The National Football League and the Philadelphia Eagles are gathering information on the shooting that occurred after Michael Vick’s birthday party last Thursday outside of Virginia Beach.
The league is checking to see if the player conduct policy was violated or if Vick violated his federal probation order. He’s under probation for three years as part of his federal dogfighting conviction.
Vick’s attorney stated that he was not involved in the shooting.
Falcons wide receiver Roddy White, who went to help at Vick’s youth football game and was at the party, said they both had left long before the shooting occurred.
“We have been looking into it to determine the facts,” NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy said in an e-mail Sunday sent to USA Today.
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell addressed Vick’s plight at the rookie symposium to reporters last night.
“Obviously, we’ve got to look and see whether there was any violation of policy,” Goodell said.
Vick could be facing another suspension from the league.

“We were already gone by the time that stuff started happening, so I don’t know what’s going to go on with that or whatever, but we didn’t have anything to do with it,” White told the Newport News Daily Press during a break in the youth football camp.

“Just got off the plane. Goin(g) to Mike Vick’s football camp in VA. Should be good,” White tweeted at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday off his Twitter.com account.
Later, at 11: 05 he tweeted, “Camp was nice. It was hot, but fun.”
Jonathan Feinsod spoke to White’s mother and she said Roddy was fine. He wasn’t sure if White was in Virginia or back in Atlanta, but he was not present at the time of the shooting.
“Roddy is pretty loyal to his friends,” Feinsod said on Friday. “I’m sure he wasn’t involved in anything.”
Several Virginia media outlets have reported that Quanis Phillips, one of Vick’s co-defendants in the federal dogfighting trial, was shot after a birthday party for Vick after 2 a.m. Friday morning.
Lawrence Woodward, Vick’s attorney, said his client was not involved or present during the shooting.
Former Falcon DeAngelo Hall, who currently plays for the Washington Redskins, was listed as one o f the “invited” guests on the flyer for the party. But Friday evening he tweeted that he wasn’t there.
“I understand I was mentioned as a special ‘invited’ guest to attend, but as most of you know I’ve been on vacation with my family,” Hall sent in a tweet at 3:49 on Friday.

There wasn’t a shooting at Vick’s party, because the shooting was outdoors, the party was indoors and over when the shots were fired.
Unless vick was holding a birthday party outside on public property the headline is incorrect.

One last thing…Vick get out and goes back to making millions and he is not smart enough to keep his nose clean. Average convicted felons can’t get passed the “Have you every been convicted of a felony?” question on an application of a low wage job. All professional sports should ban convicted felons.

Here is what went down. Me, Quanis “Q” Phillips and Tony “T” Taylor wre sitting around smoking some good blunts when we starts thinking about that birthday cake. Q couldn’t take it anymore and says Ize gonna go to that party to get me some of that MV7 birthday cake cuz you knows Mike gonna have sum good cake. Vick Supporters keep bringing up the names Rapistburger (Ben Rothlisberger) and Matt Ryan because they think its a race thing with Vick. Race has nothing to do with it. Ben Rothlisberger is just as big a punk as Vick. The only problem is that Rothisberger had his enterage covered up his rapes and so far Ben has gotten away with them. If Ben doesnt change, however, Ben will eventualy get convicted of rape and will do prison time eventually. I dont feel that Ben is treated any better than Vick. Vick got caught by the law but so far Ben has escaped legal consequences. I think Ben will get into serious trouble and his career will get ruined if he continues to take advantage of women and continue with his outrageous behavior. As far as Vick is concerned, Vick is beyond help at this point and it appears Vicks life is spiraling downhill and when he lands in the gutter Vick will suffer more serious consequences.

Anyone remember when the 2 live blowhards were on the air bragging about how nothing was going to happen to Vick and the dogs were all calling in saying the same thing? Right in the middle of discussing the Vick barbecue they were going to have outside the station that a caller had suggested a special news report broke in to to say Vick had been indicted. Classic. I also liked their pronunciation of US open golf winner Geoff Olgivy as Gee-Off.

Roddy deserves bashing because he cant seem to shake himself free of Vick. In fact, Roddy wanted freedom so badly for Vick that he wore “Free Mike Vick t-shirts” at a falcon game he was playing in. Roddy should realize the fact that birds of a feather flock together. Vick was the dirtiest bird of all the dirty birds, yet Roddy looks up to Vick and thinks Vick is King of the World somehow. Roody needs to pick and choose his friends wisely and I suggest he drop Vick like some of the dropped passes Roddy had early in his career. I don’t support Vick and I certainly don’t support Ben either for what he did (rape a young lady in the restroom and have his secruity prevent her from leaving) but there seems to be a double standard in the Press and from you bloggers when it comes to Vick and Ben.
