FLOWERY BRANCH — Falcons owner Arthur Blank just dropped by the media room.
He wanted to know how everything was going for the media.
He informed us that the phones are ringing off the hook in the draft room.
He expects tomorrow to be really interesting after the teams get to reset their boards after the first round.

Derrick Morgan might still be there, or do we grab Dez Bryant to take Jenkins place?

Broncos are a prime candidate to trade with. Pick up a 2nd rd pick and back up to 24. I think it’s going to depend on what the Steelers do.

What was Blank thinking, a linebacker, why not go get Thomas from GT, a BIG, physical receiver to compliment White. I guess Blank likes missing out on GT receivers that play in his own backyard, i.e. Calvin Johnson and now Demaryius Thomas, good job Blank???? Way to give your franchise quarterback that big, physical receiver that he needs???????

Sorry Insider, if you honestly think the Falcons should have taken a WR over a LB… than you don’t know anything about this Falcons team. Offense is not the problem, defense was. Is Thomas going to be a good WR? most likely, but our defense needs help right away. The WR’s do not.

Hell of a pick. Weatherspoon and Lofton with Peterson and Nicholas and Wire. We can implement
3-4 aspects into our defense. Babs and Davis or Anderson at DE with Jerry at DT. Then we can drop Sidbury into one of the OLB positions opposite Weatherspoon. With Lofton and Peterson in the 2 MLB spots. If we can switch it up from the 4-3 to the 3-4 every now and then, we can confuse the hell out of opposing offenses

I can’t believe we didn’t trade back once or twice to get more picks. No one was going to take Spoon at this point in time. I am not a Spoon fan. If this is our guy, why not just get more picks in getting our guy. Then we can absolutely get our player and have ammunition to get a 2nd round pick.
Not a believer in Dimitroff’s wheel and deal ability.
