Good Morning Seen, been waiting on you, you peeshwank.
Are you here to further unimpress us with your obvious lack of
purpose in life?
I’m kinda with Mora on that one. Yeah, he’s still bratty, but what did the guy expect him to say, “I was a crappy coach, but I know how Eagles fans should feel”. The guy tried to punk Mora, but you can’t punk a punk. Good for him. I’m glad he isn’t our coach, but I like him on TV.
Coach Jim Mora and Coach Singletary are cut from the same cloth…UNPREPARED and ILL-CONCEIVED.
Neither earned their way to be a NFL head coach. Both got their based on nepotism.
Interview is hilarious. Mora felt it when Doug spoke about him keeping his job in ATL. Poor question from Doug. Job of the interviewer to take the high road.
@PMC….. Soooooo, you’re saying he shud have thrown himself further under the bus??? So Mike Vick is not responsible for his actions, Jim Mora is? Vick already said he was lazy in ATL so he knows he did not put in the work he shud have. He knew that when he was in ATL but he relied on the abilities he had an did not take the time to develop anything else. I use to watch him on the sidelines, completely disengeged until he had to come back in for a series. Great quarterbacks of the game study aerial photos of schemes or try to motivate the team. Vick was selfish and he has said that.. Somebody else (Jim Mora), shud say it as well and at least get that monkey off his back!!!
I always say don’t feed the trolls but I think we can make an exception for SeenThisB4. This peeshwank “seen” is an infantile idiot who makes no football commentary, just crys a river of tears………”We were cheated! You paid the refs! The Falcons got lucky!” He blindly supports a team who he thinks won’t let him down. He rides the coattails of where he seems to be apparently in an altered state of moral victory, without even so much as a bother to look at some stats. He is like a swaddled baby, no knowledge of what is real, just comfortable to be wrapped up tightly in his blankie of crap. He has got to be a sad case if the best he has in the world is to go on blogs just to be an A hole. Sad he gets his endorphin rush in a way that obviously says, “Help me, I am whacked out”.
Bad news for him though, the Saints had a nice ride but they have crested that wave and are going to be stuck in the trough of losersville again.
Jim Mora jr is a climmer – he doesn’t know which job he wants first – his dad is right, he didn’t know how to coach the “coach killer players” either. Jr in my opinion would have could been “A GREAT COACH” instead he was “just a good coach”. With cultral players of today a coach needs to go to the “Jimmy Johnson” methodology of coaching, Jimmy was truly a genius at handling the cultral folks.
Veedub. Mike Vick has already admitted that he was immature and unfocused when he was in Atlanta. I’m not saying he’s not responsible for his actions. Typically people who are working in a capacity where they will have to confront a past collegue about their comments will fall on the sword in the interview and be self depricating whether or not the party deserves it or not. Mora agreed to an interview and then was displeased to find out that he would have to confront his own past dishonesty; failures and those of Michael Vick. I’m not sure I understand why he was caught off guard by the questioning but he could have handled it much more easily and in a manner which would have benefited him rather than become another piece of blog fodder. He had to know what the questions were going to be about.
I’m not saying Mike didn’t deserve it but going down that road is not the way professionals typically handle themsleves in national interviews.
Mike Vick was doing really well under Dan Reeves, then the team decided to go into another direction. A player friendly head coach. It was all down hill after the first season.
Mora has still never realized that he misused the personnel that he had available. The team was better than he could get them to play.
Mike Vick was too immature for his job and so was Jim Mora. Really bad combination for us.
Just because a guy used to coach ball doesn’t make him a broadcaster. Mora is certainly no Madden or Gruden–he’s not even a Billick. He stinks! Please leave the play by play to actual announcers–you know, professionals who have spent years honing their craft instead of wannabes and failed coaches/players….
Great implied question from Gottlieb that set Mora off: “You were getting paid to coach the Falcons and now the guy who was your QB and face of the franchise admits he was lazy when he played for you. Wasn’t it your job to get him to do the film study and work on his fundamentals?”
At least Gottlieb didn’t ask Mora about the time he was on the cell phone trying to find out what it meant for the Falcons playoff chances if the overtime game they were in finished in a tie. Mora’s head might have exploded.
@PMC.. Touche, I agree.. Jim Mora is an A$$ for acting as if the questions were out of line. If Jim Mora was mature enuf he would be able to throw Vick under the bus in a professional manner, know what I mean? But I guess I really shud not xpect that type of wisdom from J Mora. So we move on!!
The only success Mora had in Atlanta was the first year when he inherited Dan Reeves team. Once Mora started putting his imprint on the team they went steadily downhill. He wasn’t much of a coach and now that Vick has been admitting what we already knew about “being lazy” while he was here, that just falls back on the coach too.
A offensive co-ordinator and a Head coach both know if they are getting 100% out of their QB. To let such a scenario go unchecked and not come down on your QB is inexcusable.
I don’t think such a thing would have happened under Reeves and I damn sure don’t believe Coach Smith would tolerate it either.
Thankfully, our current QB works harder than most in the entire league.
Good job Doug…..We all know now why Jim Mora, Jr. is not a head coach in the NFL and no longer on the NFL Network. The front offices of Seattle and Atlanta are so happy today.
I was actually listening yesterday and could see it wasn’t going well when he tried to turn around the questions back on the host….I was thinking he was kind of pickin’ a fight at that moment.
MORA’S CAREER IS DECLINING LIKE THE PADRES’ CHANCES OF MAKING THE PLAYOFFS.
Dang! Just read that Mora is doing color this Sunday with Dick Stockton calling the game. Stockton used to be solid and still has the pipes but age is creeping up on him and it’s starting to show on the air–Mora just stinks….
I like Jim Mora Jr. and his dad. These reporters are aggravating at times. I saw nothing wrong with Jimmy’s answers. Goutlieb erks the heck out of me as well.
On another note… We really need another receiver. I really wish ATL would have gone after TJ Houshamazelly!!!! They could have gotten him for at least a year at the league minimum 800,000 because SEA would be responsible for the remaining $7.2M of his $8M contract. Big mistake. Harry Douglas is struggling and not providing any production at all, although Matt Ryan has overthrown him a couple of times. If he doesn’t pik it up, we are going to be exposed because people are going to really start to focus even more on Roddy!!! What ya think PMC?
I think we are ok with Receivers right now. Besides Douglas, we have Finneren and Michael Jenkins. Finneren does nothing but make plays so he is the one I’d be putting opposite of Roddy anyway.
I’m so glad to be out of this rat infested city. The prevalent lack of intelligence in this whole region always astounded me. It’s a wonder that any type of positive output can be generated here. Just look at the uneducated posts here. Unbelieveable.
Hi Jim Mora! At first I didn’t think it was you but then you mis-spelled unbelievable so I figure it has to be you. Any chance you could talk less during Sunday’s broadcast? We’d appreciate it.
Michael Vick still owe’s this city and Aurthur Blank a public apology for his actions. I know a lot of people that will never forgive or root for the man until he own’s up to what he did to the city and franchise. He has a great opportunity to do this next week… We’ll see if he ever owns up to his transgressions to the fans who supported him for years, or not.
And if any of the media members have the balls to bring this up to him.
Good for Mora! What kind of stupid Q is how a fan base should feel? It is just dumb! How do people feel? McNabb was traded right? He was not a free agent and chose to leave the Eagles. So why would you ask that question.
From what I remember Vick was very good player in ATL and had some very impressive games in ATL. Did Doug Gottlieb just arrive on our planet?
Now Mora was never an impressive head coach and I am not saying he did achieve great things with Vick but if you’re going act like journalist you need stick with an objective line of questioning and not just wing it. Get you facts and ask difficult questions of substance and most of all be objective.
LIke I said…..lemmings. If you think that was an “interview” then it’s no wonder “reality” TV is so successful.
I don’t care for JM one way or the other but I care less for what passes as journalism these days. Why don’t you all just skip to the chase and buy Gottlieb’s sponsor’s products.
“Bad news for him though, the Saints had a nice ride but they have crested that wave and are going to be stuck in the trough of losersville again.”
Sid, the Falcons are 2-1 and the Saints are 2-1. You should probably refrain from bias and uneducated meteorological reports on wave action if you hope to maintain an illusion of credibility. Yes, I am a Saints fan, but unlike you, I’m a fan that happens to know some things about the game of football.
First off, congratulations on getting out of the Dome with a W last Sunday, but here’s why you should be concerned instead of elated about the results of the game (at very least, here’s why you shouldn’t make stupid homer comments like the one quoted):
The Falcons overwhelmingly won the posession battle, holding the ball for over three quarters of play (something that doesn’t usually happen to the Saints), the Falcons played at the top of their game all the way through, Drew Brees made some uncharacteristic mistakes that are few and far between, the Saints (who hold on to the ball as well as anyone) gave up three turnovers, the Saints D forced 0 turnovers, and the Saints played flat pretty much the whole game.
In a nutshell, the Falcons outplayed the Saints in most aspects of the game, yet still had to rely on a 1/100 missed field goal in overtime to win the game.
If it takes all that for the Falcons to beat the Saints, again, you should be worried.
If you’d like to point ahead to December 27 in Atlanta as your opportuntiy to prove me wrong, don’t bother. The Falcons will win that game too, because the Saints will be resting their starters.
Remember, it’s only been 3 games, and we’re the champs.
Who Dat
Now that was a funny interview. Some of these media guys ask the dumbest questions and it’s about time said the things that others only thought. One thing you can say about Mora is he will speak his mind…even it he occasionally puts his foot in his mouth. I too have no tolerance for dumb stuff.
Wow, I gotta agree with Mora on this one, that interviewer is an idiot. I mean, “how should eagles fans feel?”??????? What the hell kinda question is that????? How the heck would you answer that? Some of these sportsradio talkshow hosts are just unbearable.
Also, did someone say that Vick needs to apologize to Arthur Blank and the city for his actions?????? Are you crazy? How many times has he apologized? What more does he have to say?
That was hilarious though, I loved hearing Mora call him out like that! That guy is a dbag.
I am surprised that some people are taking Mora’s side here. But, really, I shouldn’t be. Mora’s lack of civility is the norm in what passes for “journalism” nowadays. Rudeness and arrogance are tactics used all too often by the O’Reillys, Limbaughs, and their ilk. While the reporter’s question regarding how Eagles fans “should feel” was a dumb question, Mora could have responded to the question in a better way. I think what really ticked him off was the mention of him losing his job in Atlanta. Mora better learn how to keep his cool, or he will soon be out of a job as a “sports broadcaster”, too.
I’d love to see Mora do a Q & A with a studio audience…
Q: Coach, do you think you could have done a better job coaching Mike Vick?
A: Whaa…What kind of stupid question is that?? Do I come to your crappy little house and tell you that your rental furniture doesn’t match? Geez, you are so dumb…and ugly too. Next question?
Hey JM, Jr…..remember when you said in your opinion if we drafted Spoon first, the Falcons would be wasting our 1st round pick? And you call yourself a football coach. We still don’t care what your opinion is!! What a joke!!
I remember when the press went after Norm Van Brocklin when he was our coach.
He wasn’t the type to take a lot of “stuff” from these idiotic reporters/interviewers either.
I remember one guy asked him “Coach,if you get fired, what will you do?”.
Van Brocklin’s response; “Well I could always be a sports writer like the rest of you idiots”.
Van Brocklin wasn’t popular with the arrogant, rude, know-it-all sports reporter types when he was coach and to me that is a resume enhancement.
This guy was asking stupid, aggressive, rude questions and coach Mora was absolutely right.
He’s just not the type of guy to crawl……. in other words, he’s a man.
Give ‘em Hell coach.
Gottlieb is ok but he says some dumb stuff on the radio, more often than any of the good announcers. Some of the questions to Mora were pretty stupid. It was a bad interview. Maybe, Mora going off will motivate him to do better work.
While I agree mora said he he said to be a jerk, I agree in a way. I am sick of espn talking about how we should feel about something. Don’t tell me how to feel, tell me the score, who got traded, and who retired. I will decide how I should feel about something. I won’t even watch espn, or listen to their radio anymore, too tired of them beating every subject to death.
Do you guys eve plan on letting go of the M.Vick thing, you white people keep this going on, and on, and on! Just to keep spewing your ill-will at this man over and over again, and for what? He doesn’t play here any more, and hasn’t for the last 3 years, but because he was a black QB, we have to continue to put up with all this hate and rancor. Whites have controlled and operated the falcons for almost 50 years and what has that brought, nothing but futility, regardless of who the QB was. The Falcons may have had 6 years of futility with M. Vick, but they’ve had 40 years of failure with white QBs, not 1 white falcons Qb have won the falcons a super bowl, and their only appearance was more as a result of Jamaal Anderson’s running ability, not Chris Chandler. The Falcons have only been to the NFC champ. game twice in 45 years, and one of those was with M. Vick at QB. So what is the excuse for all the failure of the white QBs here? Did they not work hard enough, or did they not take their jobs seriously, did they not have the ability? What excuses are you making for the other 40 years under white QBs???????
I no longer live in A town..miss it!!! but we left during the Vick fiasco and how it divided the city. The Mora circus and his on again off agian romance with foot in mouth disease was the parallel spectacle when the franchise imploded.
Nice recovery by Mike Smith ( a real coach who has no aspirations to coach his alma mater and focuses on the job at hand) > I wish I could be there to see it after bein a Falcon fan for 32 yrs. The franchise may reach the next level and return to the playoffs and Super Bowl again, but this franchise now WILL have winning seasons FINALLY with the right mix of players and coaching.front office personnel after all the endless Sundays I watched and pulled my hair out year after year until “98 then the Vick?Mora yrs and now it seems as if the future is bright from here..which will put folks in the Dome..
And oh ..Jim Mora..maybe after serial broadcasting gigs and assistant coaching gigs, and more foot in mouth narcissicissm.. and more episodes of pointless insight you just MIGHT get to coach your Huskies..just maybe……unless the powers that be in Washington know what most of us already know ..that you’re a one trick pony!

Also, did someone say that Vick needs to apologize to Arthur Blank and the city for his actions?????? Are you crazy? How many times has he apologized? What more does he have to say?
