject is about a member of the Falcons who is making a compensated and sponsored celebrity appearance in order to make a franchised bar-b-que establishment some money. Well, they are actually the Flowery Branch Falcons…

Rewind back in time, Vick goes to Lambeau & beats a overrated Farve. If the Falcons get home field advantage & the Eagles make the playoffs, it will be an ugly homecoming. It will all be Blank’s fault, he tried to do a Jerry Jones by firing Dan Reeves & bringing in a yes man that Vick just ran over in Mora. Now that Vick has a real Coach in Reid now there’s accountability. Granted Washington didn’t help itself on Defense, but from what I’ve seen Atlanta’s secondary is no better or faster.

To all the rasict haters still talking about Vick, how bout you start worrying about all the child molesters ( majority white ) running around Atlanta just check your child offender registry. Vick has paid his debt, now he’s gonna make the Falcons pay on the field in their dream season talk about sweet justice. He will split this city apart again ! Media still hating on him, he has no interceptions & they say he is not in the MVP talk WTF, if Kevin Kolb had those same stats after missing the same time , what do you think. FAYR from the heart !!!

Dear Falcons: playing for HOMEFIELD ADVANTAGE !!! “YOU” are in control and will PLAY PHILLY and VICK IN ATLANTA, unless the guy gets hurt. He broke the hearts of Falcon Fans everywhere, millions of them, but most important, his TEAM MATES WHO HAD HIS BACK!!!! Want to win? 1) Rush the quarterback 2) rush the quarterback 3) Grimes has a big heart…but too short! for every interception he gives up three td’s ! Put him on special teams and 2nd team corner. or you are toast. AND, did you notice those BIG PLAYS?! RODDY, MIKE and HARRY can get it done too!

I really abhor all the idiots who make stupid comments about race this, slave that. First of all, get an education, whitey gave up thousands of lives to free the blacks who were/are infinitely better off here than they were in Africa, then and NOW and even as slaves, they were not having to hunt for food everyday, or run from lions or snakes or elephants or drought or famine/starvation. GET A CLUE IDIOT ! REAL CONSERVATIVES welcome ALL AMERICANS as BROTHERS AND SISTERS NO MATTER WHAT YOUR COLOR!! Lunatic liberals are the RACE BAITERS and RACE SPLITTERS OF THE WORLD, just for CONTROL!! ENOUGH LIBERAL LIES NOW GETTING ITS UGLY NOSE INTO SPORTS!! FYI…I was a catholic white boy raised in Atlanta, went to NAM and no matter what color, we were all brothers! What you see from the idiots in the movies are made-up lies !!! Black and white we would give our lives for each other…and DID! EVERY SIDE HAS ITS IDIOTS! LOVE FOR EACH OTHER CONQUERS ALL! INSIDE WE ARE ALL THE SAME.

That was an outstanding performance by Michael Vick last night. I don’t believe any other qb in the league can do the things he’s capable of doing. It’s too bad things didn’t work out here in Atlanta, the Falcons could have probably did a Hershel Walker type trade, and made out like bandits, if they hadn’t been so quick to jettison him.

Don’t give me that liberal or conservative BS some stupid white guy came up with, use some common sense for a change & stop acting like the dogs Vick was training by labeling your dumb @ss self. I think the Falcons vs Packers game will be one of the best of the season, but first we play the St Louis Rams this week who are 4-1 at home. I think the Falcons coaches and players are totally focused on taking it game by game, and once we get in the playoffs the possibilities are endless, especially if we get the 1 or 2 seed.

The cowboys recieved something like 15 draft choices for Hershel walker. And as a pro player, he was nothing like Vick(i’ m talking about on-field performance). That is what allowed Dallas to build their superbowl teams of the early 90’s. I believe that was before Jerry Jones took over as GM, but after he purchased the team. I believe the Falcons could have followed that same blueprint with Vick. If they were so intent on getting rid of him, which they were, they should have gotten something for him!

@June,
So you think the Falcons were just _intent_ on “getting rid” of Vick and that they made a mistake by not getting anything for him?
What exactly were the Falcons supposed to request from other teams? What do you think was being offered? This isnt monopoly with Mom & G’ma. Other teams do not care how much it hurts you and they dam sure arent looking to help you.

Remember, the Falcons had to play a man down for 2 seasons because of Vick and the salary cap implications for cutting him from the roster.
What would you do if you owned a business and one of your employees (*the one that you use in all of your advertising) was just arrested on felony charges by federal authorities, lied directly to your face about the situation, violated the pre trial conditions of his release by smoking pot, and continued to lie directly to you about the entire situation?
Nevermind spending 2 full seasons out of the league.

Exactly which teams in the NFL did you think were beating down the Falcons door? Exactly what did you think other teams were willing to give the Falcons for a player who, at the time of his release, wasnt even guaranteed to be cleared by the commissioner to play – ever?

The real facts are that if the boy wonder had been straight forward and honest to Arthur Blank, his life would have been much easier the past 4 years and there would even have been the possibility to play in Atlanta again. Once he lied to the ownership and tried to cover his ass, that possibility went away.
Just ask Donte Stallworth. The cover up is where they get you.

If u have a product that could be useful in the future you don’t just throw or give it away, you hold it until the demand comes back again. With the way that qbs go down weekly in the league, a wise man should have known to hold on and not give in to fan sentiment. whether fans wanted him to be here, he was still a valuble chip, and all other teams were doing was waiting for the brouhaha to die down a bit. now, if he doesn’t resign with philly in-season there will be a lot of teams bidding for his services at the start of the next season, and it was foolish and shortsighted to just throw him away because of fan displeasure. the team was already on the hook salary-cap wise, so releasing him didn’t save them anything.

Blank and the Falcons handle Vick the right way period. Did anyone not hear Vick himself say he did not take his job seriously in Atlanta. Spilling milk is a mistake, killing dogs, running an illeagal gambling ring, telling a judge you no longer smoke the wacky weed then later get tested possitive for smoking the wacky weed, is not a mistake but a chosen way of life. It’s no longer a story both he and the Falcons turned out well.

The Falcons did what they HAD to do and it turned out to be the best thing for all involved. MV is focused, has matured and is working harder than ever, and it shows. I’m happy for Vick and the Falcons. If there is a Philly-Atlanta playoff game (possibly the NFC Championship game) that will be awesome. Congrats to MV for turning his life around and congrats to the Falcons for creating a winning and competitive NFL franchise hopefully for years to come. Keep it going!!

@SeenThisBefore…, i am not defending the choices he made, he’s responsible for those and not anyone else. With that being said, there are plenty of people on these blogs who have been busted with pot and other drugs and have kept their jobs. They’re sent to rehab and other clinics, and come right back on the payrolls of companies all across this city and state. As far as i know he hasn’t been convicted of any drug crimes, pot charges have been alledged, but when was he convicted of one? you’re right, it has worked out for him, but the Falcons was robbed!

There is no argument about the morality of smoking pot. That is not the question. Its a fact that it is illegal and while under pre-trial release for a federal crime, it was a given he would be tested and he smoked anyway. It isnt about what he was doing as much as it is about showing a pattern in the mans mentality.

In the NFL you cannot just hold on to the guy and play with 52 while everyone else plays with 53 against you.
