Roddy White is probably wishing he didn't decide to attend Michael Vick's "all-white" linen birthday bash.
BIRDLAND – Falcons Pro Bowl wide receiver Roddy White may have some explaining to do to NFL authorities.
Reports have surfaced that Michael Vick did not leave the party as early as his lawyer previous stated. White, the Falcons two-time Pro Bowl wide receiver, also stated that they’d left the party long before the shooting occurred.
Video has surfaced showing that Vick left three minutes before the shooting occurred, which is in direct contradiction of the statements of Vick’s attorney Lawrence Woodward and White.
The NFL has already said that it wanted to investigate the facts of the case and it’s likely that White will have to meet with NFL security to go over his version of the story. (Just a bit of advice for No. 84, tell the truth!)
He’s probably not in any trouble under the personal conduct policy, but maybe he just should have sent Vick a birthday card instead of going to work the youth football camp and attending the birthday bash.
Also, since we are talking about wide receivers this morning, what about the news that San Diego’s Vincent Jackson is on the trading blocks.

San Diego Chargers wide receiver Vincent Jackson (83) reacts after making a reception in the first half of an NFL divisional playoff football game against the New York Jets, Sunday, Jan. 17, 2010, in San Diego. The Jets' Jim Leonhard (36) is at left. (AP Photo/Lenny Ignelzi)
Over the last two seasons, the Falcons have signed their starting receivers to long-term contracts.
Last season, White was signed to a six-year, $50 million deal.
During the 2008 season, Michael Jenkins was signed to a four-year, $20 million extension.
So with Jackson on the market according to the San Diego Union-Tribune, the Falcons
probably can’t afford to get in the mix and add another high-priced receiver.
What do you all think, should Roddy shoot NFL security straight? Should the Falcons get creative and figure out a way to go after Jackson? It looks like Seattle and Washington are the early favorites for the Pro Bowler’s services.

Roddy had better end his association with Vick if he values his future with the Atlanta Falcons. Our front office will not employ players who do not demonstrate better judgement than this.

Mike Vick left BEFORE the shooting, because his hangers-on and enabling “dogz” gave him a heads up that some caps were about to get popped in some people and that he needed to jet.

Falcon sorry – you are right again, his people are so addicted to crack, recreational fornication & government hand outs they missed embracing ethical behavior, then blame whitey for their poverty – works well for all the brothers in jail, all the kids without fathers and all the nappy headed sex partners.

Too funny, 20 minutes or 3 minutes he left, so he didnt do anything…….right. You know Al Capone was never at the scene of the crime either, I’m sure he got a bum rap just like Vickie boy.

Note to “Free Mike Vick”:
Your moniker indicates you do not have a clue that Vick was released from prison July 20, 2009. I am certain I am not the only one that wouldn’t be upset if Ben Rothlisberger lost a testicle or two but I won’t let you say “no one cares” and speak for me. Rothlisberger will lose $473,529 for every game he is suspended and the Steelers have an option to tap into his signing bonus if they choose to. Rothlisberger wasn’t prosecuted because the victim chose not to pursue a legal avenue. Prosecutors are not going to pursue cases when they don’t have a high percentage chance of winning the case. In Vick’s case he committed a federal offense and that is an entirely different arena than local criminal court. Face it “Mr Free Mike Vick”, the man has a $100 Million dollar contract and decides to invest his money in an illegal enterprise (across state lines to boot). Now this just reeks of higher intelligence. And in Ben’s case, if I were that girls father, I would hunt him down like a dog….(hmmm, bad choice of words). Publically I’ll just say to have a few words. One last note, if the girl collected a nice pay day from Ben well good for her. Rothlisberger is as stupid as Vick but I would be hard pressed to argue which of the two would win the “I am the bigger idiot” award.

Question: How would anyone (including White or Vick) know when the shooting occurred if they left the scene before the shooting occurred?
Just a thought.

This will be the second time that Mike Vick has almost destroyed Roddie’s career. The first was when he could never hit him as a receiver. Let’s be honest. Roddie would not be a Pro Bowler if Mike Vick was still here. I say.. stay away from Mike Vick if you are in the NFL.

I left the club 3 minutes before a dude who snitched on me got shot up in the parking lot. I only lied about what time I left because I didn’t realize there would be footage of me…. uh I mean I was confused. I have no idea what happened except I’m innocent and should be a starting QB…

Somebody already stated the answer to your well-meaning query at 9:48 am.
Roddy White will always be worshipped as a “god” by certain people, purely for aesthetic reasons, just the way they still believe Vick is innocent, the smartest man alive, pure as honey, willing to buy them all a free iPhone and able to deliver them all from their sins.

Everybody that truly love Mike Vick and Roddy White!
MV7 THE MAN best thing that ever happen to this town! And what we need to do as a community is come together to show our support and our solidarity and our love for the special human being that put this city on the map!
Let’s everybody put on your #7 jerseys Falcons or Eagles and let us all show all the haters that we all know and remember who the real face of football in this city is and remind Arthur Blank of all the people who remember what he did to the greatest athlete in the history of this whole state!
When we go out and about each day while showing our support for Mike by wearing our jersey let’s all do the following together to show we are united and that we are strong.
* When you go out to the mall to do your shopping walk as slow as you can so that all the haters will be stuck behind you and they will see that 7 IN THEIR FACE! They will remember who they REAL QUARTERBACK is!
* You go into one of them stores and start singing out loud about #7 while wearing your jersey or however you feel lead to do. There ain’t nobody going to take away mine or your right to free speech. Make all them haters know how you feel!
* If you go to the movies be sure to say your love for Mike loud and proud during the movie so all the haters won’t be able to enjoy the movie and will have to sit there and think about what this city lost.
* When you get out on the highway don’t use your turn signal when you make turns or change lanes so all the haters will be confused about where you going – You will be just like Mike do when he dodge line backers and won’t no body be able to guess where he will zig zag next.
* When you got out to get you some lunch back your ridez into as many parking spaces as you can so all the ignorant haters won’t have nowhere good to park.
* After you have your lunch in your ride and throw your bones out the car window be sure to get to to arrange them so they spell out MV7 and so all the haters will see it and be forced to RECOGNIZE! when they walk by and see it.
Together we are strong! And we can send a message to EVERYBODY that MV THE MAN is back in the NFL and he is to take care of business! Show all them sorry people that just want to hate on Mike for NO REASON what’s up!
WE LOVE YOU MIKE AND RODDY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In light of this new video, anybody with a functioning brain cell knows that Vick and his posse ordered this shooting. Minutes after Vick and his entourage sped off, Phllips is shot! Does anyone really believe that Vick didn’t have a hand in this incident? I will bet you the Feds are going to look deep into this and when they do, Vick ends up back in prison. No way they let this one go since both of these guys are on federal probation, and neither are supposed to be near the other.
Falcon sorry, I am convinced you are some white dude who smokes weed and comes on here to get a kick from writing distorted comments. Because surely know one could be that dumb.

Dan…the counseling of Vick was to have been done in prison and the 1/2 way house. It didn’t take. Few thought it would! Big question now is; what will the Eagles do? Can they afford to have this type of person on their team and cause a major distraction? Did he violate his probation by being in contact with undesirables he was told to stay away from?
Atlanta J&C… Vick has a golf outing this weekend? You have got to be kidding me! Think any current Falcons will be teeing it up with this guy. Now that would be a good story to read!

TELL THE TRUTH RODDY!!! While I can appreciate loyalty, and I do and have always supported Mike Vick, and continue to pray for him both as a player and a person. since 1966 at the age of 3 yrs. I have been and continue to be, A DIE HARD FALCONS FAN!!!, and the last thing we need right now is for Roddy to be on the hot seat for any reason, that might interfere with our 2010 season.
And yes Mr. Blank needs to have our young GM become more creative in regards to signing marquee players. Roddy needs help and Jenkins is NOT!! the answer. nor will Douglas be enough to pull attention away from Roddy. Go for Jackson or someone to help our 2 time Pro Bowler get 1500 yds. this year. GO BIRDS!!!!

Roddy has been caught in a lie revealed by the club’s security video. Now, our advice to him is “be honest?” Too late (in my opinion). He has continued to pal around with a convicted felon who is on probation. I have not trusted White since he lifted his jersey to reveal that “Free Mike Vick” t-shirt during a Monday night game. Trust me on this folks, there is always a pattern with unethical individuals. They are always caught because they have to tell more lies to cover their previous ones. I think the best move for the Falcons is to cut/trade Roddy White as soon as possible. The Falcons DO NOT need this distraction as training camp nears. I fully supported this franchise’s recent public announcement that they wanted “high character” men only. I think I’m about find out if those were just words.

If he left the party before the shooting how would he know how long after he left the shooting took place? He probably just gave a rough estimate, is hes supposed to magically know whats about to happen and then keep his stop watch handy, while on the phone with someone still at the party to time the departure/shooting down to the second. We want the statistical analysis Mike! How many standard deviations from the average is it Mike!

Who knows how this will all turn out, but I know this. MV is just not bright. To me, 3 minutes, 20 minutes makes no difference to me.
What I look at is the sheer lack of judgment. You are less than a YEAR….A YEAR…from the day you got out of prison and you get caught up in another “situation”. Idiot. You just had to have this big party to celebrate turning 30….with approximately 300 of your “closest” friends, some of whom paid $50 to attend. Nice. You’re just inviting trouble. And, as is your nature, as soon as trouble DOES happen, as it was bound to, the first thing you (or your “people”) do is LIE. Just like you did before…LIE.

Look if your gonna tell the story do it right . This Philips guy who was shot, already had been spurned trying to get into the party. He allegedly tapped Mike’s fiance’s hand. Mike was not trying to have any contact with this guy. But like many other idiotic brother’s out there, even after getting his childhood friend in trouble he feels Vick owes him something (what that is who knows, he never played a down on the field). This guy is the one who should be locked up they both have the same probation terms as stated in their plea bargains. He came around Vick, looking for trouble & found in the form of a bullet. If a lot of people at the party knew this, Vick could not control their actions. As for Roddy no matter what was said in the media, all that matters is what he tells the league or if he said anything to the investigators. This blog is not a courtroom.

When Vick left is of little consequence. The fact that he threw a pay to get in ‘Bday’ party in the same town all his torubles orginated in says it all. The guy is dumb. Is it his fault that somebody got shot at his party. Not really but how many other parties thrown by NFL players end up in gunfire? Ok and how many of those were hosted by a convicted felon on his second(last) chance still on probation? Bad things happen to stupid people who do lot’s of stupidthings. The NFL is done with stupid ergo the NFL is done with Vick.

ATL Junk,
Please tell us what your constant spamming of Kearney’s house has to do with Vick’s current situation? Nothing. It’s a cop out to distract from Vick’s stupidity. Plus there were at least 3 articles that I recall about Kearney’s situation. He had zero to do with the alleged rape that took place at his house, he was not a convicted felon at the time and on probation.
