FLOWERY BRANCH – Falcons wide receiver Roddy White gives us his scouting report on the Cincinnati Benglas on RoddyWhiteTv.

Here’s the link.

“We are going to send them home, nice and quietly,” White said. “Tell them to leave quietly.”

White said he was to do his homework — film study — on his iPad.

Also, he has to get 50 tickets for the game.

The leading WR’s on both teams are writing checks their a$$es can’t cash. Hopefully, we’ll get the best of Palmer and the BS Twins but I hate seeing Roddy jawing with those 2 morons….

Well, Roddy’s no OchoCinco or TO with the banter, but I’m glad he’s confident about Sunday. He needs to change his blog picture to one with a sellout crowd though. That empty Dome looks awful.

Good test for the Birds. Will the same team show up that played in Philly last week? Sporting News picks the Falcons by…are you ready for this?…24. I kid you not. Would you take take the Bengals and 24? Do you need to get out of foreclosure? Bet the ranch.

prediction, the falcons play good, and they get good plays called. well i’ll still have a problem because they tend to do that once they loose. they’ll play a good game maybe 2 then they’ll slack off again, Smith talks all the time of consistency, well to me the coaches are the most inconsistent. so to me a win this week or next week will not change the way i feel about these coaches. only the way they call the game, we have an explosive team, i want some explosions.

I had a bad feeling about last week’s game, and I’ve got the same feeling about this week’s game too, even though it’s a home game. Our offense is too predictable, and our defense can’t stop anybody. I think the NFL has caught on to our smoke and mirrors routine, the Falcons have been exposed for the frauds they really are. I’m putting my money on the bengals this week and taking the points.

Man, just be quiet and play Roddy…don’t wake the Bengals up like that. I don’t think the Falcons have any room to get into verbal spats with the next opponent…just strap up and hit hard for 4 quarters, then feel free to talk if you do “run up the score.”

Especially when the other team is coming off of a bye and the Falcons are coming off of two straight tough road games. Not to mention, Weatherspoon and Robinson will not be in there. I don’t think there is any doubt Weatherspoon brings some attitude to the defense…they missed it last week.

FYI, I believe the Bengals are 2-4-1 coming off bye weeks under Marvin Lewis. I know a lot of factors play into that, but it essentially means that they are no more or less dangerous than they would be in a normal week.

I think Sunday the Falcons will bounce back in a big way. I think Matt Ryan will develop more of a downfield aspect of the passing attack. The Falcons have consistently played better at the GA Dome than on the road under coach Smith and I think that trend will continue. If I had one concern it would be the secondary being able to limit catches by T.O. and Ochocinco. As for Roddy’s comments I think everything will settle down once the game gets going.

Outcoached in every game? Check the standings ………….you don’t get outcoached in every game and stand 4-2……………. My opinion is Smith was outcoached only in the Eagles game, his team came in unprepared and certainly not prepared to play. Unless Smith had this major brain fart and said “Ok team, lay down on this one because we will be seeing these guys in the NFC Championship game and we want them over confident.” If Smith didn’t go up one side and down the other on this team after the pathetic showing during the Eagles game then we have a Mora problem.
And I mean pathetic………..I have never seen ANY Falcons team of any decade of any season go thru the motions like the Falcons did last week. Totally and absolutely like Philadelphia had their winkies………….it was a BS showing and I hope Smith kicked their asses.

Last weeks game was a sad showing, but hoping they come out mad. TO and OCHO are definitely licking their chops, but if the D can get some pressure on Palmer….thats a big if.

Would sure like to see some better showing on kickoff and punt returns. I am not convinced Weems is the answer there. We are getting killed on field position special teams needs to step it up.

How about some Tight pass coverage? Our pass coverage is really loose…Kolb was holding a clinic on how to take our secondary apart. Let’s see if our coaches have addressed this part of our game, cause it looked like our DL was pretty good.

Roddy hasnt dropped a ball yet this year.
He has been missed. But he has no charged drops.

If you think Redman can play, if you think for a second Redman is proficient, if you think for a second that Redman will do better than Ryan in any facet of the game, then you have no football sense whatsoever.

Tom, that’s coooooooool about your daughter being a huge BIRDS fan. I agree with you on TO and OCHO…I love the competitiveness of Grimes…but either one of those cats…will eat’em alive…could make for another very long day.

I also love the moxy of Roddy White…but Smith and that Mulurkey guy…are hell bent on being a run first offense. Yeah, I know…we have to run the ball…my thing is…why do we have to be so Dang predictable with it. Andy Reid put on clinic against us last week…Surely Mulurkey learned something from that game.

Anyway…GO BIRDS…kick some Bengal asssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss. lol

It really depends on which Carson Palmer shows up.
If its the same CP that played in Carolina a couple weeks ago….we should be able to handle that.

A quick check of the numbers shows Palmer on track to be as mediocre as always. So far 7 TDs and 6 INTs. Typical year for him is around 25TDs and 10-15 INTs. I think the Falcons will help with both of those collumns and win the game 24-17

@ sid,we know mistakes are part of the game and a win is a win no matter how you win but smith was out coached in the majority of games played.A missed FG by the saints and fumble by the 49ers are wins but sometimes you gotta look at how a team wins.A missed FG and a INT fumble wont happen every week. There not but they(falcons)could very well be 2-4.If they(falcons)rely on mistakes to happen from other teams to win games and not just beat them from being a so called good team then there in for a loooong season.

Your comment is not totally without merit, but mostly it is. I understand what you mean but he wasn’t out-coached in those games, they were played hard and close. I believe if he had of been out-coached against SF and Neaux Orleans they would have been games in the L column. In other words, succinctly put, though they were close enough to lose, we won the damn game and we were in the game because the game plan worked and the team played hard.

But, the Eagles game was nothing but a bunch of grown men going thru the motions so they could get back on a plane, go home and throw a steak on the grill and have a cold one. It should be evident early in the Cincinnati game if Smith had a “conversation” with the team.
