Bracing?????? It would be better if you just stayed home and didn’t get little Matty injured. We embarassed you last year in your own dome[ What a joke] and this year a few of our D players are going to do Vick a favor and finish the job and you QB

Disturbing to read the Facons’ “beat writer” salivating over that dog-torturer the way you did on your Vick Vs Ryan piece.

Maybe you can get a job in Philly, and the AJC can find a competent journalist to write about the home-town team.

Cheese Steak, maybe you embarrassed us because we didn’t have our starters in the game. We were playing a 30+ year old BACK-UP quarterback and you had an all-star in Donovan McNabb. Also, we were missing our starting running back, at that time he was last year’s 2nd leading rusher, and our first 2 draft picks! Maybe, just maybe that something to do with it. Take your a$$ back to philly and get off this blog, this isn’t an eagles blog so show some class. I’m going to philly this weekend for the game and i pray that i meet people with some class, unlike yourself. Get a life

WAH WAH WAH-It’s true what I’ve heard about the Falcons fans- Full of excuses and fair weathered. No wonder you guys haven’t ever won anything and I can see why the NFL will never let you . What an embarassment to have a Super Bowl trophy residing in thugville U.S.A.

Kolb or Vick? From the replays of Vick’s injury it looks like he had a lot of compression of the rib cartilage at his sternum, so I don’t think it has healed much in this short time, so he shouldn’t be able to take many licks, if he starts. I’ll bet that Kolb will start. He looks pretty good.

Our DL is looking great. Would like to see our new guy, Dunta, tighten up his coverage, maybe he can get an int too.

Are you really saying that your D wants to lick Vick????????? Thats gross but so Atlanta. I can see where Sid fits right in down there!

I can guarentee you that Dunta will get just as many int’s as last year- maybe even 1 more- What a bunch of dufes paying a guy that much for so little talent.

Man it’s awesome hearing about how we never won anything from a freaking EAGLES fan… are you serious????? We’ve got the same amount of NFC championship wins in the last 12 years as you.

You might want to stick to baseball this weekend buddy. It doesn’t matter who your QB is. Your OL is swiss cheese… and you just signed CLEVELAND’s B team running back.

This game is personel. Try and keep your coach off the cake this week.

I was going to say the same thing SawThat.
You know, all the feeble minded individuals who said last year Matt faked injury because he was “scared” to face #7.
Funny, who’s injured now.
B4 is nothing but a sad, sad tool..

We had a team when Atlanta was still rebuilding after we torched your sorry town. Terminus was a much better name for it. The end of the line for any sports hope. Bye the way , how’d the Braves do? HAHAHAHAHA

Whats B4? Some stupid southern thing? You don’t think Ryan faked that injury? C’mon man- Right before Vick came back there and then mysteriously it heals 2 weeks later! It’ the first case of turf toe healing in 2 weeks that anyone has ever seen. Matty coward”ice” is what it is .

Seen………You might want to go ahead and start pretending to be a Bengals fan.
The Eagles are starting to get as banged up as the Falcons were last year, and they have a tough looking schedule ahead of them.
Falcons over the Eagles by 14 points, at the very least.

Vick would probably do anything to get back on the Falcons team, which is heading places-and out of that godforsaken wasteland that is called Philadelphia. What a dreadful place to have to live and play a sport for.

The Falcons will win because they are clearly the better team. Vick will not be able to carry that awful team by his lonesome. And Kevn Kolb? Are you kidding? He’ll be traded to Buffalo or something next year.

Remember when we got in the fight in the middle of the field before the game…….we won that night in 2005 14-10….@ the Dome. McNabb suffered a bruised sternum and it was later discovered he had suffered a sports hernia as well………..thank you Falcons………..that plagued him the rest of the year. Glad to see he is doing so well against his old team……!!!

To all the vick supporters, Matty ICE 7-1 since coming back from foot injury with road wins at new york, and new orleans. vick starts one game and can’t finish the game=vick you’re done, and cant take a hit, wussy!
Falcons pound Kolb, and force the Eagles to go to their third QB. Falcons roll 31-13.

I was glad to see Vick go down like he did. Any pro qb is going to have problems playing a whole season. Then when he starts running for yardage, it’s over with.

Forget the dog torturer part. When Vick started with the Falcons he turned upfield and made great runs. After a few hits he went out of bounds and was less of a threat. He got a 2nd chance in Philly. Thank goodness in Atlanta. Started running upfield again. A few more hits like week before last and he will be heading for the sidelines again. And remember, his winning percentage is only 57%. That’s not a great QB.

Matt Ryan is going to take back Philadelphia on Sunday. This will be his best game as a pro.

The defensive line is going to take this personally. The corn is coming off the Kolb this week.

I noticed where the headline in the paper said that there might not be a Falcons-Vick matchup. Thats not the matchup fans are clamoring for. ALL FALCON FANS ARE CLAMORING FOR THE VICK-RYAN MATCHUP. Thats the ultimate matchup to see once and for all were the Falcons justified in letting Vick go and is Ryan a better quarterback than Vick at this juncture. Matt Ryan is a future first-ballot hall of fame quarterback who was the MOST IMPRESSIVE QUARTERBACK EVER COMING INTO THE NFL. Thats who Matt Ryan is. Matt Ryan will easily OUTGUN Mike Vick. Ryan will not rush for more yards than Vick, but his qb rating will be at least 100 points higher than Vicks. This is what the fans want to see.

Now it’s time for a FOOTBALL fan to speak. The game is between the Eagles and the Falcons. No sub-plot needed. We win and we continue to be in the drivers seat in the NFC South. This is just another game for the Falcons. Just like Cleveland and S.F. VICK WILL NOT PLAY!!!! No story here. I get so sick of the drama queens that appear on this blog at the mention of Michael Vick. In case you haven’t gotten the memo, America no longer cares about the dog-fighting incident, especially not real football fans. I know Eagles fans don’t could care less. Like it or not, the NFL is all about money and winning. If you beg to differ, you probably should be watching the re-runs of the Westminister Dog Show on ESPN Classic instead of the NFL.

If Vick expects to have a long career in the NFL he better learn to slide. He doesn’t have the build or the bulk, combined with his age, to survive a 1000 yard season rushing.

Forget the NFC South; a win in Philly and we are in the NFC drivers seat period.

NFC East is toast. Philly, Dallas, NY have not played yet so at least one of these teams, already one behind the Falcons, are guaranteed more losses. Redskins still have 5 games in their division.

Falcons just need to take care of the team in front of them. The rest of the division and conference are scheduled to take care of themselves and half the teams behind us are guaranteed to lose.
