Roddy White may have to discuss Vick’s timeline with NFL
Roddy White is probably wishing he didn't decide to attend Michael Vick's "all-white" linen birthday bash.
BIRDLAND – Falcons Pro Bowl wide receiver Roddy White may have some explaining to do to NFL authorities.
Reports have surfaced that Michael Vick did not leave the party as early as his lawyer previous stated. White, the Falcons two-time Pro Bowl wide receiver, also stated that they’d left the party long before the shooting occurred.
Video has surfaced showing that Vick left three minutes before the shooting occurred, which is in direct contradiction of the statements of Vick’s attorney Lawrence Woodward and White.
The NFL has already said that it wanted to investigate the facts of the case and it’s likely that White will have to meet with NFL security to go over his version of the story. (Just a bit of advice for No. 84, tell the truth!)
He’s probably not in any trouble under the personal conduct policy, but maybe he just should have sent Vick a birthday card instead of going to work the youth football camp and attending the birthday bash.
Also, since we are talking about wide receivers this morning, what about the news that San Diego’s Vincent Jackson is on the trading blocks.

Over the last two seasons, the Falcons have signed their starting receivers to long-term contracts.
Last season, White was signed to a six-year, $50 million deal.
During the 2008 season, Michael Jenkins was signed to a four-year, $20 million extension.
So with Jackson on the market according to the San Diego Union-Tribune, the Falcons
probably can’t afford to get in the mix and add another high-priced receiver.
What do you all think, should Roddy shoot NFL security straight? Should the Falcons get creative and figure out a way to go after Jackson? It looks like Seattle and Washington are the early favorites for the Pro Bowler’s services.

@Moose I read it the first time but I don’t see anywhere that you stated the manager spoke (on camera mind you) everyone exiting the facility at 1:45 am , then a large crowd started gathering around Vick for autographs & whatever else. Then the shooting took place at 2:10. I did not see that in you post. Plus if Vick was so fired up why did he stay around his well-wishers so long?

Well, it’s starting to open up so I guess people are talking……….
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the shooter in the events following Michael Vick’s birthday party last Thursday night is expected to turn himself into police “soon.”
Schefter believes the shooter’s admission of guilt will help clear up Vick’s whereabouts prior to the melee that left his cousin, Quanis Phillips, with a bullet to the leg. Vick’s camp claims the Eagles’ QB left the scene some 20-30 minutes before the shooting. It’s believed the restaurant that hosted the party has video showing Vick was there three minutes before. Look @Jim in Ga when you have people crowding you as well as security its hard to really do anything other than get out, as soon as possible, but its your birthday so I really think he wasn’t trying to do anything other than ENJOY LIFE !!!!!! Mike knows what he has to do to stay out of trouble, so even if he loves his fiance, I don’t believe he is willing to go back to jail for her or anybody !!!

I am absolutely disgusted by this hypocrisy by the AJC. This newspaper “claims” that it never prints the names of rape victims, but they run Mike Vick’s name in here every single week for no reason! He could not help what happen to him in prison. I am tired of it! Keep your head up Mike!

Lets be clear here. BEN WAS NOT PROVEN INNOCENT. For reasons I still don’t understand he was just not brought up on charges. The fact that ALL the cops that came into contact with him that night are now unemployed might tell a few things about what happened. READ THE REPORT.
As for Vick. The man had all the talent in the world. Blank messed that up after the first year. Notice how his numbers went DOWN after he didn’t have a good coach on his butt constantly? He made a mistake and paid for it. Yea, the humane society and everyone got after him harsher than others but then again, how many 100million dollar people fight dogs??
Keep the receivers intact for now. Go after AJ Green next year. Use Jenkins to get the first pick. It’s the defense we need to worry about more than the offense. Benching Jenkins after one bad game might be a nice wake up call at some point.

Edward, the reason Ben was not charged is because the victim said she would not testify. It is impossible to get a rape conviction without testimony from a victim. I am sure Ben paid her a nice sum of money, but that is America, ask Kobe how that works.
As for Kearney, why is this even an issue? Harry Douglas had the exact same thing happen, as woman was raped in his home too, and he was not punished.
This Vick episode would not have any legs either, except for the minor issue of him being on Parole.

Whatever goes for Kearney, goes for Harry Douglas. Both had woman raped in their house, neither was punished.

The guy shot was the guy who testified against Vick – did Vick invite him? If so, why? To set up the shooting? Most of you GA folks, with your baptist distortion of alcohol, don’t realize that the northeast does not give a crap if you drink. thus, most restaurants have bars in them, and most don’t have any kids – just adults. The nexus in this whole incident is Vick – who we know is an unrepentent liar. When it all comes out, I will be surprised if Vick is still employed by the Eagles. I rooted for Vick – fool me once, but to continue to fool yourself? Vick is about as ghetto as you can get, and for whatever reason, he could just never get that ghetto out of himself. Really a shame.
