Why isn’t Claude Humphrey in the HOF? Just curious.

Did anyone from the Falcons’ secondary make the list?

Again – Abe is getting no respect. Let’s hope he proves his point by getting a couple of sacks on Sunday.

Can’t wait for this season to kick off! GO FALCONS!

Michael Turner, who gained 1700 yards last season, only 42nd? That is total b.s.

No joke. He was second for the rushing title.

When I saw Burner at #42 the whole list lost credibility.

Turner is only 42nd?!? So a guy can rush for 1700 yards, lead his team to an 11-5 record, and NOT be considered one of the league’s top 40 players? Has anyone seen the list to see which running backs are ranked ahead of Turner? I tried looking it up but their website is not responding right now (probably too much lunchtime traffic).

Probably because people want to see him keep up that performance for another year or two before they rank him among the true best players in football. Don’t get me wrong, I love Michael, but I understand where that’s coming from.

Turner needs another season or 2 to get a better rank. C’mon, last year was his first as a starter. Same with Matt Ryan.

Turner also needed 376 carries to get his yards so his yards per carry were poor compared to the competition.

Did they miss any Falcons? Can you make a case for McClure?

TBizzle, 4.5 yards per carry is poor? Adrian Peterson averaged 4.8.

And how the h*** is Vick #88? His time has come and gone…

These ratings don’t mean a dam thing, it is like the Bulldogs recruits who are in the top 10 nationally every year.

Claude Humphrey’s not in the Hall for the same reason that Jesse Tuggle and Tommy Nobis aren’t- they played for bad Falcons teams. If they’d played for a glamour team like Dallas or a New York team, they’d have been lected a long time ago. I never have understood the logic of that. If you bury a jewel under a pile of manure, it’s still a precious gem, right?

And even after being out for 2 full seasons, that panel which consisted of Hall of Famers, GMs, coaches and players – have Mike Vick listed as No. 88

game surely does recognize game.

Interesting list. Boring blog subject, though.

Falcons need a new beat writer

This blog is dead. The material and subjects have been absolutely horrible. D3 in the birdcage who only does this as a hobby is killing this DOL dude. His blog is on fire and the guy writes very intertesting stuff as well. The AJC needs to make a change because DOL or whatever the hell his name, is the worst beat writer I have ever seen. Another Falcons season is upon us and I already know we’re going to get terrible coverage here on the AJC. His training camp coverage of the team was by far the worst I have ever seen.
