Roddy White may have to discuss Vick’s timeline with NFL
Roddy White is probably wishing he didn't decide to attend Michael Vick's "all-white" linen birthday bash.
BIRDLAND – Falcons Pro Bowl wide receiver Roddy White may have some explaining to do to NFL authorities.
Reports have surfaced that Michael Vick did not leave the party as early as his lawyer previous stated. White, the Falcons two-time Pro Bowl wide receiver, also stated that they’d left the party long before the shooting occurred.
Video has surfaced showing that Vick left three minutes before the shooting occurred, which is in direct contradiction of the statements of Vick’s attorney Lawrence Woodward and White.
The NFL has already said that it wanted to investigate the facts of the case and it’s likely that White will have to meet with NFL security to go over his version of the story. (Just a bit of advice for No. 84, tell the truth!)
He’s probably not in any trouble under the personal conduct policy, but maybe he just should have sent Vick a birthday card instead of going to work the youth football camp and attending the birthday bash.
Also, since we are talking about wide receivers this morning, what about the news that San Diego’s Vincent Jackson is on the trading blocks.

Over the last two seasons, the Falcons have signed their starting receivers to long-term contracts.
Last season, White was signed to a six-year, $50 million deal.
During the 2008 season, Michael Jenkins was signed to a four-year, $20 million extension.
So with Jackson on the market according to the San Diego Union-Tribune, the Falcons
probably can’t afford to get in the mix and add another high-priced receiver.
What do you all think, should Roddy shoot NFL security straight? Should the Falcons get creative and figure out a way to go after Jackson? It looks like Seattle and Washington are the early favorites for the Pro Bowler’s services.

Maurice, the video tape the police now have shows the man who was shot slapped Vick’s gf’s right before he left and then 3 minutes later the man was shot. That’s a pretty solid motive to have the crime committed.

There was no followup DOL…..the AJC wrote all of 2 articles – the day of and the next day regarding Kerney’s house rape incident. Did the AJC get copies of the police investigation? A crime happened and there was no suspect arrested and it happened at the home of a very popular athlete that lived in Buckhead…….but y’all didn’t want to share the police report with the readers? Who was the police officer that gave you the statement that the case was closed. You are lying and what’s shameful is you think the archives will magically disappear right now. Pathetic. Told you, Perez Hilton is now officially qualified to be an investigative journalist per the AJC standards.

prime example of poor reading comprehension skills. A surveillance tape showing the outside of the restaurant….now also shows what happened on the inside of the restaurant. Now how did that happen? Is there any statement from either owner or manager of the restaurant that confirms a videotape of what happened on the inside? No, but why let facts stand in the way of good hyperbole.

Oh I should be banned because DOL just wrote he was “pretty sure” the AJC did its due diligence like good little investigative reporting would require regarding a case involving a popular athlete living in the Atlanta city limits?? That’s baiting? LOL Oh…I see, its preferable to actually NOT write facts, but conjecture and speculation without even an opinion from a criminal defense attorney that has worked in the federal courts or someone that has actually worked in the DOJ on probation violations before…or even a comment from a representative of the NFLPA.
I get it, this is a BLOG…so the ethics standards per any journalist association does not actually apply. MMMKAY.

DOL, tell your editor to defend that, because you’re clearly not capable. The AJC by its OWN records, did not investigate what happened at Kerney’s house. They did NOT report on either the ongoing investigation or any conclusion (if there is one, because the case may still be open, per the lack of information provided by the hometown paper) – but you really dont have any “facts” of note regarding this Vick story do you? I mean FACTS, not what you link to from another blog, or information not corroborated by the actual VA police – FACTS…you do know what a fact is right? Its diffferent from an opinion and its not what no-named witnesses said…but what the police right down that becomes public record.

Vick is GONE, so why should we give a damn about what he does??? He is the Eagles hemorrhoid now. As for Roddy White, he ain’t exactly a “premier” receiver in the league yet and I am SURE that Mr. Blank, TD and Mike Smith will sit his butt down and tell him to S.T.F.U. about talking to the press about Vick.
If Roddy White wants to stand by his “friend” then fine, but STOP advertising it to the media, especially right before Training Camp and possible run to SB. It’s been a quiet and healthy off season for the Falcons so far and that’s EXACTLY the way it NEEDS to stay!!!!!

What I don’t get, is how all of the Vick supporters talk about what he did for the Falcons and what he did for Atlanta. HE DID NOTHING!, He didnt take us to a superbowl, but Chris Chandler did, he never had back to back winning seasons, but Ryan has. His QB rating is not even the highest of all Falcon qb’s, again that goes to Chris Chandler.
You guys praise him over and over, and he did nothing but run for his life every game. His fans say its not a racial thing, but I don’t see how it can be any different. He brought nothing to Atlanta, yet he is supposed to be the best QB ever?????
You want Vick to be a good player and a good man, pay for him to go spend some time with Peyton Manning. If he listens to that man for 5 minutes he could turn his life around.

OK. Vick should really look at the people he has advising him. I thought Tony Dungy was going to mentor this young man or was that just until he got back in the NFL. What about his agent or hell his mom. Does he not listen to anyone. Why does anyone need an entorage?
Second, lets look at the time frame we are talking about 3 min or 20 min everybody knows that CPT does not jive with real time. so what Vick thought was 20 min before the shooting could have been a lot less or more.

@Jim in Ga as I posted about another media outlet @WAVY.com tv station ( Virginia Beach VA) had the scoop check it out, the club manager stated what time Vick left- 1:45 am. What transpired in the parking lot & no the guy did not get shot after ” allegedly hitting Vick’s girlfriend hand “, he got shot at-2:10 am. Wake up, have a cup of coffee, or whatever. If the guy got shot 3 minutes after committing that act it would have had to happen in the club !!! Use better sources ESPN The Herd must be pure ” GARBAGE “.
