Wow that’s much more manageable than I initially suspected. Another smart deal from this front office! Thanks for the frequent updates–as afellow media maven I recognize how little time is usually available for these blogs. Just know that we ‘preciate ya….

DOL,
you have the better inside info, but where do you see a consistent pash rush coming from? That seems higher priority.
Besides, a 1st round OL means playing time right away…. which ain’t happenin’ if McClure is still around.

Now get a butt-kicking DE pass rusher and beef-up the OLine, and the Mighty Falcons are ready to kicka$$ and take names. Defeat the N.O. Aints in 2010!

P.Jerry better come through… if he does… a great OLB would be the best next piece to the defense puzzle.

Yes, your team won superbowl, but you did it without class. None in the NFC championship game and none after the SB. Look what peyton did with JJ’s bottle of wine, no class. You cant even keep from saying the f bomb in a blog. We’ll see what happens this year when you have 6 teams off bye’s & you get a tougher schedule.

Wow! The Wonderlic results are in – Tim Tebow with his score of 22 is 10 percent smarter than Mike Vick, a bit over twice as smart as Jeff George, and barely over half as smart as Alex Smith and Eli Manning. But he’s over 4 times as smart as Vince Young.

Found it on the main page of the AJC site.

Atlanta’s main needs are on defence, i think we can all agree on that. “Defence does not win championships, it gives your offence the chance to.” said Warren Sapp. OL will have to be addressed i just dont see it in the first round. Atlanta will take Spoon in first & a OL in the second with a yet to be annouced com. pick is my hope and prayer & i will continue to have that positive view till i see otherwise. Waiting to spend way too much on SB tickets in dallas to see atlanta take its first.

Is it just me or would you also rather see the hungry yougsters like Grimes and Owens perform rather than somebody that is choked with money that will hurt the team cap for years …and needs a haircut and grooming improvements if to be a Falcon role model for my sons.

I personally see a Georgia native who will be motivated by returning home and contending for a championship. The $ will be the icing on his cake. You want your kids to have a role model, lets pick up myron rolle in the 4th/5th round. We all know he probably wont see the last 2 years of his contract which are the most expensive.

Did anyone else find it strange that the Falcons would lay out this kind of bread for what last year was a thoroughly average CB, a CB coming off a horrible ACL injury in 2008?

Tate isn’t even the best WR in the draft. He’s projected as a 2nd rounder. Reaching for him in the first will be like what Detroit did for all those years. Get a DL or LB then get a WR in the 3rd. There are plenty of them to go around. How many 1st round WR busts do we need?

Row #,
DR won’t be here the last 2 years of his contract. At the ages of 31 and 32 year old 5′10” CBs are usually no longer #1 CBs unless their name is Darrell Green.

AintsXLIV- Superbowl Chumps, with a lot, and I mean a lot of help from the men in the black and white shirts. And it took a considerable amount of that help from those zebras, for them to get by the Mighty Falcons.I remember when the Aints fans used to wear the paper grocery backs over their heads, just like they do now, when they date a La. lady.
