‘Housewife’ Kim Zolciak attends morning practice
- In other news, Running back Jerious Norwood returned to practice and wide receiver Harry Douglas will play on Thursday vs. New England. Curtis Compton/Ccompton@ajc.com)
FLOWERY BRANCH – Members of the media were gearing up for a busy Tuesday with the New England Patriots coming to town.
But Monday’s morning practice was full of information and one interesting visitor to practice.
Here’s what happened, not exactly in the order of importance.
- Kim Zolciak of Real Housewives of Atlanta, with a posse of four including her little daughter, were at practice in the “family section.” She is rumored to be dating defensive end Kroy Biermann. (Sorry I don’t have any pictures. I had to stay in media box and do my “football” interviews after practice. One media member said she look slimmer than she appears on television. She was wearing a black top and some blue jeans.)
- Running back Jerious Norwood returned to practice on Monday. He’s recovering from a hip flexor injury.
- The Falcons signed safety Eric Brock and cornerback Dominique Daniels. They also released cornerback Daylan Walker.
- Wide receiver Harry Douglas is slated to play on Thursday against the New England Patriots. It will be his first action since the playoff game in Arizona. He was hurt early in training camp last season.
- Falcons coach Mike Smith hopes that cornerback Dunta Robinson, cornerback Brian Williams and defensive tackle Peria Jerry will be able to play in the third exhibition game against Miami on Aug. 27.
TRAINING CAMP SCHEDULE
Tuesday, August 17 — Practice 8:30 – 10:55 a.m. (open to the public); practice 3:45 – 5:35 p.m. (open to the public). COMBINED PRACTICES WITH NEW ENGLAND.
Wednesday, August 18 — Practice 10:15 – 11:35 a.m. (closed to public).
Thursday, August 19 — Preseason Week 2 vs. New England 8 p.m.
Friday, August 20 — No Practice.
Saturday, August 21 — 9:30 a.m. – 11:35 a.m. (closed to the public); 3:45 p.m. – 5:25 p.m. (closed to the public).
Sunday, August 22 — 9:35 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. (closed to the public)

Getting healthy is excellent news. Norwood is a very big part of the offense even if it’s just to make the other team game plan for him. If HD could come back and make an impact this offense could be really good. I love the way CMS pounds the ball. Run the ball and play defense. The third week of the season Saints fans. We’re comin.

Everybody get off D-Leds back. The man occasionally likes to stick a cheerleader photo or a celebrity babe like this one in a story just for fun. There is only so much to tell on a Monday after a preseason game football wise. Personally, I like girls. A little sex appeal mixed with my football dont bother me one darned bit.
Okay, so the chic in question is no Halle Barry, but she still looks a darned site better than any scenery here at the old salt mine.
It is not like he posts tabloid stuff every week or anything. I do agree that if I was an NFL player I could find somebody just as attractive and much less of a head case.

Its really great isn’t it. I mean if u love pro football it is pretty neat that u drive a few and watch what the team is doing. I think its free.
We obviously don’t get to see stuff that is for non-public viewing. But you are seeing whether Ryan is connecting or throwing pics; who’s catchin passes; Redmond or J.P.Wilson playing better; which DB is defending better,etc. Just fun.
P.S. Dont bring your winey child though. And bring them(children) something to play with (nintendo,psp).

D’led let us know if where Brady lines up and if he is playing Thursday. Also, is #20 lining up at left CB? Anxious to see if Brent can take that job; #20 or #21 will be OK but the way #20 was playing last year on the right it would be great to see the same play on the left.

D Falcons — 1. I must confess. Yes, I’ve watched the show. It’s pretty bad, but good entertainment under the train wreck doctrine.
2. J. Rock did get healthy pretty quick. He knows you can’t make the club in the tub.
3. These guys will help the Falcons get through the preseason. They know the schemes and can play in the exhibition games. Maybe some team needing a CB sees them on tape.
4. Looking forward to seeing Harry back on the field, too.

DLed, I’m dissappointed in you if you actually think this depth chart makes Biermann only a 3rd down DE. Go watch Glazer’s interviews, they’re 10x better than Schefter’s lameness on the bus. You’ll notice that when both Abraham & Roddy were asked who the breakout player is this year, both of them immediately said Kroy. He got 499 snaps last year & I’ll bet you at the end of this year he has 800+ with double-digit sacks. Even Abe called him a beast & predicted 10+ sacks. And I’d think he knows more than everyone else around here who has the potential to do that. And Abe doesn’t go around making predictions often, if ever before.

I don’t foresee William Moore challenging Coleman for the starting SS position this season. Coleman is dependable and a pretty good player who knows the position. The team appears to have little faith in Moore getting on the field, however, as evidenced by the signing of Brock. I talked with another player drafted in the second round of the 2008 and he told me that at the Senior Bowl practices, William Moore had a hard time back-pedalling in the DB drills and didn’t look natural at the safety position. In your opinion Dled, how has he looked when he does practice?
