The biggest difference in our overall DEF play was on our DL. We got some serious inside push and forced San Fran's QB out of the pocket and had him throwing irratically and on the run often. The only change in our DL was at DT, and that change was JAnderson. In fact, our DT play was so much improved, it's the 1st gm our LB's weren't dominate. Against the Patriots, MLB CLofton made about 18/19 tackles because our DL play was so poor, especially at DT. It's obvious our coaches picked up on that fact and decided to start JAnderson at DT. His inspired play might mean DT JBabineaux could end up coming off the bench.

Since Chicago likes to run the ball, they'll be a good test for our run DEF. If JAnderson has a performance simular to last wks, look for him to become a perminent fixture at DT. It's going to be a long week of preparation for the Bears. They have to figure out how to stop RB's MTurner, JNorwood & JSnelling, WR's RWhite, MJenkins, BFinneran, as well as TE's TGonzalez & JPeele, not to mention QB MRyan, WOW!! Even though they're coming off a bye week, which gives them 2 wks of preparation, they won't have 2wks to prepare for what we did to the 49er's last week. GO FALCONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

What really impressed me was the amount of hustle the team showed Sunday. William's touchdown saving tackle set the tone for the rest of the game and Roddy's record setting day took a back seat to his tremendous effort stripping the ball from Bly. You wouldn't see Chad Johnson making that sort of play. It shows that Coach Smith has this team focused and won't let it get stars in its eyes like the '99 and '05 teams did.

This is about as good as the Falcons can play and that's not a bad thing at all. Matty Ice is the real deal and Roddy is back. Matty hit some of the tiniest windows for huge receptions on a few passes that you only see QBs like Brady or the Mannings make.

I really like switching Jamal Williams inside. He was stout against the run and against slower interior linemen got some pressure on the QB. He could be in the new prototypical DT role of players like Marcus Stroud and John Henderson who are tall and leaner than the pudgy DTs.

Anyone still pining for Vick is just on crack. Like the line in the movie Bull Durham. Vick has a millions dollar arm and 10 cent brain.

We also learned from this game that Shaun Hill's helmet makes him look like Baby Huey in a helmet. Sort of like a big bubble on top of his head. Yuk Yuk Yuk.

You are right about Bly, what a goober head move. If his coach has a backbone he will bench him for a game.
