Don’t think so! The falcons do not have the defense to be considered the best; furthermore, they have to improve winning on the road. The falcons have had alot of breaks go there way and that happens in the NFL. I believe the Giants are the best in the NFC. I guess we will see tonight!
Not So Falcon Fan

The Saint will be back by the end of the season…….Numero uno….
October 25th, 20102:40 pm
They have to upgray there WR postion. Micheal Jenkins is a first round bust and holding the team back. Falcons had there chance at TO and Randy Moss but blew it. I predict they loose most of the rest of there games. Mark my words.
October 25th, 20102:45 pm
I’m pretty sure I saw the Eagles beat the Falcons like a red-headed step child. While the Falcons are in good shape, it’s way too early to crown them “best” anything.
5th…..Not Bad! Let’s Go Birds!!!
October 25th, 20102:46 pm
Joe Fish, your first again because you don’t have a life and you still live at home in the basement!

Even if they are it really isn’t saying much as it looks like all NFC teams are bad or average at best. Look at the standings….Four wins is leading each division except ours with five.
i’m a big time falcon fan ….but they need a secondary bad..
October 25th, 20103:19 pm
Lose most of the remainder of their games??? joke right? we are 2-2 on the road. not great but still 500. 3-0 at home. 3-0 in our conference. the rest of our schedule are teams like st.louis, carolina twice (worst team in the nfc) seattle, tampa twice, greenbay, saints, baltimore. 5 out of the 9 games are played in the Georgia Dome. Carolina games should be wins for sure. St louis as well. tampa shouldnt be a problem. Saints just rolled over them last week in Tampa lol and we beat them last year with Redman. haha only tough opponents left…..Saints (always a great game) baltimore, and greenbay. Those could go either way.

His name is Gartrell Johnson. He was signed off the prctice squad when Norwood went to IRL. He is fourth on the depth chart @ RB after Antone Smith.
October 25th, 20103:23 pm
Not sure why everyone is looking @ the Ravens game as being so big. The Tampa game is way bigger for obvious reasons, and that is the first of two games in five days.

Ask me in January.
October 25th, 20103:28 pm
SeenB4, congrats on being first…………………just sitting and waiting to pounce, huh?
Geaux Away ! ! !
October 25th, 20103:30 pm
Right now one would argue the Giants but the G-men have played 4 of 6 at home; Falcons have played 4 of 7 on the road.
Let’s see how the Giants hold up on the road. Falcons do not travel for a month and need to TCB at home before we can tell what’s up.
Seahawks, Giants, Atlanta, Tampa Bay, Chicago, Washington will be in the playoff with Tampa Bay & Washington in as wildcards and Atlanta & Giants as first round byes
October 25th, 20103:34 pm
what ever you do don’t tell ESPN. what a bunch of idiots. this team is 5-2 and and leading a division and they can’t show anything on the Falcons. they almost seem to be black-balling this franchise. they’ll talk forever about other but not Atlanta. definitely no the total sports network. maybe the cowboy, 49er, ny giants, patriots network. but there is nothing total about their biased coverage. don’t know why the Falcons organization hasn’t pressed this issue the NFL and ESPN. they want to generate more ticket sales. this is one way to do that. get yourself on the map.
can’t say the Falcons are the best in the NFC but can’t say they shouldn’t be considered. but they have to correct things like losing to Eagles and Pittsburgh everytime they’re on the schedule. big teams seem to scare them.
October 25th, 20103:51 pm
Just checked ESPN power rankings. They don’t have week seven results in, yet.
(Falcons at seventh.)
October 25th, 20103:57 pm
Matt Ryan will never be good……….
Player Cmp Att Comp % Yds TDs Int
M. Ryan 24 33 72.7 299 3 1
Pretty good game, Matt !
October 25th, 20104:02 pm
I got so sick of hearing how the Falcons defense isn’t good enough to win the Super Bowl. Does anybody remember that the Saints had a defense ranked in the middle of the pack last year and win it all????
I actually think the game in the Dome with the Packers may decide who is going to have the advantage to get that #1 seed.
October 25th, 20104:07 pm
Redskins at 4-3
October 25th, 20104:33 pm
Here’s the thing:
I had the Falcons pegged at 9-7 this year. What I saw was a team with Captain Checkdown at quarterback, that won’t throw it downfield and will under-utilize Roddy White. I saw someone that will close in on Gonzalez and will restrict the offense.
As a result, I predicted that Turner and Norwood would get hurt and that the Falcons offense will stagnate into something ugly. And I saw that offense in the 2 games that the Falcons lost.
But what I saw yesterday was an offense with a quarterback that was chucking it down the field. It was great! But here’s the bigger thing: I saw Ryan throw it down field and got picked off. And guess what? He chucked it down there AGAIN!
If Ryan continues to do that at least a few times a game, it’s going to be nothing but good. In my opinion, if Ryan throws it down the field, the Falcons will be 11-5.
The best in the NFC? It’s too early, but the Falcons are the best right now.
October 25th, 20104:45 pm
1.Vikings 2.Eagles 3.Cowboys 4.Giants 5.GB 6.ATL 7.Saints 8.Skins
NFC is far weaker than AFC. That being said, if ATL brings their A game they could potentially beat anyone in the NFC except the Vikings.
October 25th, 20104:49 pm
Go Falcons! But i still have some concerns about the falcons secondary and the yards been given up. Also the way they been tackling lately. I hope we can correct this moving on.
October 25th, 20104:57 pm
Did you miss the Minnesota game yesterday? The Vikings aren’t the best team in their DIVISION.
It is hard to say we are best after the Eagles game… time will tell.
Come On Man
October 25th, 20105:02 pm
Hey Joe Tess Fish House…where the hell did you go to school? Its clear you can’t spell and TO and Moss are prima donas who tear down the chemistry of a team from within. The Falcons don’t need them…did you forget that Jenkins just got back from an injury? What an indiot you are….of course you already know that because you know everything!
October 25th, 20105:09 pm
The Falcons must do better against the stronger teams like Philly. In the Red Zone, in my opinion, if you get that close to the end zone you have got to score. Please stop calling the same up the middle calls 4 straight times when it is not working. Does anyone believe in trick plays anymore? The FALCONS SHOULD BE UNDEFEATED! CALL THE RIGHT PLAYS MAN PLEASE!”"
October 25th, 20105:12 pm
Come On Man, no need in even dealing with Joe Fish-Breath. He is just an imaginary character in the mind of SeenThisB4. SeenB4 is insane and thinks this is some sort of joke or something, so you cannot affect him.
October 25th, 20105:19 pm
Brett, I sure would have liked to seen you behind center as a Falcon but we just weren’t hiring heavy drinkers in those days. Now, with your broken ankle, this is a perfect opportunity to go home to your wife and see what you can salvage (did ya have a prenup bud?) So put on your open fly Wranglers and ride off into the sunset………….in other words R E T I R E………it’s the right time!

Aints are back to being what they do best. CHOKE!
FEAUX SAINTS! SOUR TIME!
October 25th, 20106:00 pm
We have to shore up our defense first. When we play the good teams we can’t get out coached. We must have home field advantage. The Falcons are a better team at home. Injuries have to be minor and we have to get a speed back in a trade. Well, let’s just wait and see way too many variables right now.
October 25th, 20106:04 pm
Sounds like your letter to Santa. Sure you don’t want a new bike, too?
(Just kidding ya.)
October 25th, 20106:22 pm
The Eagles are not a better team that the Falcons. The Eagles are not the best team in the NFC.
The Eagles won their game against the Falcons because they had a better game plan.
The Eagle’s coaches out-coached the Falcon’s coaches, plain and simple.
October 25th, 20106:24 pm
I don’t know which is the best team in the NFC.
But, the Falcons have the best record, right now.
October 25th, 20107:21 pm
By the way, where are all those folks that were shouting for us to get T.O……….??
October 25th, 20107:25 pm
@JoeTess – what the heck is upgray? you mean “upgrade”?? how can you say TO and #85 when we have a Roddy White? who wants those two cancers in our locker room??
October 25th, 20107:26 pm
and falc50 is right, its time ESPN got their heads out of their rectums regarding the Falcons….

I’m sorry Buzz, what was that list supposed to be?
October 25th, 20108:10 pm
I can’t tell you how glad I was to see the Brown beat the Saints. Thanks Brees for throwing 4 int’s, one for a pick 6. Brees threw 56 passes yesterday so obviously they abandoned the running game (about 50 yards total). Colt McCoy threw for (snicker) 74 yards but they had a very good rushing attack. I hear that Heisman loser Reggie Bush has been cleared for full speed practice but the Saints might be too desperate not to put him in, look for him to get hurt again.;
October 25th, 20108:15 pm
When I saw what was happening in the Taints game, I just literally was laughing.
Lon Chaney and the N.O. zoo crew had to be hitting the toilet.
This is like a movie script, let’s hope it continues.
October 25th, 20108:16 pm
Don’t know too many details. Did the Browns have a 60+ fake punt (for a TD?)
October 25th, 20108:36 pm
Why do you guys continue to say we need a reciever since Jenkins return the offense looks more explosive, also once everyone on defense is healthy we will be alright. Is it me or is Vance Walker a baller?Great pick up Thomas!!!!
October 25th, 20109:33 pm
Falcon Jim, I had that same s__t eatin’ grin when I heard the score. It is weird though that the Saints were ranked 25th in defense at the end of last season and here we sit…………24th on defense……………..could it be……??
It very well could be our time……………..but, let’s play them a game at a time and enjoy it…..!!!
October 25th, 20109:35 pm
Would have loved to have seen Kerry Meier with the team THIS YEAR…..!!!
October 25th, 20109:36 pm
DeSean Jackson, Michael Vick, LeSean McCoy. If these three guys are healthy, there’s no question the Eagles are the best team in the NFC.
October 25th, 201010:06 pm
Until the Cowboys are 1-5 and all the other loveable teams start to choke, the birds will never get respect. Look at Chris Berman who loves to always show the birds when they lose and hates to show them when they win. And the rest of the other ” Great ” commentators who are Falcon haters. Who cares, just win baby. Are the birds the best ? They would have had more love if they beat the Eagles. But they didn’t . We will see and only time will tell. Who is the best in the NFC right now ? No one. We will see at week 17 who is the best. However, I do feel that whatever Mularky did with the offense this week needs to stay the same and Van Douchebag needs to go back to college. Go Birds. 11-5 this year .
October 25th, 201010:13 pm
First play of the game said it all. When was the last time Atlanta actually passed on the first play of the game. It didn’t matter that it was a swing pass to Turner, it was the fact that they didn’t run. They were…UNPREDICTABLE!. Once we showed the Bengals we were going to be throwing the ball, they had to change their game plan and never got into sync for the rest of the half. That is what everyone has been saying all along. We had become too predictable and when we stretched the field, it paid big dividends.
